There's something expressionless in the Pangoro's face briefly as the "fight" ended, studying their faves as if looking for treachery from these strangers. A sudden puff of air hit Kaida's face as its teeth showed in a less aggressive display. A Pangoro laughing at her was one of the less terrible ways this day could have gone, so she'd take it.

A "friendly" smack on the back nearly sent Kaida reeling as the feeling of mirth started to spread among the bears. Shaking their heads and chuffing out laughter, the Pangoro backed away, the mass hilarity and ridicule of these strange humans over.

Kaida finally felt the safety to open her mouth again.

"...I don't think they'll take us seriously anymore...and I'd rather not make them mad again." She admitted softly, "I think they need a real breeder, before we become punching bags." Maybe she was a little quick to give up, but dying on a mission like this would be the worst way to go, she'd imagine. It wasn't worth it.

And a new joy was entering her line of sight!

Almost in unison, her Pokemon whipped around to stare at the Hoothoot, but almost as quick as it came, they relaxed. It was no threat to them, not at all. "Not a pain, just curious." Kaida spoke gracefully, and held out an arm in case the Hoothoot wanted to come closer, "I'd think he'd be scared of snake Pokemon." At her side, Ormr and Hema flopped next to her, as if to remind her that they were present. A welcome presence, though she wasn't certain to order them away, in case the little bird was frightened of them.

Abruptly, she seemed to snap back into reality, blinking at the girl curiously, "...Who are you?"

To feel lost, to feel tired, was to be beatable, and weak. Kaida liked the faces of her family, they couldn't show their weaknesses, so they always appeared strong. Not her, however.

Slateport was in danger, her home was in danger. Regardless of her travels and only recently living here, Kaida couldn't bare the stability of home being replaced by chaos. So here she was, having normality for once. She didn't know much of what happened yet, nor could she do something. Helping out around the city was for the higher-ranking rangers, she was constantly being sent out for odd, simple jobs. They needed a rest.

All but Kjoll ran rampant around her and the trees, enjoying the sun or climbing through the branches. Kjoll would enjoy the beach later, and, as a rock-type, didn't mind the lack of activity. Ormr suddenly surfaced by her feet, looking expectingly up at her. She could sense Hema behind her, and her eyes softened. "You want to practice? Now? It is fun." She sniffed in amusement, then barked out, "Bite at each other...soft." Two shapes sprung at each other in a serpentine dance, slashing and snapping. It was play, she knew, but looked deadly serious.

Her head dropped low, trying to forget everything so that she might enjoy her joys, Pokemon, a little before hell caught up.

"Good things." Kaida repeated dully, and then nodded easily, "Good things. You're better than I am." Her words rung true, even as her voice stubbornly refused to change to reflect anything. Nor did she change much at the laugh, except acknowledging it with a small voice, "Funny, right? Who's mad enough to send the least knowledgeable?" Not even a single Pokemon breeding expert? It was a miracle they even came up with a plan.

She didn't think they had a bad plan, all things considered, and for a second she thought they had it. The sparring turned some heads, and angry-looking eyes narrowed in an emotion Kaida couldn't read. Some even started to approach! "...We got attention." She mumbled, and looked up at Ormr, who drew back a little...did he sense something? Instinctively, she stepped back. Of course, in that moment a Pangoro leaned forward ominously and bared its teeth, another basic fact of Pangoro surfaced in her mind.

"Pangoro hate bullies." Ormr bristled as a Pangoro's growl shook the air, "I think they think we're making them fight!" Her voice raised in alarm, drawing closer to her partner. "Still," Her grimace looked more like a smile, "They don't look like they hate each other now."

She wasn't waiting long, and turned to meet her partner, greeting already on her tongue as she accepted the handshake. "Good day...I heard your name, a little." The specifics escaped her, as did most things that involved the politics or leaders of the League, but she was aware of being in front of an important man. More important than her, at least. Yellow eyes watched the newcomer curiously, Ormr sensing a sort of nervousness, and uncertain what to feel about such an "important" human.

Her face fell slightly at the question, and she turned over to the Pangoro yet again, "...Nothing much, they talk with their fists and can be angry Pokemon, but I don't know how that translates to breeding...they seem stubborn. How do stubborn people love each other?" So just the basics seemed to be what she knew, they weren't Pokemon she had to deal with often, and never in this context.

As the Nidoqueen and Nidoking were released, she nodded at them, almost smiling, and her face was back to normal in a second. She didn't look nervous anymore, as a possible thought struck her, "...I heard Nidoking fight for a Nidoqueen, maybe the Pangoro need a challenge like that?" It wasn't a terrible idea, she hoped, they'd at least be allies after facing a threat.

The day when Kaida's the one making conversation must be the day the world ends, because she hates it way more than she thought she would. So much, that she suddenly snaps. "Say something if you want to...I hate talking this much. " By all intents and purposes, she should be glad she had the equivielent of a robot, but even if she hated everything about what she heard about this Iris, she still hated being the one talking the most, making the plans. Plans weren't her forte, she supported, she operated on instinct.

