The beach was finally starting to look nice and clean and it felt like it took forever. She was ready to high tail it out of there but the passerby directed a question at her, making her stop. ”Hmm?” What was it that he asked?

”Oh uh well Wyndon would be a great place for a vacation.” She began, tapping a finger on her chin as she thought about how to explain it well.

”Guess you could say it’s our equivalent of Slateport or Lilycove! Plenty of things for tourists to do and see, the city’s a real beaut.” If that was all she’d be heading out, it was about time to get some lunch.

”Oh and the train station there will be able to get you to plenty of other places in Galar like Hammerlocke when you’re ready to move to the next city.” June added, just now remembering about the station.

”Anyway with this done I’ve got to get going. Have fun just passing on by more places.”

Oh this guy was good! He almost managed to get right under June’s skin but luckily the girl caught herself before she blew up and said anything she might regret later.

Instead, she let out a hearty laugh, shaking her head at the older male.

”Yeah sure, whatever you say, man. You can clearly see I'm making my Pokemon pick up trash with me. And I’m sure you’re an icon of virtue and teamwork Mister Passerby.” She rolled her eyes and continued with her job.

”And you’re right Galarian culture is pretty different. We wouldn’t have a trash problem like this. I guess people in Hoenn don’t know how to throw away their crap.” She said, angrily picking up some trash and throwing it away.

Beheeyem snatching up some Mareep sounded like something June would’ve heard back in her hometown in Galar. And just like back then she was extremely skeptical if the claims were true and chances were they weren’t.

But hey the dude was paying money for people to stake out the place so she wasn’t going to complain about easy money.

They had been staking out for a while now and because of that June was spending more time playing with her phone than anything else.

”Think we’ll actually see any Beheeyem?” She’d ask her partner for this job.

”Just passing by huh? Right.” Yeah like she’d believe that this was just some random dude trying to be nice.

Even if it was just because the garbage was in their way people always had some alternative reason outside of just “being nice”.

”Well if your Pokémon is so great at picking up trash then it can do my share too right? It'd make my life a lot easier.” She had half a mind to throw away her bag and rinky dinky stick and kick back and relax.

Of course she wasn’t being serious, not only would she get in trouble for pulling a stunt like that, why would he even agree to that?

”Hmm?” Something or one had taken her out of her nice daydreaming and when spotted what it was exactly her anxiety disappeared as it wasn’t a higher-up or something, which had come to yell at her.

No, it was just some guy she didn’t know asking her about a cleaning crew.

”Uh I’d hope so because I’m not going to be the only bloody tosser doing this or I’m going to be upset.” She replied knowing full well there were other people who were helping out.

”Is there something you need help with?” She asked, having been daydreaming just a moment ago she was unaware of the man’s own efforts in cleaning things up.

Just now noticing the psychic Pokémon and raising a brow at it.

June was a bit strapped for cash so she didn’t hesitate when this job came up. It’d be easy, it was just picking up some trash and helping clean up the beach with some other volunteers.

What she didn’t expect was for it to be this mind-numbingly boring. As she picked up garbage off the ground, which people really need to clean up after themselves what the hell, she stared off into space.

She was busy daydreaming that she was anywhere else but here and not paying attention to anything or one that might be in front of her.

”Oh hell no! There ain’t no stopping this train! Full force Jet! Don’t let em’ stop you.” June shouted, throwing a finger out towards the crab.

The bunny in question picked up speed, weaving around the waves of bubbles aimed for it.

When the Scorbunny got closer there was no avoiding the bubbles now so it braced for contact and charged through.

The flames around its body did not die as the fire type charged straight for the crab, the collision of the two attacks causing clouds of steam to erupt.

Picking up speed as it got closer; the Scorbunny lunged for Noah’s Crabominable like a bunny rocket.

Her enthusiasm and excitement almost vanished when she saw the Elite Four member, looking dead as if sleep and relaxation of was a foreign concept.

The young cadet just stared for a moment, speechless and only snapped out of it when her Scorbunny gave her a nudge with his elbow.

”O-oh right! Yeah I’m June Fair! It’s nice to meet you!” She’d reply, walking into Cooper’s home. June wasn’t sure what she was expecting to find inside but she hadn’t expect it to be so…plain?

What was she expecting? Some sort of extravagant interior design that’d probably cost thousands? Maybe she had watched too many of those celebrity house shows.

