It was not Kjoll's most favorite idea, leaving Kaida in this dusty place with nothing to block the wind, but she was having none of it...good girl. A camera was firmly tied about his horn, and multiple lights dangled from around his neck, light as a feather to him. Seemed Kaida was taking the idea of Lucas and his Lycanroc. Wizened eyes gazed fondly at the woman, still thought of as a girl in the Onix's matured mind, before he turned and, making room for small ones, delved in.

One would think an Onix would demolish the ruins with a simple flick of its tail, but not so. Traversing the underground meant they had to be careful not to collapse soil where it shouldn't collapse, to not crash into dangerous terrain, and to not harm other Pokemon.

Thus, even when Kjoll had to burrow through obstructions, used Curse to take a hit for his fellow little ones, or even create a new tunnel to rejoin the pack, he did so with almost unervingly little noise and alarming precision.

What were they searching for? The soil tasted charged.

Surprisingly, she had little resistance to her suggestion, though she was left with the baffling processing of the last interaction. Friend? Did a friendship just happen that quickly? She only had a quick moment to raise her hand in goodbye and mumble out, "R-right. I'll get it by today. Stay safe."

Alone again, she returned all her Pokemon and stayed frozen. She hoped this was real, and curled her lips in a cautious smile. "I suppose I'll trust it." Her thoughts out loud floated in the air, and they felt trustworthy too.

In a home not her own, but guarded, she took out a PokeNav and conducted her report.

"Is that so? Then I'll arrive on an unpopular day. Perhaps on a hot or cold day." Kaida considered her options audibly, knowing gyms were always a priority for lots of trainers. For a battle, she'd have to be certain to not interrupt trainers. Gym badges weren't a dream to her but a showing of strength, she could prove it at all times.

"I liked them too." Kaida admitted, "I don't see many Pokemon being...so kind like that, it's refreshing, and gives my family a break." She was used to liking dangerous Pokemon but this exception wasn't exactly disliked, she just wasn't sure how to keep it. Trouble was always a concept on her mind, she could scarcely think that the kind Pokemon would be able to stay that kind...maybe her family wasn't the only ones who needed a break.

"I'll arrive when I'm not busy." Kaida promised, rising up and taking the handshake, smile rising on her face, "Stay safe...let's go guys." She called afterwards, beckoning her trio before vanishing into the roving speed dates again.

The confrontation continued under the table. As a child, Bragi didn't want to listen...but as a child seeing the way Hema looked at him and shook her head? And the way Ormr hissed out a disappointed sound? He listened. A memory sprung up in the serpent's mind, and both suddenly became curious about being on a ranch...it was always nice, and Kaida always stayed linger there, but they didn't seem to grasp what it was, despite their many visits.

"It feels better to watch." Kaida admitted. The whole act had been far too exhausting. One needed to act, to speak, to almost hit but not really got someone..."It wasn't really a real fight, so I couldn't say it was that exciting...Glima, ah, the Croagunk liked it. I'd rather a battle. It's just as exciting."

Having lowered her eyes in thought, she suddenly sprung back up, "I haven't heard much from you...other than the Night Market. Good things happen? Ranger things? Gym things? Er, more Audino?" Being kind, healing Pokemon that had assisted, Kaida had naturally taken a liking to the creatures...it only seemed natural for their population to grow.

Again, she was losing time, the shortest thing on the planet during this speed date.

Ormr snapped after the fleeing Orbeetles, letting out a loud hiss as a Psychic nearly tore him off Kaida's shoulders...but it was working. Whether they were injured or simply thought this wasn't worth it any more, most were making a break for it.

"Up. Up. Get up." Kaida trotted around the downed Orbeetles, hastily checking over them and pushing them into the air once she had ascertained there was no grevious injuries. "Don't come back. We're kind, others won't be. Get up. Go and don't steal a home." She curtly helped the Orbeetles escape, seemingly unafraid now that she had felt the Orbeetles felt their strength. Speaking logically, this would keep the Orbeetles from teleporting back using each other's presence, but speaking in Kaida's manner, she simply didn't want to leave them if they were too injured.

"They're smart!" She commented appreciably, "I hope they're smart enough to not come back." A Pokemon becoming a public nuisance usually didn't end well for said Pokemon. She only hoped their big brains didn't also make big pride.

Quite suddenly, Kaida sat where she stood, petting Ormr as he coiled around her. "Thank you for this." Crisis averted, she was back to being a calm mask, and her Pokemon returned to her side, "...I don't even need this home, but the League does...I owe you." The last portion was stated incredibly seriously, as in her opinion, this was not working together, this was someone else picking up her mess. A stupid screw-up she should have solved herself. It was a home, it was her duty.

She perked up at a thought that rose up once more, "Oh. We're finished." She glanced back at Orion, face set so that one could almost hear her next words incoming, "Both of us should rest now." She spoke firmly and included the both of them, just so it'd be fair.

Kaida seemed to study the Noivern before her, as if looking for some proof of speed and then answered with a good-natured, "We can, I trust her, and know my Onix." She knew the giant of a Pokemon, that he was no weaker by not being evolved, and a speed that reached a unbelievably fast pace in the appropriate environment. Sand and rocks were child's play as long as they never found a reason to use Curse. Thus, avoiding attacks would be the play of the game today.

If this wasn't a race, no doubt her answer to the strategy would be that Kjoll could handle both air and ground. However, he would already be handling keeping ahead of the pack, anymore pressure and she was asking for failure. "We can handle that, if they try to strike down Chaser with a bad attack, come closer to us. We can put them down as necessary."

A loud chiming Kaida recognized as a type of siren suddenly interrupted all talks. The race was soon to begin. Sensing the harsh noise's importance, Kjoll lowered his head and allowed Kaida to climb on. With the smooth rock and only being able to hold on to his horn, she could easily see she was in true danger if an attack came her way.

"We're counting on you!"

She couldn't have returned Ormr any sooner, the moment the serpent disappeared, jaws snapped over his previous location. A Carvanha flopped on the ground, desperately using Aqua Jet to keep moving and keep breathing. She remembered where the Muk broke through, where the Krookodile crunched through rubble. They must have provided a way for the fish to break through, and now it was in danger.

Her new partner was thrown out, a Servine that stood straight and refined, turning her nose at the chaos but still loyal to Kaida. "Be precise, Freki. I need our new family there to stand still." Her words were the release, and Freki darted forward, avoiding desperate snaps at the sudden approach, reared her tail back, and Slammed the Carvanha.

Perfect. Kaida swiftly flung another Pokeball at the immobilized fish.
