He'd bought the baby books but he didn't read them. He'd captured pokémon nursery companions for the twins but hadn't finished building the nursery.

"I think I'm ready." The word 'think' was the only implication that he wasn't one hundred sure of what he was doing, but he planted his feet anyway and proverbially his back was to the wind. "A leader gets to have a few privileges over those they lead; second guessing themselves isn't one of them." -and what was the young father of a young family if not a leader?

Everything he'd managed to see without trying told him gravity and youth was still very much on her side.

"That's Detective Game," He would have liked to have settled into the waters of a hot-tub as he said that. "-and you're under primary investigation." Leaning his head back against the wall to neutralize the heat exhausting him would have to be the next best thing. "I figured it was high time for us to catch up."

A chinchou of all things found its way down into the quarry-hole.

Probably attracted to the scent of the wafting curry in the air. It didn't seem to want to play nice with the rock types weaponizing its water-move the way it did so fast. But being outnumbered as it was it was knocked out and captured with Terawr doing most of the work.

Figuratively, 'animalistically', his body marked the boundaries around her as off-limits to anyone but himself.

Primeape seemed to be eating something from Cait so he didn't care what the two of them were doing now.

That last part felt like the real fault in his preference.

He'd expected her to get up from his phrasing and leave him to hit his head on the hard earth.

Always the good sport he rewarded her humoring him with the best part; what was in it for her.

"I'll move in the cabin." He practically lived there now but all his mail, identification, assets and holdings said otherwise.

He didn't mention getting rid of apartment in Slateport because of course he wasn't doing that, but making his primary residence the place where his children lived and slept sounded like the right call.

Hot Damn. Cait wouldn't see it beyond his gameface but breastfeeding wasn't the answer he'd hoped for. "Science found a way to spare my mother the burden of my 'gnawing', as she put it." -and he turned out fine. He was waging a secret war on terror, using 'not-not-terror' as a weapon but everybody had their coping mechanisms.

Now he'd have to maneuver carefully to satisfy the needs of all parties, broaching the sensitive subject of a mother's preference to breastfeed her own offspring and why as a father, for the sake of the family he preferred the formula alternative.

Such a challenge in preference had to be presented and requested delicately and with a tender consideration.

"I'd like to retain exclusive oral rights to your chest." Nailed it.

Far be it from him to use more colorful language in front of Primeape.

"I'm willing to cut you a good deal on the inconvenience." His expression was smug; It was always fun getting into these negotiations with her.

Yeah if waiting in line served the same purpose as the actual reason for coming it made more sense to him to move the Sauna promotions to winter.

Or what excuse Hoenn had for winter.

Meanwhile despite her sheepish energy, the Head Ranger smiled at her like she'd saved the world and he was the only witness. His singular dimple showed itself on his right side. "Thanks for coming Saggy." He'd made it mere weeks before the old nickname naturally surfaced.

He didn't know the details but he knew she was going through it.

That was part of the reason why he'd asked her here. Aside from genuine need of quality time with someone he held dear.

Squinting his eyes harder he noticed the uniform and if nothing else, his posture. His back was straight, and he looked like he had somewhere to be.

A man on a mission.

Sussing out more information he offered some of his own. "This is Biggie Paws," he pitched a thumb to the Snorlax. "He's not part of the Sanctuary but he lives in the wood surrounding Fortree."

Noticing a piercing shine coming from the mobile device, or rather some unusual charm hanging off of it, Sénon furrowed his brows to drop his shades back in place, paying the charm and its irregular shine, no further mind.

With the sun starting to pass over, the Snorlax would be moving on shortly. "Since Biggie's here napping in the sun there must be people occupying his other couple of 'sunspots'."

He barely had time to finish before a force grabbed at his arm via an other-worldly pulling of his mysterious charm in the direction of the younger lad.

An encore performance of the poison trinity of SLUDGE, BELCH and GUNK SHOT took down the ghost/grass type to wander about.

A fire attack from the captured Delphox would have been faster, but it was knocked out and apparently, according to his DEXapp reading from the pokéball, it didn't know any fire type moves anyway.

With the results he'd gotten so far, it was safe to say the unown hunt wasn't yielding results he found satisfactory.

With no more incense he stood along the Jagged Pass, arms crossed.

The itching obsession that began with being given that device.

With kids on the way it felt wrong to be suddenly frivolous, but this felt like a circumstance in which being over-invested and wrong a lesser evil than letting opportunity go un-chased.

This mystery was a door, and he was the one who would knock.

He wasn't the lamb on this venture, although it was a hunger for answers, that hunger alone made him the wolf.

With what was left of the incense he didn't have much time left; decisions decisions.

When a Wynaut appeared Sénon's arm was twisted.

He could pass up 'cute and useful down the road', he couldn't pass up 'cute and useful down the road and right now'.

Picking up the little guy his half-disappointed smile was melted away by the unbridled beaming joy that came from the little baby pokémon in his hands.

"Yeah, we'll get the unown next week." Keeping this one felt like the right choice.
