[attr="class","giada i"]her face brightens into a smile and a moment later, the telltale click of a photo being taken echoes against trees. a gastly, one that reminds her a little too much of Abner Armstrong, floats into view. she's quick to snap a picture and send it his way before pocketing the phone.

"cutie," she coos to the ghost. it giggles and bobs in place, half transparent gas following like a pattern. and perhaps this is the only pokemon she won't issue an attack against that isn't a cat because she does nothing more than offer a hand out, beckoning it closer. the ghost doesn't bother to turn her own, instead slipping over to hover above her hand. "you must be a killer with that smile."

caramella mewls at her ankles, a paw swatting up at the ghost as if she also wants to have a conversation with their new friend.

a laugh escapes as he all but hauls ass to the bedroom. she's slower to follow, if only because she has to herd both skitties along with her. they mewl at her legs and dart after him. along the way, she'll scoop up the clothes he sheds to leave in a pile on the floor. and soon, her clothes eventually join the pile because summer's hot and sleep is best with just the skin on your back.

"cmon," she murmurs to the cats. they don't need any prompting, instead already leaping up onto the bed to snuggle into the blankets. giada crawls in next with a sigh, half curling into a pillow. ugh, so comfy.

[attr="class","giada i"]huh, the name rings a slight bell. she keeps her nose as far away from science as possible, however, so the likelihood of her remembering much besides a name is slim. he provides enough insight for her to get some sort of understanding of the man behind the trevenant. "i see," she hums around a sip from the glass. "were you friends, then? or did you just like his names?" given the amount of details he gives, she's expecting some sort of connection.

ah, a worm. bit of a shame, he sounded nice enough. although getting involved with a league girl is messy. she definitely recognizes the name of Stormy Silph. who wouldn't? girl's a looker!

"i don't get that whole flopping sides business," she sighs. the skitties snuggle a little closer into her stomach and she's glancing up at abner. "pick a side and stick to it. it's not rocket science. guess the silph girl could make anyone turn, though." she licks her lips at the thought.

[attr="class","giada i"]god, food in general is amazing but this? killer. he makes quick work of his own plate before she's halfway through hers. her eyes drift up to watch him lean back, placing a hand on his stomach. a laugh follows with a grin.

"please don't explode," she murmurs. silence comes for a few more moments as she finishes her own plate. and then, she's understanding the sentiment because god, so much food in so little time. it was too good to not inhale, though. giada rises to collect the plates and leave them in the sink before returning to plop back into her chair. "too full, need a nap." she groans, tilting her head back onto the top of the chair. hello there, food coma.

[attr="class","giada i"]she told herself she wasn't going to laugh over the name until his gengar shows immediate displeasure over it. a grunt escapes the ghost and she's giggling. "please don't call her big teeth."

the skitties shift to curl on her stomach, tails swishing happily. and whenever they settle, she's quick to move her hands back into their fur. purrs follow like small vibrations but abner speaks over them and she's distracted by more information.

"why in his name?" was he important? or just a guy he knew with a cool ass name for his trevenant? her head tilts for a better look at the gengar. a hum escapes in consideration. "aslie's cute! sounds like a good show. dragons and free folk? hell yeah." realistically, she has no idea what show he's talking about but she's interested anyway. her eyes stray, however, to the abandoned glass of wine on the counter and while she's comfortable, she's also thirsty. the skitties are scooped up into her arms before her body is up and swinging off the couch to retrieve the glass and return.

[attr="class","giada i"]okay, so maybe the stick should've been used. all she managed to do was smack the nearest party goer in the face with the end of the whip. "oops," she giggles once and then twice and before she knows it, she's a bundle of laughter teetering in the sand.

at some point, she sways and slips but there's a hand to help her up. oh, right, he was talking to her too, huh? "first of all," she starts, taking his hand and hauling herself up in the least graceful way possible. "fuck that stick and fuck the watermelon too."

oooh, more drinks? sign her up. she's quick to agree with a bob of her head and the stranger gets no room to make another comment before she's happily dragging him back to the bar. along the way, she'll catch sight of marcel maeda and send some finger guns in his general direction. oh, there's Abner Armstrong too! more finger guns, hey boy!

"what's your poison?" she flops back into her chair and it dawns on her eventually that her cute little float was abandoned back in the sand. oh well, time for another. "actually, i don't care. whiskey or you get nothing."

there's only a brief clattering of plates against the counter before everything's set up. and thankfully, they're not all the way on the top shelf like that damn spice bottle. she only has to stretch a little to reach. once he shifts away to grab a bottle of water, she takes the opportunity to fix her own plate. naturally, there's more mac n cheese on it than anything else but it's fine, vessel for pasta and all right?

"we really did." he's definitely capable of it but her? wow, who knew. maybe he'll make a mini chef out of her. giada pauses to consider options for drinks before settling on water as well. of course, there was a small longing look sent toward the vodka but she'd like to not drink herself under the table during this nice dinner. later, maybe. "the barbeque looks amazing. god, i'm starving." as if to make her point, her stomach growls and she's actually flushing just a teeny tiny bit. she'll cover it with the turn of a heel to head toward the table.

[attr="class","giada i"]"she's special," she remarks with a smile. special, deserving of a nickname all her own. and while she tries to rack her brain for possible options, caramella curls further into her lap for more pets and snuggles. "so it's only fitting to give her a special name."

another laugh escapes as he hauls his gengar up onto his back. she looks content, as if pleased with being carried. and really, they might be trying to kill her because god, precious. must protect at all costs.

