Her suit was a little disheveled but considering she had never once worn a suit in her life before it wasn't all too terrible. Or at least, she didn't think it was. [break][break]

The two dishes were already finished, all that it took was for them to be delivered to the Slurpuff to be sold. Wasting no time, Ruby sent out her Ivysaur. "Let's get going! Hand these off so we can get to work."[break][break]

The Ivysaur quickly nodded their head, grabbing the two orders with their vines and Vine Whipping them over towards the stand to be sold.

Time had passed, and still, there wasn't a single Unown in sight. The sun was rising up in the sky, threatening Ruby with the passage of time. She couldn't spend all day out here, but it seemed like she was going to. She wasn't content to leave unless it either became night, or she found one. One of which was bound to happen eventually.[break][break]

Sure enough, her Unown crew eventually found a Chingling that was bouncing amongst the trees. However, unlike the Baltoy who seemed unnerved by their presence, the Chingling seemed to only want to play with them. With a soft sigh, Ruby would give the cute bell a little wave before encouraging her Unowns to continue on. There was more to see before night hit.

Instead, her eyes were drifting to the clouds above, simply watching them slowly float bye as she listened to him speak. Just looking around? It was certainly a strange way to phrase it. Why did he specifically mention he couldn't do it much until now? Was something stopping him? Could be as simple as a hurting leg. After all they've been up to she wouldn't blame him. [break][break]

However, at the mention of the Girafarig Ruby couldn't help but smile widely. He really was slowly following in her metaphorical footsteps with a psychic preference. "That's lovely! Duo, my own Girafarig, is very content to just graze around and be lazy. His other half, however? Quite bitey. Make sure one of your Pokemon ensures you don't approach him from behind, huh?"[break][break]

As he finally stopped right next to her, Ruby turned her head slightly to look up at him. What was she doing here? She opened her mouth to speak, only to close it as she struggled to find a sensible explanation that didn't involve opening up to the young boy. And yet, her silence at this point was certainly obvious. [break][break]

"... Honestly," Ruby began, sighing as she just closed her eyes. "You wouldn't laugh at me if I said I was scared of moving into my new apartment, would you? I've been camping and staying in motels, traveling all across Hoenn for nearly two years. And it's, kind of all that I know here." She'd roll her eyes at her own predicament. "I know, it's silly. I just, don't think I'm ready to say goodbye to the freedom of it all just yet. Figured, one last night out here, you know?"

She wasn't really sure. Whatever the case was, Ruby simply gave Eris a soft smile as she was turned down. It was understandable, although camping with the young girl would have certainly been fun.[break][break]

"Fair enough! You know, I wish I had explored the world at your age! I didn't leave home till I was 16, you know. There's still so much to the world that I've never seen, but I'd love to one day!" She'd slowly sit down on the edge of her cot from within her tent, approximately more at eye level now. [break][break]

As she asked about anything cool, Ruby paused and thought for a few moments. "Well, nothing I haven't seen before. But I've been around a lot more! Have you ever seen a Castform, Eris? They're incredibly unique Pokemon, that changes appearances, and even types based on the weather! And on top of that, they were artificial! You know, kind of like Porygon! They have a few near the Weather Institute that you could probably take a peek at!"

Despite his dismissal, he clearly needed some kind of medical attention. He looked so tired, who knew what kind of issues he was putting aside solely for the sake of others? It... was honestly kind of like looking into a mirror, especially with that warm smile despite everything. They were really more alike than it seemed. [break][break]

Ruby cleared her throat, eyes drifting to watch his Pokemon floating around the room to heal before looking back at him. "... Alright. Yeah, arguing with you won't do any good, huh? I know what it's like." She'd nod her head as she spoke, smiling softly back up at him.[break][break]

Sure enough, she had a plan regardless of what he said, something that could easily pass off as a normal action in this scenario. Looking at Grace, the Gardevoir had simply been personally examining a local pokemon. "It's too slow to go one by one, let the Comfeys do that, dear. Float up, will you? You know what to do." [break][break]

Sure enough, the Gardevoir was incredibly accustomed to this routine by this point. Slowly taking steps up into the air like she was on an invisible staircase, Grace would float as high as the ceiling would allow her to, before beginning to twirl as she summoned healing drops of Life Dew that spread all across the Pokecenter, floating towards the injured and healing those it touched. Notably, including Greyson and any other humans in the room as well.

