The waters vibrated with the cries of Luvdisc darting out of their trap, Nid suddenly shooting out and herding them together so that when they finally all escaped, they would all be together.

As the rock pieces fell, Kaida pointed calmly, "Send them far. Softly." As if she had said an understandable move, the Dratini spiraled back, twirling mid-way and sending a tiny, spinning Twister towards the remaining pieces, scattering them into the waters. "Getting trapped is unlikely now." Kaida turned, covered face not giving away the sudden thumbs-up.

"Good job. Your partners were amazing."

For someone who seemed to believe everything was going smoothly and fine, Kaida definitely reacted to the strange sight. She only heard a Pokeball releasing a new partner, and the odd name, Frankie, and thus turned to commit the new Pokemon to memory, so that she wouldn't attack the creature by accident.

And for a moment, she couldn't even tell it was a Pokemon.

Ormr and Silk bristled and raised up threatningly, guttural hisses filling the air as Kaida pedaled back, defensively pulling her Pokemon close, "Wha-what the hell!?" Her eyes wavered between the monster and little trainer, "What is that?" Whatever answer she was getting, though, would have to be in the midst of combat, for she suddenly had to dive away from an Energy Ball, countering it with a rapid Mud Bomb.

On the outside, one could hear a Screech be unleashed, rippling through the floor. Seemed Kjoll was getting to work on the early runners.

"Heard them." Kaida confirmed, narrowing her eyes at the collapsed entrance. That wasn't so bad, all things considered. It was likely that the Luvdisc weren't strong enough to move the rocks, they weren't the most strong Pokemon in the world, after all.

From her mask, Kaida wasn't too visible staring at her dim partner, but she was absolutely staring. She hoped his Pokemon had faster thoughts!

Heading the suggestion, Nid floated about the entrance, small size suddenly helpful as she roved over the cracks and holes. "Can you do it, Nid?...If all fails, use a small Twister to drag them away from the entrance, they'll thank us later." She added the latter after a moment of thought, and the Dratini squeaked in agreement before diving into a hole, vanishing.

The shrill cries of Luvdisc only increased in volume as a Dratini entered their midst, but a loud cry suddenly cut them off. Kaida leaned forward, listening carefully before drifting backwards, away from the rocks. "The noise faded. She got them back a little. Go ahead...watch your back. Predators." A sudden swarm of frightened Luvdisc seemed the perfect attraction to a hungry Sharpedo or Huntail, and Kaida would rather the Luvdisc get a second to regain their bearings before they set off into the wild again.

Perhaps she wanted some criticism, because she found herself surprised by kind words, eyes flicking to Orion in disbelief. Ormr pressed close, encouraged by the man's words, and she felt a pang as she raised a hand to pat the serpent fondly, "...You're right, I can trust these guys." And regardless of her previous actions, they had helped. Dwelling was to focus on the past, and that was a one-way trip to weakness...not now, and not ever.

"I'll go hunting them too if a check-in doesn't happen." With a stoic face and dulled tone, one couldn't tell if Kaida meant a joke or not, not until she continued, "...Heh, kidding, they're good, it'll happen." She spoke with certainty, and why wouldn't she? There was nothing she couldn't do simply. Everything happened or it didn't, so she had to say it'd happen. Partners in hand, that was just a certainty.

Kaida drew back her hand, clearly the Hoothoot was fine where it was, "I'm Kaida, and yes, I can tell you." She clocked her tongue, drawing attention to herself from all her Pokemon. "Ormr, Freki, Hema, Silk, Nid..." She raised a Pokeball, "And Kjoll."

A find light entered her eyes, "They all found me when I was young," There was a vagueness in her voice, memories blurry from the past only revealing a journey through the forests, "You could say they're like my family...how about Hooty? Starter? Gift?"

Once in the water, two things happened. Kaida felt completely unnatural, and Nid felt right at home. Chomper moved fast, forcing the Dratini to hang on lest she get left behind, but she still looked about in sheer glee.

Kaida pulled herself a little closer to Chomper, raising her own communicator as a group of Remoraid passed by, seemingly sensing their peaceful intent. "Let's keep the view great...I know Luvdisc, and there should be some around...we have to find them...see anything, Nid?" A little chirp came from the Dratini, who kept looking around with shimmering eyes, she was seeing lots of things, but nothing they were looking for.

"Do you have others who could have been here? Mine can swim...but I couldn't bring them, only Nid belongs down here."

As the Pangoro's mood seemed to increase in intensity and spirit, Kaida's mood seemed to be starting to drop, hitting a peak as she raised a fist to her forehead. It seemed to get worse at the talk about the Pangoro's welfare, until she found a chance to speak. "Thank you for not letting us leave." A great frown creased her face as her irritation seemed to grow, "I like important jobs, Pokemon needing help...and then I give up on things like this." She was aware of her reports, she was seen as rather apathetic towards jobs, and to have an important job in front of her that she nearly abandoned felt...bad.

