Rex peered into the cargo, eyes widening as he stared, "What the hell, this stuff is sweet!" He seemed totally oblivious to the rush they were now in, or perhaps relaxed. Tying the guards to each other with their own shirts had clearly amused him enough. [break][break]

He only seemed to snap back as Lulu came crashing in, startling him back as she started moving the cargo. As if summoned by the destruction, Rex started hearing clawed footsteps, Three was arriving. If he was anywhere near the arriving people...[break][break]

"I think I got it, Mustang, be ready to get 'em!" Three sure was stupid, but the dino seemed it could hear Rex no matter what, "Three, Bulldoze!" His howl was followed by brief silence, and he was terrified that it wasn't close enough, until a large boom rang out. It wasn't an Earthquake, but Bulldoze sure packed a punch. [break][break]

A punch that was soon seen as a great plume of dirt and dust smashed through the door, Three must have ran right into the people. Most seemed ok, though, but slipped and stumbled in the aftermath of Bulldoze. Two snarled and hissed, spitting out a Brine onto one particularly sturdy guard. They were still coming, "Come on, come on! Hit 'em now, let's get 'em!"

It was unfortunate that Rex possessed the desired Pokemon, because in all honesty, Rex could care less. Yes, a Venomoth was scarier than most other butterfly Pokemon...but it still looked like a butterfly. So, with no idea what he had, Rex sauntered in the path of his Pokemon. [break][break]

It was even more unfortunate that Oscar tripped when he entered the warehouse, as Rex offered no sympathy but a grating laugh, "They pay me enough, I'm not so sure about you...might have to replace everything later, huh?" Even with a suit on, he felt dirty, he could only imagine tripping...but it sure was fun when it happened to someone else. [break][break]

Speaking of somebody else, they had some poor smuck on the ground here with them. "Huh...heard these masks don't last forever, guess he proved it right." He snickered, seemed the source of the stench was powerful, a fight it was. [break][break]

Eleven fluttered back smoothly right on cue to Oscar's question, fuzz on end as it circled Rex's head, smoke and sludge floating before its eyes as Confusion held it up for a few seconds before it plopped to the ground. "Guess we found where both this shit came from." Eleven, however, refused to fly back without Rex nearby, forcing him to take out another Pokeball, though with some excitement. "I guess whatever Eleven took from ain't so happy to be taken from. If they're around, we'll have to smack down those idiots too." He jerked his chin towards the fallen form of one of the gas masked men, "So let's go and tear this place a new one...might even smell better once we're done."

Speaking of Two, there it was. It thought it was clever, going low to the ground, but Rex knew, this cure little thing was what Two was before! Awesome! [break][break]

Remarkably silent, One settled low to the ground as Rex released Two, "Make that one of you join us...don't kill it, 'k?" His mumbled order got a soldier's nod from Two as she took aim...and fired a Rock Blast...straight into the tiny thing's back. [break][break]

Well, that was one way to catch something. At least it was still alive to catch.

Rex wasn't sure what he was expecting, but it certainly wasn't the man appearing out of thin air and smacking the two guards down like some kind of ghost. "Wow, leave some for me!" Mock complaint swam through his voice as he patted Two, "Come on, girl, keep us safe while we do this, yeah?" The Armaldo sniffed in obedience, claws trembling in anticipation. He sure hoped that there was something to cut in there for her. [break][break]

"I'm comin', just give me a sec!" He chuckled as he darted forward, hoping that whatever they found was worth all this. [break][break]

It was way too much of a jungle here, Rex decided. Even One struggled to make this place into his stomping grounds. Rex sighed and finally tapped One on the shoulder, "Let me up, I'm tired." [break][break]

Even on the beast's back, Rex hoped he found what he was looking for soon. Two was amazing, so more Twos would be even more amazing!

Rex had long since put on his mask, unable to tolerate even a bit of the stench. "Pfft, can't be." His voice mumbled out from the stifling mask, which was unsurprisingly doodled on, a toothy smile drawn on, "It smells too much like hate." How could something smell like hate? He didn't know but it was certainly this. [break][break]

He had two new partners, human and Pokemon, and he only hoped they both lived up to this mission. Oscar and Eleven...he probably expected more from the sleepy Venomoth dozing on his back, if only cause he never heard of this guy and Eleven couldn't be poisoned by this. Whatever, they'd get this done and then he was gonna throw himself into bed, Eleven was making him sleepy. [break][break]

"I got it." Rex spoke up as he shrugged his shoulders, getting Eleven into the air, "Go get 'em, tiger." The Venomoth hovered briefly, shaking sleep out of its movements, then fixed its eyes on the poisonous gas. Stupidly enough, it could trace that a low window was opened to allow the fumes out, a perfect entrance point, even for the humans. As a bug, it didn't make that much noise, but flew around Rex urgently before flying towards the chosen entrance. "Huh, she got their number, I think. Come on, she's gonna mess them up and I wanna see!"