"makes sense," giada muses. "sometimes a nickname will just come to you, right? like caramella! she was a sweetie the moment i plucked her from the litter." sweet like caramel, hence the name but back to the topic. "maybe try out a few and see which one she likes? maul is cute, though, and kinda fitting. she ate lots of sweets earlier, which might've been my fault but it was bonding time, i couldn't say no. anyway, a cute name for a cutie." at some point while chattering away, she's laid both her and the skitties down along the top of the couch. her head turns to watch them further, as if expecting more cuteness from the pair.

"i'm sure you'll pick a good name, even if it's not clicking now."

except in moments like now, where she has to once again scramble to keep the skitty from getting herself into more trouble than she already has. lingering dangerously close to a lake is caramella, happily pawing at something in the water. upon closer inspection, it's a tentacool and oh god, claws are coming out.

"stop that," giada cuts in, scooping the cat right up into her arms to prevent the poor tentacool from having its head popped. do they even pop? huh... actually, that might not be too unpleasant to see? yikes, time to move along before she tries to find out.

[attr="class","giada i"]naturally, she's not even slightly ashamed of the squeak that escapes. no way, that's a fucking lion. giddy is an understatement. i mean, have you seen her around cats? basically reduced to a puddle on the floor.

"here, kitty kitty," she coos, abandoning abner's side to get closer. oh god, look at the mane on that bad boy! she's tempted to ignore claws and fangs and ferocity to run her fingers through it. damn, it looks so soft. baby cat follows momma cat like the tail of her catsuit until giada's sliding to a stop and the skitty's running into her ankles. the pyroar stares at them, tail flicking lazily.

her head whips around to grin at abner, unable to contain her excitement. "that's because it is! look at it!" the urge to snuggle it is rising and quickly. and while she'd more than likely be able to hold her own against this beast or another, would she really hurt such a pretty kitty? no, definitely not.

"sing," she murmurs. caramella bounces forward to let out a lullaby, the bigger cat slumping onto the ground moments later. and instead of throwing a pokeball from a distance, she's pouncing forward to touch the mane before ushering it into a pokeball.

[attr="class","giada i"]yikesyikesyikes! that definitely didn't go as planned. apparently she's getting rusty because what should've been a cake walk is now a hell of a workout for her legs. sirens echo in the distance and there's no bigger motivator to get her ass in gear than the damn cops.

"fucking hell," she grits out, barely managing to dart her way up and over a stray trash can. it topples as her foot leaves and she stumbles, pavement quickly rushing to meet her. damn, if that didn't hurt like a bitch. she has no time to check the status of her body, let alone her catsuit, before she's rolling and hauling herself back up.

they weren't that far behind her, not enough for her to slow down. and maybe that's what prompts her to take a detour and try to use the shadows to her advantage. which, turns out, is something that's about to make things worse. how could it get worse, you might ask?

well, for one... she's stepping right into emma's cross-hairs. reminiscent of their first meeting, perhaps, but just as bad. actually, scratch that. definitely worse than the first time. she stills and part of her considers which will get her first: an angry wolf or the cops?

at least she'd like the handcuffs, right?

[attr="class","giada i"]she wasn't going to rush the perfection that is the mac n cheese but the lack of pressure is almost comforting anyway. better to not be hounded for results unless someone wanted claw marks across their face. she'd be happy to do that anyway but that's beside the point.

"it does," she half sighs, half moans. and for a brief moment, she wiggles as if that'll magically make the pasta finish cooking any faster. it doesn't but it's the ritual that counts.

the timer buzzes and giada glances toward him with a request on her lips. "could you mix it while i try to find plates?" unless they were just gonna eat straight from the mixing bowl. actually, wouldn't be the first time she's done it but that was when she was in the comfort of her own kitchen, a bottle of wine deep and sprawled out on the counter in her underwear. yeah, just giada things i guess?

[attr="class","giada i"]if she wasn't sure she had a heart before, she's definitely sure now. he manages to tug at all of the strings like a puppet master just by clamoring his way onto the gengar's body. it's a funny sight, really. limbs sticking out at awkward angles and him wrapping himself around like a koala would a tree. cuuute!

whatever doubt had plagued her quickly evaporates as he begins explaining. from start to finish, she's absorbing every word. and maybe for the first time she stays quiet, simply listening to the sound of his voice. it dawns on her that she never even knew the reason why he'd been searching for one for so long until now. and while she simply snagged the cute ghost because she knew it'd make him happy, this is better than she had actually imagined. to think she'd be reuniting him with a pokemon he'd had and lost...

at some point while he's talking, she plops herself onto the top of the couch, legs idly swaying. both skitties crawl up and onto her, one settling onto her lap while the other climbs all the way up to curl around her shoulders. "you've been looking ever since?" that's a long time and she feels a little bit of sympathy. to search and search and never find what you're looking for after it's been stolen from beneath your nose must be painful. funny, coming from her, but the feeling is genuine.

"i know she might not be the same as your first one but," she pauses to smile a little wider, hands wandering to rub circles into a skitty's fur. "she's definitely perfect for you." plus, they're an adorable duo. the way he's inspecting each part of the gengar's body like a vet doing an exam is both amusing and precious. he's like a kid in a candy store good lord her heart.

and then he's turning to her with the essence of a proud father and she can't help but let out a laugh. "i dunno," her eyes drift to the gengar, head tilting with consideration. she flashes a similar smirk when the ghost directs that smile in her direction. "do you have, like, a theme for naming or something?" some people pick random names while others have a method to the selection. she, personally, prefers italian names but to each their own, right?
