Freed from the clutches of the DRK Triad, the Timelord had made its way toward the center of Littleroot, loosing a ROAR OF TIME that wound back the clock of the small town's destruction. While the battle still wreaked untold havoc, the mighty Steel-type's efforts to turn back time rebuilt buildings, and most importantly, reverted the Pokémon that had been de-aged. The time rift surrounding Dialga drew Kiara out of her Poké Ball, bathed in the bright light of evolution.

"KIARA!!" Shalin shouted, running toward the lioness and giving her a great big hug. A purr of pure love rumbled through the girl. "You're okay!" The relaxing warmth soothed her wounds; while they were still bleeding, she felt very little pain while she was in contact with the fire-type's body.

That affection would be short-lived; when Dialga left, an unstable rift began exploding from the dimensional hole underneath Littleroot. "We have to leave, now!" Without the time to attach Kiara's gear, Shalin was forced to ride the lion bareback. She let out grunt after groan, holding on for dear life as the two fled the town at high speed. It made her appreciate just how necessary her feline's saddle was; the big cat's flexing back rocked the rider hard, Kiara also uncomfortable from her rider pulling on her fur whilst trying to maintain her balance.

The first thing she was doing was heading to Petalburg and getting a new saddle and bridle for the big cat. After all, gear could be replaced. Pokémon could not be replaced. No matter what others said. Another Pyroar would not be Kiara. There was simply no replacing her. Or any of her Pokémon, for that matter. She adored them all.

Every single one.


tl;dr:

- Dialga's ROAR OF TIME draws Shalin's Pyroar out of her Poké Ball and reverts her devolution.
- Shalin and her Pyroar have a heartwarming reunion.
- The two flee, Shalin realizing just how important it is for Kiara to wear a saddle.

atarka's strike hits true. dark energy swathes over the shackles and some of the unown flinch, sagging as they attempt to hold fast. freya leans into atark's side and the dragon veers away, making room for others to assail the beast's chains. she is at the ready, preparing another attack, when manages to break the bonds. 

the rest happens quickly. her attention tears back to the horizon, hungry eyes searching the sky for the serpentine dragon lord, but another of dialga's roars sends her spinning. atarka dives to the ground, claws flexing as she lands heavily in the grass. 

lyune's ball bursts open from her chest and freya watches, panicked at first, as the shelgon is swathed in white light. but then the familiar giant emerges, red wings fanning outward, blue scales gleaming. 

the adrenaline still burns through her veins. is nowhere to be seen. her breath comes in heavy rasps. the weight of what she'd done nearly suffocates her and, in a panic, she recalls lyune and urges atarka back into the sky. 

looking back, she casts one wayward glance towards the temporal beast before it disappears.

It works, bryan couldn't tell if it was his mega evolution or the z-move. So because he believes he's the main character it was because of the mega evolution. However he soon wished it didn't work just yet as now they were faced with these strange automaton Pokémon he didn't recognize. [break][break]

He follows zev's lead and attempts to capture the Pokémon, using an ultra ball in an attempt to see if it would even work. "Cover us! Hyper voice!" he shouts as he tries to man handle Priam and drag him back over to the primal crystal so that they could evacuate. "Babe we need to l-eAvE" he shouts. He didn't need to fight them to know that they were strong, Xerneas was stirring in his pokeball, possibly as a warning to go right at this very moment.

At this rate, there’s no further sign of , no matter how much he calls for him, or looks through the rubble and hazy fog that swirls through the space. Further down, the rift is bright, and full of impossible things. And in all honesty, Wren thinks he might be hallucinating at least half the things he sees, given the knock to his temple courtesy of the butt of ’s pistol.

No matter his state, he’s not inclined to give up feeling around through the dimly lit space, though at some point even Basil is too tired after only a partial healing. He slides off his back, but he can’t put any sort of weight on his foot and ankle without stabbing pain that is both dizzying and nauseating.

If he could just look for a little bit longer—

Just get outta there?

He frowns as he looks back up toward the top, where the light still shines in. He doesn’t know the man yelling down to him, and really, he didn’t even realize someone had seen him go back in. “But!” He starts to protest as the earth begins to crumble again, and he has to grit down on the fresh wave of pain rolling up his leg.

He doesn’t want to leave. He feels like he can’t. What if he’s abandoning his best friend?