Three was long gone, doing what Rex thought was the best thing the little dino could do, distraction...and Rex had no idea where he was, personally. Plunging through a vent wasn't exactly the easiest way to somewhere, and he didn't pay attention to the directions he turned down. She seemed to have an idea where he was though, so it was fine, "Yeah...whatever she said." [break][break]

As tempting as it was to just rush in, whatever the guide just said meant she wanted them to team up, right? "Well, get over here daddy," Rex snickered, setting out Two, who hissed and clicked her claws impatiently, "Ya don't want me running in all on my lonesome, do ya?" [break][break]

Not much would change for him? He was almost disappointed. Maybe this new leader would actually be fun if he dropped all of this subtle crap and just did stuff. Was it contradictory to be want and not want change? Not for Rex. Not for a child. "Hooray. More of the same." He sounded both relieved and irritated, tapping his foot as he watched One do his thing. [break][break]

He stayed silent, a rarity, for a few seconds after Gavin explained it was unlikely they'd even be using the shadowy legendary, then scoffed out a laugh, "So the more badass I am, the less I can see that thing do its thing...I wanted to see what makes those shadows so much more...powerful." They were strong, like One, "So, like, how much stronger are they, these shadows? I mean, One is great the way he is but..." How about the others, like Three? Could he rely on them the same way he relied on One? Or maybe he could make them a scary weapon, like this Lugia thing. Even if he couldn't trust a shadow, it would make him feel alot safer.

Rex struggled not to giggle as his codename was promptly overcome with the glorious Rocket daddy. Perfection. It was nice to know that nobody was taking this as seriously as he was. [break][break]

As Lulu talked, Three was set free. If these were a bunch of fossil, wouldn't it be perfect for the distraction to be a fossil? Three would find him again, Rex knew. The stupid little thing still had a great sense of direction, all things considered. He just had to get going. [break][break]

And the distraction began. As Rex rushed towards the room specified, head spinning as he tried to wrap his head around directions, Three shrieked and darted through the halls, bashing at any human in his way. [break][break]

Rex jumped as a voice sounded right next to his ear, grumbling to himself as he tapped a Pokeball and released a little Cranidos. "Hey, hey, Three, stay right there." His voice eeked out of his trusty mask, recently repainted a red that brightened at every touch-up. The dino squawked in what he hoped was obedience before circling around him in excitement. [break][break]

"I got it, T-rex out." A thrill shook through him with a childish giggle, wasn't it great using codenames? Either way, he was sire he grasped what he and his Pokemon could do. Get in, cause their own little personal ruckus, and grab anything cool-looking. With the way he looked, they might just assume he was from some local gang. [break][break]

"Alright, ya little psycho, go ahead Three. Right where the noise is." [break][break]

Rex isn't sure whether this was the smartest idea he ever had or his stupidest, but the liquid courage warming his stomach was whispering that this was fine. The air tastes like fun, of excitement and tension but, ironically, he's here not to have fun. [break][break]

No, he wasn't following one of his newest "bosses", but he definitely wasn't passing up a chance to see the guy when he recognized him. He pushed aggressively through the crowd as the call rang out. The guy, Dominic was maybe his name, seemed like good muscle to Rex. He seemed strong, scary, and confident...he just wondered what was so special that he got to be important as he was. [break][break]

It was a breath of fresh air up on the platform, Rex's "winning" smile only widening as he rocked forward, "Aww, you don' look that tough. Ya gonna prove me wrong?" He talked like he was seeing a stranger, impairment clouding his eyes and adding a dopiness to his smile. Still, his smile was of a shark's (or a T-rex, as he'd always say), aggressive and only praying for weakness. [break][break]

Did someone put something in his drink? All those shadows...he was seeing things.

"Yeah, he looked like the type of guy who'd stick around forever to me...eh, I'm not that smart, not surprised I was wrong." If there was one thing Rex was willing to be self-deprecating about, it was his intelligence. "It seemed great, you know?" Lots of things seemed great to Rex, not many of them ended well for him. [break][break]

Rex looked ready to argue about the Shadow Lugia, puffing up, then abruptly deflating when he remembered who he was talking to. The ever-present fear of injury thrived in his head, and it crawled onto everything he owned...losing One would be like losing a leg, the very thought was terrifying. "That doesn't even seen real." He whined, stomping around and finally letting One loose on a dummy. How could it be stronger than this terrifying monster of his? "It's like ya got the best gift ever, what're the rest of us supposed to do? Get some popcorn while it wrecks shit?"