Speaking of instinct, Ormr was doing well, snapping at anything that came close. The Whirlpool kept too many enemies from approaching him, and in an instant, Hema joined in, springing from her perch with a Night Slash. The Mareanies seemed to be in a panic, a Whirlpool disrupting any attempts to move, two snake Pokemon biting and slashing any who managed to get near, and the most stubborn faced Slams and Headbutts from the Snivy and Silicobra on land. Already some cut their losses and disappeared from the battlefield, not even trying to press the issue. Kaida hoped they wouldn't be back.

And through it all, she glared expectingly at Iris. She wanted to dislike a person, not a robot. Didn't she have anything to say?

A job to do was always an important job, regardless of the danger or ease. At least she wasn't sent to dwell in a daycare for a few days this time! The Servine, Freki, could burst with pride as she darted towards the sweet smelling town, in particular, a sickly sweet smell.

And she wasn't one to wait, once she reached the beacon of a Vileplume. She offered only a cursory look before diving into her work, tail shimmering with a green glow as she saw a problem. There were weeds among some flowers! These humans were not like Kaida at all! How did they live so incompetent! How did they survive!

She cracked her tail, and with rather impressive dexterity, started ripping up and chopping uneccessary plants, practically ignoring any and all Pokemon that arrived. They could take care of the more delicate tasks of caring for plants.

Her higher-ups must be mad, they had to be. Even the sweet air of the town did nothing to calm nerves that had no idea what to do. Breeding!? Of Pangoro!? She was certain if they didn't like each other, nothing could possibly change their minds!

As if to prove her point, a Pangoro locked eyes with her and scowled, crossing its arms stubbornly. Great, they were already protective over themselves. She herself looked away quickly, not wanting a fight with only a single Pokemon on hand. Her partner, Ormr, glared heavily at the Pangoro, assuming a threat in the huge bears. "Quit it. No biting." She snapped, careful to keep her voice low and unthreatning until the scowling bear huffed and stomped away, pointingly avoiding other Pangoro.

Great start, she supposed, they weren't trying to tear her limb to limb yet.

She didn't get started on the job yet, she couldn't. Love was already a muddled concept to her, and she hoped the Ranger she was working with today had a better idea of what needed to be done to spawn love...she only hoped she didn't look incompetent in front of a Head Ranger...

"Indeed." She agreed on her own "oldness", a hand raising to scratch her head as her lips twitched up in a smile that looked almost prideful of the fact. Commiting the names to memory, she nodded stiffly and placed a hand on her chest, almost laughably softly compared to her partner, "Annie, Geist, I'm Kaida...just a Ranger, I don't have a camp to call home anymore, and these two are Ormr and Silk...they'll help on the inside, we're happy to meet you." Ormr clicked his jaws, and Silk wagged his stumpy tail, they sure were happy.

At the explanation of the plan, Kaida stayed pondorously silent, and then turned around and threw a Pokeball. "I like it. Kjoll here can make sure they leave for good." And Kjoll the Onix materialized, rumbling and lowering his head towards Kaida to await his task, "Once we chase them towards the outside, Kjoll will keep chasing them...he won't hurt them, he will make sure they don't think to sneak back." Even a smaller recurrence of Pokemon could cause problems, and she didn't want a stubborn Pokemon facing someone with less mercy than them. If possible, the Onix's face softened at the simple task and he relaxed.

She beckoned Ormr and Silk, taking them up on her arms and placing them on her shoulders like it was the most natural thing in the world. "We'll go first, there might be aggressive ones even before we take their energy." Confidently, she strode forward, her Pokemon and her like some hydra. "This will be simple.

There should have only been much noise once she and her partner entered the factory, any more than that and Kaida was already more than a little baffled. From her feet, Silk looked up at her with a pleading expression, already wide eyes in confusion. Kaida offered the little snake a twitch of her lips, a smile if one was generous. A second serpentine body followed her closely behind, her other two companions safely in their Pokeballs. They were all she'd need today.

Kaida didn't try to keep herself hidden, but still managed to keep near silent as she approached Annie, "I hope I help." She suddenly piped up, and at her greeting two heads rose by her side, Ormr and Silk giving a curious look to a human young looking enough that they weren't certain she was battle-ready.

"You're...young." Kaida's words mirrored their observation, until she suddenly shook her head as if shaking something off, "Well I-never mind...let's just finish. You have an idea how to do this?" Given the excitement of the girl, she had to assume that she had more experience than she looked, and Kaida figured her Pokemon could boost whatever strategy was created.

That was a good point, and Kaida's eyes fell slightly, coming across the invaders in her eyesight. "That...could be true." She shrugged, "But if they fail enough, they'll stop trying to hunt here. I hope." So her goal was to be a bit apathetic, it seemed. She wouldn't take the most final solution first, not her first time meeting the Pokemon.

A purple and blue head, face scowling suddenly created over the water near where Blue had descended, and Kaida pointed sternly towards it, "All of you will leave." Her voice carried the weight of the fact she was asking, she was promising. Predictably, it frowned in defiance and Kaida directed her Pokemon to the water, "Go hunting. Be soft."

Ormr sprung, the most eager to get into an altercation, and quick as a flash landed a Bite onto the Mareanie's tentacle, quickly being pulled under only to surface in a second, torn off tentacle spat to the side. "Don't kill them, make them too scared to come back." She clarified shortly as more Mareanies surfaced and made a beeline towards their enemies. "Let's not let them close." As the words left her lips, Silk snorted sand at the approaching Pokemon, hoping to slow them.
