A familiar looking face flashed across Gigi's screen. Huh. Where had she seen this man before- Oh, right! The HNN Article about an escaped convict or something. Well, shit. Did they have a reward for his capture? What the hell was his name again? "Isn't that Juul Collitart or something?" she questioned Thomas Benoit as she motioned for Captcha to slip into her phone once again. "Do you think he's got a bounty?" 

"Extra zoom, Captcha." The grainy scene was becoming clearer and something was off.. Was it the way the light hit or did that guy just turn blue? And wait- What the fuck? Was he making out with a Pokemon? Like sure it had the long legs everyone swooned over but uh.. pretty sure that was against the law. And, y'know, just morally and ethically wrong. 

Well, whether what she saw was real or fiction would have to be confirmed later: a swarm of pink and purple disproportioned hornets and alien babies with large heads emerged from the nearby woods. When given the opportunity by Thomas, she hopped off the Hydreigon. Her mind was still reeling from an otaku's fever dream as she released her Venusaur once again. 

The buzzing of the flying beetle hovering next to her temporarily snapped her from her thoughts. "Duracell, Captcha," she addressed the Vikavolt and Rotom. "Combo wombo - go!" An exasperated sigh forced its way out of her mouth when neither Pokemon moved. "Double Discharge on the swarm! Go, go, go!" 

Captcha was uneager to remove himself from the relatively safer location inside Gigi's phone but, nonetheless, he obeyed and hitched a ride on the waiting Vikavolt. "Be careful." Gigi murmured as she watched them fly off. Electricity sparked around their bodies as they began to combine their Pokemon, creating a large discharge of electric energy.

"Cover them. Disorientate the swarm." Venusaur nodded as she summoned another sweeping storm of petals. The petal dance sought the wreak havoc through the swarm: whether by sweeping some into its vortex, separating the flock, or simply disorientating them due to the amount of petals.

- Witnesses/streams the scene thanks to being airborne + super zoom, although not entirely sure wtf she just witnessed. Hoping her eyes are mistaking her. Viewers will probably help her figure it out. Maybe.

hnggg. rice balls. gigi purchased the delicacy. her poor wallet was growing empty, wondering where the heck its own food went. but ugh it didn’t matter if she spent a preposterous amount on food. it was all worth.

just as she was about to take her first bite, a yellow rodent — no, a yellow thief scurried up her leg and snatched the large rice ball from her hands. ”hey! you little—“ insert a vast amount of explicits here.

the little rodent was out of sight within seconds. gigi mourned her lost food. there was no way she could catch up to the speedy bugger. she sighed and shuffled back over to the stall. hopefully, she’d be able to get a taste this time.

”Fuck.” Although short, it was an appropriate word to describe the dire circumstances. The behemoth of a beast wailed in pain and frustration. Hurt turned into fury as the Guzzlord struck back, its appendage ruthlessly digging its grip into the neck of someone’s Gyarados. She cast a quick glance at her Porygon, the moment it was hit by the toxin and caused dangerous glitches was fresh in her mind. With Ethernet now stable, Gigi felt comfortable returning Ethernet to its Pokeball. 

Her embrace tightened on her phone as teeth ground together. Like hell she was just going to watch as the Gyarados writhed in pain. Complete strangers had banded together to save Porygon. There was no way she could turn a blind eye to another’s duress. Luckily, Thomas felt the same. 

”Duracell — fucking tear apart its remaining arm. Captcha, to with him and try to confuse the bastard..” Once Rotom was safely aboard the Vikavolt, the speedy bug wasted no time in flying to the aid of the Gyarados. His mandibles reached out for tentacle that greedily kept the large leviathan in its grip. Like the last time, he maneuvered into a position where x-scissor could be executed. Simultaneously, Captcha cast a confuse ray while en route. 

Hydreigon lowered their altitude which granted Gigi the opportunity to release Venusaur once more. The grass types plants looked more vibrant and her wounds now healed  thanks to the prior synthesis. ”Fill up its mouth with petals, or try to trip it up.” There was only a brief pause, the Venusaur adjusting to her new surroundings, before petals danced near the Guzzlord’s stomach and feet.

- Recalls Porygon now that she's sure it is in a stable condition.
- Releases Venusaur, who was healed up by Synthesis in prior round.
- Venusaur uses Petal Dance to aid with the clogging of Guzzlord's mouth and/or try to trip it up further into the water. 
- Vikavolt aids Thomas Benoit 's Scizor in severing the Guzzlord's remaining arm, using X-Scissor in unison with Scizor's Bug Bite
- Rotom (+1 eva) rides in on Vikavolt and uses Confuse Ray when buzzing passed the Guzzlord: hoping the confusion causes the Guzzlord to walk deeper into the water, therefore filling its mouth with water, or mess up its attack/assist in the attempt to cause its attack to backfire.

oh arceus. had she died and went to heaven? that was the only possible explanation for all of this scrumptious food. the former pro-gamer bounced from food stall to food stall, inhaling each delicacy as if she was an endless pit. currently, she was stuffing her face with dumplings. holy fuck were these good. not as good as the dumplings her family made as a child, but definitely up there: top three for sure.

her social media was currently filled with endless photos of all the delicious food she discovered. it was atypical for her but she had to give props where they were due. the hustle and bustle of the nightlife in the lower district introduced a pep to her step. now this, this was more her speed. unova was littered with big cities. the small towns of hoenn were a huge change of pace and scenery.

yeah, nature and stuff were nice... but it also got old very quickly. like, cool. pretty flowers and all that junk. however, nature was too quiet, too slow, too untouched. which, to be fair, was ideal to some. gigi wasn't about that, though. she was a city girl through and through. 

shoveling another dumpling into her mouth, she looked around at the bubbling life. hmm. where to next? dessert sounded good. dessert always sounded good.