”Oh it’s no problem.” June wasn’t really sure how to reply to that but honestly, she wouldn’t mind something as silly as some cluttered papers. This wasn’t what she had in mind that they’d be doing.

June had imagined that they’d be going on sort of job or maybe doing some sort of training. But instead, they were talking about coffee and lunch? And from the sound of the toaster, it sounded like lunch was a total wash.

”Ah no thanks, had a pretty big meal before I came.”

”What the hell is that?!” June was walking by a Cliffside when she spotted something standing close to the edge of it. It was some kind of Pokémon but June wasn’t really sure what the hell it was. Even when she got closer to it she couldn’t really tell what it was.

But she had technology! She could figure out what this was without having to get to close to risk aggrevating it. When she went to go look up her Pokémon problem she wasn’t sure what to put. First she put “Some weird egg shaped Pokémon.”

”Fucking hell! I don’t want some bloody exeggutor you useless piece of junk!” She groaned.

Eventually, she found what she was looking at and was surprised to see it was some dragon-type Pokémon. ”A Shelgon eh? The evolved form of a…..” She trailed off when she came to the name of this other Pokémon.

How in the world was someone supposed to pronounce this? BAH-GONE? BAY-GIN? BAH-GOON? Regardless of how one’s supposed to pronounce this dumb ass name June was interested in adding this weird egg-shaped dragon to her party but what was it doing?

Reading more into it June discovered that Shelgon’s much like Bagoons want so much to fly.

It was really cute and endearing. So maybe it was starring off into the sky wondering what it was like to fly. It was a real touching and tranquil moment that was ruined when June chucked a pokeball at it.

”Yeah ain’t he?”

June said in response to Noah’s cute comment, smiling as she boasted. The Scorbunny, in addition to bouncing back and forth on his feet, began to throw his fists in the air as to hit an invisible enemy.

”I guess you can sort of say this cheeky little bunny is the mascot of my team.” She added. June would then go on to scoff at Noah’s comment. ”Didn’t your parents teach you it’s not good to be selfish?” The back and forth was nice but it was time to get back into the fight.

The crab raising its defenses were going to be troublesome so they’d best get on the offensive before it could increase them again but the crab attacked.

”Ember!” The flurry of ice shards was met with a stream of EMBERS, stopping the Crabominable’s attack.

”Quick, follow up with a Flame Charge!” June ordered, pointing towards the crab. The Galarian rabbit’s body suddenly burst into flames as the Pokémon then charged like a rocket towards Noah’s Alolan Pokémon.

The Scorbunny’s fiery blitz helped the process of turning this ice rink into a slip and slide as the ground beneath them began to melt wherever the bunny went.

”Sounds like a good idea as any to me.” Anything to try and get all of these bug off of them. June was happy to get out here and do some real work but it was just her luck it’d end up lke this.

Luckily for her she had a team that was good at crowd control moments like these so she should be fine as long as she keeps her wits about her.

”Alright! You heard her! Go help out and let these bugs!” The two little fire Pokémon ran off to help Charli and hers, firing off their fire attacks, unleashing a big team move.

”Phew! Now that’s a pretty sight, ain’t it?” June whistled, looking at the effect of their little maneuver. With this they should be able to get deeper into the building without as many bugs on this time.

With all that excitement June needed a break so she took a seat on a nearby rock.

And much to her surprise that rock started to move, revealing that it was the arm of a Boldore that had been sleeping.

Luckily for June the Pokémon didn’t seem too bothered by her, just a little annoyed. After June got off of the sleepy rock the Pokémon began to march off to find a new spot to take a nap.

June wondered if she was cursed to keep confusing these damn rocks for Pokémon.

Something was off, someone or thing was watching her. When she looked around she found what the source of this feeling was coming from, a rather suspicious looking tree. June walked over to it cautiously, holding a pokeball in one had as she approached.

Just in case this shit went south really fast she had someone on standby. When she got closer the tree suddenly sprung to life! It spun around to reveal a face and smile, startling the poor girl. ”Fucking hell! You nearly spooked the life out of me!” She had half a mind the snap this tree for being a dick.

And it seemed like the tree was really proud of tricking her, even going to such lengths at laughing while June composed herself. ”Oh you think that’s funny, huh?”

The fake tree's laughing stopped when June released the Pokémon within the capsule which was revealed to be her Chesnaught. ”Not so funny now ya fucking shrub, is it?” One looking from the towering Pokémon and the Sudowoodo fled.

”That’s what I thought.”
