LATE SEPTEMBER — as ultra wormholes are sighted in the seas of hoenn, the region begins to be tainted by poisons, the source of which is unknown. parts of hoenn's seas darken with toxic waste, like oil spills. for this reason, head scientist, lucas lane, has entrusted volunteers with a special antidote formula that he has helped create with elite four, thomas benoit's sludge sample.[break][break][break]

here, off the coast of slateport, several pokemon have become incredibly hostile, for they have affected by a spill of poison, left by some unknown source. attempt to clean up the poison, cure the pokemon with lucas lane's antidote, and defend against their attacks.[break][break][break]

the manectric tries to take the scent trail from the sailor as kyle tries to get to the mystery behind things, although they are abruptly interrupted by the appearance of a mega sharpedo. he clicks his tongue as he switches his attention from one objective to another.

"thunder," kyle mutters.

as soon as the electric-type hears the command, he quickly shifts to a more aggressive stance, facing the opposing water-type with a snarl. electricity cackles around his fur as sparks force the strands of fur to bristle.

a bolt of lightning strikes from the skies, frying the sharpedo to unconsciousness.

Despite seeing the death of a fellow Ranger in his last patrol Razz wouldn't allow himself to be shaken. Violence was something he was raised with and while death wasn't often it was enough that he needed to push past it. He signed up for this job to make up for the shit he's done in the past and if he was to stop because of one thing well he wouldn't be very good at his job in the first place. "I know it's a first but we're trying something new Cobalt," he told his Metagross as the Keystone on his belt began to glow and with a roar Megatross evolved further.[break][break]

When he first witness Mega Evolution in a cave he didn't think he'd ever use it himself and yet here he was now off the coast of Slateport City as the Mega Metagross used Ice Punch on the ground to freeze the infected pokemon in place to avoid bringing to much harm to them. Though they weren't the main goal of this as while Razz did use the antidote given to him on the pokemon Cobalt frozen in place the Steel Psychic pokemon charged a Hyper Beam to send at the large Mega Sharpedo off the coast in order to do what it can to prevent more casualties there.[break][break]
