[attr="class","giada i"]he's right. she's 100% the type to get aggressive over someone coming between her and cooking. which is surprising given how easily she burns everything. definitely not a cook but certainly the type to strive to maintain control over said burning of food. she's a master at the art of making mac and cheese, however. one of her favorite dishes and it's kind of hard to burn unless she forgets about the pasta boiling for hours. yeah... that hadn't turned out well the last time.

somewhere along the way, she's managed to make a small mess in the kitchen while humming over her pasta. feeling very much like a witch making potions, there's a rhythm to the way she moves. almost as if she's cooking to the beat of her own drum.

giada doesn't fully notice him come in, too absorbed in her task to shift that focus elsewhere. she does, however, notice the skitties when they slide up to her legs. a kiss is blown toward both kitties before she's turning, waving the large spoon in abner's direction. "fabulous," she laughs, then, and rotates back around to stir the boiling pasta once more. "it's almost done. another minute, maybe?"

[attr="class","giada i"]the skitties are living their best life, soaking up the snuggles while they can. not that they don't get any (they get too much) but squishing themselves into his sides happens to be their favorite past time.

giada leans over the top of the couch to peer down at him, an eyebrow raising as he flops over onto his back. there's an almost fond smile with the care he takes regarding the skitties. and yet, it disappears into pursed lips when he speaks next.

"shut up and open your eyes," her tone is still excited but slightly clipped as if she's growing impatient. the gengar lingers by her shoulder, peering over to stare down at abner with that shiteating grin they're known for.

[attr="class","giada i"]what do you mean this isn't an excuse for her to drink the locals under the table? the audacity?

she's on whatever round it happens to be (too many, really), barking out a particularly loud laugh and leaning into the bar. a few locals cluster around to watch as the blonde takes on whoever's willing in a drinking game. which one? who knows but she's having a blast.

"wait," she suddenly cuts off the man beside her, scrambling out of her seat. the skitty that had curled herself around giada's shoulders digs claws in to keep from falling off with the rapid movement. "the fuck is that? how do i join?" and off she goes, poppin' pachirisu float spilling on sand.

and that, my friends, is how the train wreck starts: drunk and disorderly giada trying to break a watermelon with her whip. fuck the stick, we do this in style.

[attr="class","giada i"]she's brightening halfway through his response. if they had the ingredients, she'll find them. anything for the mac n cheese. and i really do mean anything.

"noodles, milk, cheese, butter," she repeats if only to gather a makeshift list in her head. "anything else you want to add?" an eyebrow raises and her feet shift in the grass.

laughter escapes and she drifts closer for a moment. "definitely essential. i'll see what i can find, tiger." realistically, there's a lot she could probably find but she's taken the thief gloves off for today.

giada lingers to watch the exchange between abner and the skitties before disappearing to lurk through the kitchen once more. both cats mewl as if agreeing with him before rushing to rub against his ankles.

as if to further ignore the blonde, caramella happily nibbles on the sunkern she'd managed to catch. a sigh escapes giada before she's scrambling to pry the poor sunkern away from her skitty. damn thing.

the struggle doesn't last as long as it usually does when the cat gets into something she shouldn't but by the end of it, caramella's already bouncing off in a new direction and giada's pinching the bridge of her nose.

[attr="class","giada i"]that's one way to make an entrance. both giada and the gengar whip around to find abner already flopping onto the couch, face shoved into the pillows.

"you look like hell," she comments. the pitter patters of paws follow the sound of her voice and both skitties join him on the couch, happily curling on either side of him. greedy little monsters, those two.

she takes another sip of wine before abandoning the counter and the glass to drift over. the gengar follows with a snicker and she's raising a finger to her lips to silence it. "anyway, i got you something." it comes out too chipper for him to probably tolerate but oh well, he can deal.

[attr="class","giada i"]mmmm pasta. she doesn't bother to stifle the moan at the mention. "fuck, that sounds really good." pasta in general sounds amazing but chicken alfredo? yes please.

and then he sort of ruins it a little with whatever he managed to add to his mac and cheese. while she can get behind adding some toppings, hot dogs would be a hard pass. her nose scrunches at the thought but she'll ask about it anyway because it's a curious combo. "all that tasted good together?" her tone is disbelieving but she's more of a throw a shit ton of cheese on pasta and call it a day kinda girl so makes sense.

she's licking her lips, moving to climb off the table. "you think there's supplies for it here? i'd kill for some right now." definitely not a lie. this girl is serious about her mac and cheese.

[attr="class","giada i"]she's only half listening. focus shifts between him and his complaining and twirling a stick around for her skitty to play with.

"you're searching for one just to fit in?" a light tease, really, but damn if she didn't want one too. a hellhound would make a nice addition, even if she's more of a cat person.

giada flashes a smile toward him before abandoning the stick in the grass and shifting to take the lead. the pink kitty eagerly scoops up the stick in her mouth and trots along after momma cat. really, does she really need a dog with a cat like that? probably not but those horned dogs are too cute to pass up.

"picky," she quips, rotating to face him while wandering backwards. "i'm a sucker for those horns." the devil's tail, the whole skull on the chest, basically everything. aesthetically pleasing to say the least.