Even she couldn't deny just how wonderful honey tasted, nor how her own mother used to get her to actually swallow her pills when she covered them in honey. Or peanut butter, actually. Both were pretty common. Regardless, Ruby was clearly focused on her words, paying attention. [break][break]

"Ooh... You know what? I'll take a few tablets. I'm sure not only they'll be easier to carry than whole potion bottles, but I think Darling here would enjoy the sweetness, wouldn't you dear?" She'd turn down to look at the Indeedee, who seemed to be reaching up expectantly like a little kid at a candy store the very moment she heard honey. Ruby couldn't help but laugh at the sight, grinning ear to ear. "Yes, I'll stop somewhere and get some actual honey candies too, alright?" That seemed to satisfy the Indeedee, bouncing on their heels in anticipation. [break][break]

"I'll be honest," Ruby began. "I haven't used a whole lot of like, potions and physical supplies in a while. Usually, my Gardevoir, Grace, can just cast Life Dew or Heal Pulse and patch most people up in a jiffy. But, if she's hurt herself? Important to have backups, you know?" She was simply speaking to herself at this point, explaining to herself why she was about to spend so much money buying this poor girl out of her stock.

All at once, Ruby gasped and clutched her head. The psychic sharing of information was quick to share the intense pain and hurt not too far away. It was almost too much to bear. Quickly asking her Gardevoir to sever the telepathic link, the Gardevoir worked to push the others mentally out for now as they walked so she could focus.[break][break]

And then she witnessed it with her own two eyes. Andy had been found, but he was in incredibly poor shape, and so was many others over there. What had happened? Despite her curiosity, there was a more prevailing emotion at hand. Guilt. She had to act, now. She had to do something, they were calling for medics. Her training was... still not great, but she didn't bring her first aid supplies for nothing. [break][break]

"Grace," Ruby quickly spoke, already slinging her backpack off her back to dig into her supplies. "You know what to do." She was too focused to instruct her Pokemon, struggling to figure out who to attempt to treat first and with what, before deciding to go to Andy Blackadder first. Children were the priority, no matter what.[break][break]

Sure enough, the Gardevoir would nod towards their trainer. Floating up into the air with a few steps, Grace began to dance. Spinning rapidly, her dress twirled in all directions as Z-Power began to build. Suddenly, a light healing rain would begin to pour down around them, an Angelic Showers.[break][break]

Sure enough, Pokemon would always be just around the corner whenever you look for them. Curiously, Ruby witnessed a group of her Unown circle around something, only for the other group to notice there was a gathering and quickly float on over. [break][break]

"Woah, woah, what's going on-" She'd begin to speak, only to notice the Claydol caught between the middle of her Unown. Even with its many eyes, it still didn't have as many as the swarm quite literally watching it. Not to mention, it looked more than confused being caught amongst them. With a shake of her head, Ruby spoke up. "Let the guy go, remember, we're looking for another one of you guys, alright?" [break][break]

Eventually, the Unowns would flitter off again, with the Claydol floating off back into the woods, hopefully not to be disturbed again.

Not to her pokemon or to anybody in particular, but this way of life. It was strange, all her time spent camping she always wondered what it would be like to actually have a place to live here. And yet, now that she just got an apartment of her own, smack dab in the middle of the big city, she almost didn't want to go. She had grown so comfortable with this, with enjoying the wind in her hair, the sounds of wild pokemon, and the soft morning dew. Now, she'd have to contend with smog, bright advertising billboards, and car horns all night long. [break][break]

She let out a sigh, just laying down flat on the ground outside her tent. The grass beneath felt so cool, she was absolutely going to miss this. Even still, the majority of her belongings were at the new apartment. All she had was her tent, bedding, and her Pokemon. It was really, all she needed. She was happy like this... [break][break]

But sometimes, it was time to grow up. To embrace destiny without fighting back. [break][break]

And yet, all she wanted to do was run away into the woods and never stress about anything ever again. It would have been so peaceful to live out here.[break][break]

She heard someone else approaching before she saw them, always focused on the sounds around them. And yet, she couldn't be bothered to even move. Whether it was simply apathy or an attempt to ignore them and continue to relax, Ruby wasn't quite sure. Regardless, as soon as they spoke her eyes fluttered open and she slowly looked over at Hideo Kino .[break][break]

"Huh," Ruby said out loud, quite confused. What was it with these kids stumbling into her camps? First Eris Halla , now Hideo? Despite her confusion, she'd smile over at him before laying back down. At least it was a friendly face. "Hey Hideo, it's Ruby. Hunting for wild Pokemon, huh?"