The man is right, though. He’d be no good to Levy dead. As another gogoat angles its way down the steep wall, Basil takes the opportunity to lead the way back up. Wren swings himself back onto the new gogoat, wincing in pain, but allows it to take him back up, out of the pit.

Once he’s out, he casts a wary eye on the green-haired man. And then it quickly fades into appreciative relief, even if he feels like there’s a part of him inside that’s crumbling to pieces. He doesn’t recognize him from any league-affiliate meetings or ranger debriefings, so he must be a Rocket. Or so Wren assumes. It doesn’t matter, it only affirms to him that there are others on either side capable of compassionate gestures. He offers a hand— “Thanks, I-” he hesitates, “Wren. Just…thanks.” He should probably go, he’s pretty sure he’s on the verge of passing out. Still, he looks back over his shoulder at the sinkhole.

And hopes he doesn’t regret leaving.

[attr="class","textarea"] the GIGA DRAIN wraps around the ultra beast's sword as it swings with jayden's conviction towards the chain. with the power of rocket and the league both, the trainers are all able to push back the threat that CHEF QUANTO and his DRK triad present. a burst of light detonates before them all, and all is left in the smoke is an unchained dialga, and a missing triad member.

[break][break] the moment lasts for a moment as the air around them stills before the ROAR OF TIME peals through the surrounding area and the rocket admin is thrown back, once again, from the burst. he winces as the scream tears through him, down right to his bones, and he only barely spots the legendary pokemon disappearing into one of the rifts of time, vanishing as quickly as it had appeared.

[break][break] he pushes himself to his feet, returning his pokemon, just as the energy pulses from the town's core. he knows that there will be another time to investigate it — and he hopes dearly that those lost in it's midst will find their way's out as well — but with one quick glance at his companions, , and , jayden knows that they must depart before a worse blight befalls them.

[break][break] "let's go," he says, in agreeance with the rocket beast as he waits for the other admins to gather nearby.

[break][break] the wounds from dialga's diamond hooves would pay him back later. for now, there were bigger things to be concerned over.

through all of their efforts, the chain broke, but it wasn’t over. he braced as the god of time prepared another roar, but this one didn’t have the same effects. there was no damage, except to scrape away the destruction from their timestream, from the town which had been ravaged by war.

as repairs washed across the land, voices came in over comms, announcing hoenn’s victory over the apocalypse. all the emotion of battle gave way to a moment of pure joy that they were going to live. of course, he hadn’t had any doubts. though tired, he grinned, adrenaline pulling a laugh from his chest.

people began to clear out, he returned his tyranitar, and released his aerodactyl. he had to find and roman, and see his brother—the one who hadn’t helped almost end the region.

The Dragon of time departed after offering its gratitude— mercifully undoing the mess its roars had caused before.

Doug grinned back at the dragon despite his grimace, flinching as he waved. He was going to be having growing pains for weeks. Again.

Wheeze.

"Yeah, laugh it up, whatever." Grumbled the youth as his matron rolled on the grass, laughing it up the whole time while he uncomfortably rolled his shoulders, rubbing his traps with a groan. "Why only me...? Urgh, whatever."

He released his shoulders, pressing a digit to his comms as he cleared his throat.

"All units, report!" He called over the comms. "If ya have or are injured, relay yer location! I'm on m'way!"

As he turned to seek out injured allies in this aftermath, he paused, before turning towards Tapu Koko and Tapu Bulu.

He scratched at his cheeks briefly.

"Thank ya. We wouldn't have made it through today without yer help." He said softly, nodding at the two— before a familiar suddenly settled onto his shoulders as Lele barreled into his back, wounding her arms around his shoulders before waving at her siblings.

He snorted.

"Alright, alright... Thank ya too, Lele. Really came through when I needed ya to." He said with a tentative grin.

Tapu Lele merely reached over to pet him in the head, humming. There, there. Not so hard, was it?

Doug's eyebrow twitched.

Why, you condescending little...

Bzzzt!

"Oop!" Doug uttered as he reached for his comms, brow furrowing as he listened to the words. He turned his gaze to Tapu Koko and Tapu Bulu. "Duty calls— Looks like Lele and I will be a lil' busy."

He turned to leave, waving at the two Tapus.

"But I hope we can work together again! This was the first time Lele's ever played nice— usually she's a crap team player!" He received a bop on the head from the pink deity as he walked, prompting a huff. "Ack— It's true though!"