[attr="class","giada i"]with his sharpedo's help, she's scrambling out of the water without hesitation. it had been warmer the first time around when she was actually interested in swimming. now she just looks like a wet mop.

giada takes the opportunity to try to get what water she can out of her hair. twisting the mess and bending at the waist, she wrings it out like a towel. damn him, she had been actually feeling her hairstyle that day.

her eyes follow abner and his noctowl for a moment. it would've been longer if her skitty didn't suddenly yelp and scramble back from the water. apparently, she didn't like what she saw... the blonde shifts closer for a look herself and jumps at the face that shifts across the water's surface.

"fuck," she's hissing, much to the misdreavus' amusement. and perhaps that's what prompts her to use force instead of a melody. "play rough." the skitty recovers from the fright and bounces forward with surprisingly forceful paws and a playful mewl. giada doesn't bother to watch the pink cat bat around with the ghost. instead, she turns to slink away and tosses a ball over her shoulder. caramella will make sure the ball finds its way back when she's done. she does, however, pause to tilt her head at abner as she passes. "you coming or staying?"

[attr="class","giada i"]okay so she might've been a little too excited and all but text bombed abner to get his ass over but can you blame her?

pretty kitty has something up her sleeve and it's not just her usual tricks. nope, it's a gift and it's taking every ounce of self control she has to not let the cat out of the bag before he shows up.

"you know," she muses, pivoting from her spot on the kitchen counter to fully face the gengar beside her. "you're a cutie. i see why he wanted you so badly now." really, she's just been feeding it sweets while she finishes a bottle of wine but that's fine. they might be thick as thieves by the time he actually shows, not that she's complaining. the skitties are busying themselves with swatting at empty candy wrappers on the floor while she happily continues to chat the gengar's ear off over whatever topic she's interested in at the moment.

[attr="class","giada i"]everything literally descends into chaos the moment the smoke is noticed. people scream and scramble and damn, if she didn't want to do that very thing. while she's almost a pro at shoving herself into dangerous situations, this is outside of her realm of expertise. out of her control and that powerless feeling has her rooted in place.

the man seems to be unfazed, as if he expected this to happen. and maybe if she were paying enough attention, she would have noticed that he's the only one not whipped up into a panic. okay, she's chalking this up to a shitshow now and it's time to scram. his grip tightens on her and the scowl that twists its way onto her face isn't amused in the slightest. "you can let go now," she grits out. he barely has time to before a familiar body is blinking into existence between them.

zam. an audible sigh of relief escapes as she backs away with the new protection shielding her. she doesn't miss the way the man's pervy face dissolves into anger and it's definitely enough to make her stomach churn. louder alarms ring in her ears. not good, not good. a hand shifts to yank up the bottom of her dress, a garter belt holding pokeballs revealed beneath smooth fabric. she's quick to usher out her zoroark as if the extra layer of protection will be enough to quell that flare of anxiety.

giada's turning as he approaches, every nerve in her body screaming to just book it out of there. there's a falter in her footing, a stumble that almost sounds like a snapping heel beneath the pressure of danger. it catches her off guard, her body shifting until she's leaning against malizia for support. damn, those drinks had to hit now of all times? fucking hell. "i'm fine," she gets out and it's half a lie but it's fine. smoothing her hair back into place and somehow managing to stand up mostly straight, she's giving him a once over without hesitation. "are you okay? what the fuck is going on?" this wasn't part of the plan. a hand shifts to pat at the bust of her dress as if to confirm that the cards are, indeed, still stuck to her boobs. they are and there's definitely imprints of numbers. yikes. "i did."

a brief moment of recognizing morals has her glancing away to the frenzied crowd, to the patrons that scramble for an escape. do they just leave them to whatever fate waits them? ugh, that sounds terrible.

[attr="class","giada i"]she's languid in her movements, in the way she shifts to fake a stretch. if the woman's gonna lower her gaze then she'll have to give a show. "why only a little?" curious, unashamed with her head lolling to one side.

both her skitty and dewgong are living this moment of friendliness up. even the splash of water is appreciated, another excited mewl escaping the pink kitty. she moves to dart closer to the dragonair as if she's ready to play. except, she stills as the distance is closed by the dragon instead. caramella is more than happy to press closer for snuggles. well, she was until her new friend is ordered away to battle. if a cat could pout, the skitty definitely would be.

"of course," giada offers instantly. and maybe it's nothing more than a ploy but she's playing the role of innocent well enough to proceed further. "what isn't to enjoy?" the water, the sunshine, the pretty woman. yep, she's satisfied. and maybe if this were a sport she'd be winning. but lounging on a rock isn't a sport and unfortunately, there's no olympic sport for trying to charm company.

her skitty, meanwhile, takes the opportunity to usher a new member into their group. a roserade stares at the pink fluff ball as if she's the weirdest thing in the world. and while she's certainly a bit of an odd cat, there's something about caramella's energy that's infectious. it ends with the skitty claiming a spot right next to the roserade for some nice snuggles, the flower-handed pokemon unable to escape them unless it wants to disturb the content cat.