A Pangoro batted a paw playfully after her darting Servine, "But they look so happy now, and I want it to happen more so...thanks." She fished out a phone, there was no Rotom, but it did fine for her. "I'll mark it down...it's the least i can do." She had to make up for it, for the Pangoro. Bare environment incompatible with the Pokemon, irritable and short-tempered Pokemon, and lack of interest in socializing with each other.

"I hope they consider it...especially from me." She smirked, "Maybe if they know your my partner, they'll do it."

Kaida made no attempt to yell out like Annie, instead letting her Pokemon hiss out in a threatening display. The lightning bolts barreling towards them was swallowed up by the Marowak, and Kaida pointed at an approaching presence. Electrode. Fast. "Ormr."

A Mud Bomb shot out of the Ekans, venom changed into the quality of mud sent the Electrode reeling away, trying and failing to send a bolt of electricity towards the group. "Keep going. Silk, bite softly." A Galvantula hissed as a Mud Bomb smashed into its leg, sending it scattering away. On her shoulder, Silk snorted out a swirling cloud of sand, which quickly evolved into a raging Sandstorm, drawing irritated cries from the buffeted Pokemon.

"Nice plan...I need some more firepower though." She called out, her Pokemon would tire before all the Pokemon fled if she had to do this herself only.

"Really? Good choice, they're very sturdy." Kaida replied as Nid hid her face in embarrassment. She wasn't one to specialise in types, it if there was one she could pick, Dragon was not a bad idea.

Upon hearing the situation, Kaida's confidence rose, "Rock blockade, that's easy." Her voice took on a more boastful edge, "Shouldn't even need much time. I'm ready." She put on the helmet, checking over everything before stepping up to Chomper and preparing for descent. Nid clung to Kaida's neck, saving her energy for what to come.

"We're in your care, Chomper."

"Its fine, happens all the time with legs like this." She took much harsher falls before, in all honesty, but the apology was appreciated.

"I like to snack too, that's why I gotta do it later, or I will get lazy." She started to explain, "So, no, this isn't training to not eat, I love eating! It's just...when Kaida needs help, I gotta be fast and strong...then I'll grow bigger!" Evolving seemed a magical experience, and what she would give to lose her clumsy arms and legs, and slither like an Ekans!

She stopped still as the other Pokemon asked for her to train them! Uncertainty flirted briefly in her eyes, and then she puffed up pridefully, "Of course! I'm always training, so I gotta be good at figuring out how to teach, right?"

Approaching the coast, helmet and Dratini in hands, Kaida reflected that this was the first underwater endeavour she'd ever been on. Well, even with one Pokemon on hand, she decided she could trust the little dragon. Even small, Nid was tough.

She certainly was not comfortable with her either, she took great, but steps that did nothing to relieve the overly tight feeling over the entirety of her body. She cradled the Dratini resting on her helmet on one arm and extended a hand to Alec, "Kaida Adachi, please support me in this, and we'll do our greatest."

Sending the time was near for diving, Nid made the transition from helmet to shoulder, chirping happily towards Alec.

A noticeable brightness entered Kaida's eyes, and she crossed her arms to avoid swaying in sudden happiness. It was far too often she'd get a comment about the "creepy" factor they had, not a genuine compliment! "Thank you, they're my dear family." Her lips curved upwards in a rare, toothless grin. Freki herself practically preened in pride, quite suddenly deciding she much liked this human, for whatever reason Kaida worked with him.

Looking at the screen, Freki let out a little squeak, looking up at Kaida with confused eyes. "You're a grass-type, it's in your blood...try instincts, it's like breathing." The grass snake took in a deep breath, and darted after the tree specter, shimmering with a green glow of Mega Drain...she was using it on herself?

A burst of energy suddenly exploded out of the Servine, Overgrow activating a surge of energy that suddenly made the grass spill over as she darted about, adding lush conditions around the breeding ground. Nearby, a Pangoro slammed a paw down on the grass as if checking for an illusion, and looked surprised as the springy grass jumped back up. At least this environment engaged them, Kaida would have to tell the ranch owners to keep the vegetation as lush as possible. The Trevenant in particular drew Kaida's attention, even with Freki's help, it was clearly doing the most work.

"Your Pokemon are good too...they're like friends, and strong and happy looking...you're good, not like these ranchers." Good with Pokemon, in a genuine way. Kaida rarely gave out compliments, a useless plesantary unless meant truthfully...well, she felt truthful.

Kaida narrows her eyes at the duo of Nidos, "Ok...I can see that. Fine then." She doubted much could beat the duo of Nidoking and Nidoqueen, especially if they had something to protect. Ormr relaxes on her shoulders as she steps towards the Nidos, feeling thoroughly protected by the duo. "Let's give it a go, then.

"So it's the place?" She spoke as she peered over at the Rotom phone, casting a glance around at the bare grass of the ranch, "I'd hate it too...nothing like they live." She couldn't shake the feeling that the ranch could have saved them lots of trouble if they did some research on the Pokemon too!

She took out a Pokeball, having no reason for the Servine until now, and released her. "We never controlled plants with her, but she learns fast, she can do it." She spoke fondly of the little grass snake, who twined around her legs and looked up at Orion in rapidly growing curiosity.
