rather than lead their way, mimi sits back and takes in her surroundings. metaphorically, of course. can't sit while jogging, after all. when the jangmo-o's attention is caught by something, she follows. when his interest is lost, she pulls him back to the roughly marked path. her feet join the many pairs that have been there in another time.

water droplets begin to pour down, mirroring her feelings, and she swears she can see the pain being washed away with the goodra's hydration.

turning on her heel, she's ready to walk back home, as home as a hotel room can be, when she notices a boyish silhouette in the distance. he's too far away to distinguish much but his existence, but she offers him a wave in greeting.

the beginnings of a thunderstorm roar in the distance, blinking in and out and accompanied by a chorus of lightning-forging hammers. the sight strikes mimi as nothing more than a summer afternoon's thunderstorm. an oddity only because of the place above which it appeared – somewhere along the mountain range, rather than at sea. if only she knew.

her feet lead her back to the beach house she's rented. if the woman had stayed at the beach, she'd have seen the litter of electric-type kittens being handed out. unfortunately, she missed out. not like she could claim one of her own anyway.
