Perhaps his rising temper has made him more expressive and his tendency to gloat carries on over into his actions. He doesn't dismiss the idea but for it to be so strange for her to call out — he doesn't see it from the same perspective and places the abnormality onto Isra herself.

"Tch. Being me, for one." He answers for her because the only thing better than being in his presence is being him. His ego is unchecked but Fernando doesn't believe his statement. That doesn't mean he won't rub it in her face and air it as per usual. At least among those used to him, he feels at more home with taunting and teasing, even if he does so antagonistically.

"Didn't anyone ever teach you that pointing is rude fernando?" at least that was what she had been taught growing up and it was obviously something she took at least a mild offense to because of it. Otherwise though, she seems unbothered by him, nothing abnormal as she's become used to the man more than she thinks she likes some times.

The look she gives him is neither here nor there. "And for two?" she humors him, or perhaps looks to set a trap and see if there even is a part two to this statement. Not that she thinks there won't be, Fernando's not the type to give her that sort of victory, not really anyway.

While his comment is true in regards to his own ideology, finger pointing itself seems such a minor thing that he finds no reason to care about Isra's perception. He notes it nonetheless, considering how others may perceive him but for Isra — that doesn't matter.

"Being under me." He crosses his arms before clicking his tongue, mindful of the time they've spent bantering and how far he's been detracted off topic. "I wasn't kidding when I said this was a dream job."

"Oh. That must be why I find it so easy to disregard yours then!" she sounds almost pleased in the realization. Though mostly a jest, playing along with his comment in her own form of taunting him by refusing to allow him to get the best of her there was a hint of truth in it. Despite the obvious authority he technically had over her Isra obeyed the concept loosely and had no qualms with defying it where she felt the need to. Or could get away with. Whether directly or indirectly.

Isra finds herself a little peckish and begins to rummage around the desk for something to snack on while they talk. "I still don't agree on your definition of dream job though, this is definitely not mine."

Why would anyone want to be stuck in the same for walls 5 days a week like this?

Fernando answers with a little less snide than he should've had but now they're coming full circle, each continuing the loop to get in the last word. Fernando's stubborn enough to carry out on it until the bitter end but without a way to insult or bring her down, there's little amusement in circlejerking.

He knows he'll regret asking since Isra will reply with a stupid or far off answer but he does so anyway.

"Or maybe everyone else's doesn't and mine should because I do differ." she almost offers though she knows his response will likely be some form of a snort and retort about it being bullshit or some such thing like that but it's how their tit for tats boil down, their back and forth comments have never been anything less.

Isra has to stop when he inquires something of her though, actually having to think for a moment. "I'm not sure actually, but definitely something more active I'm a bit tired of being in this box so much."

The woman was in no way made for office work, despite how well she performs at it.

Fernando leaves it at that and doesn't entertain the thought further, knowing well ahead of tiem he could ramble for hours about how Isra's strangeness means little to influence the region. Power comes from influence and Fernando contends himself as the best of them, head held high with the sway he's mastered since adulthood. CEO and now politician — his opinion matters, more so than all else except for a few outstanding individuals.

"So this is your dream job," Fernando muses, disregarding her response entirely. "It's hard to find an answer when something like this fits you so well. What a privilege."

"And?" since when has Isra been a part of society? Sure on a technical level but Isra had never really considered herself a part of the populace at large and it put a gap in their conversation piece. They would never see eye to eye when they were looking from two very different levels of the castle.

Without hesitation she picks up a rubber band and slips it on her thumb. With surprising speed and aim the woman pulls it back and sling shots it right for Fernando's chest. "Now you're just being a jerk on purpose."

She starts looking for another one, just in case.

He leads her with each statement but he won't be surprised if the allusion goes over her head. He also expects her to disagree with it vehemently on principle but that means little to him. Their differences are well acquainted by now.

The rubber band hits him square on the chest and he ignores it. At this point she's just being childish and Fernando has no intention on entertaining any further on such immature whims. "You should be thankful considering your privilege." He turns away, looking back at his computer before sighing.

"Tch. I've wasted enough time regardless. I still have a monster to slay."

"To you." she finalizes, something she's well aware of but it only pushes her to defy him more than she already does. They're little tit for tat has almost become too familiar and more often than not Isra finds herself following the same circle as ever with him. It is familiar in a way others might get comfortable with, that perhaps even his is now comfortable with but to her is is like pacing a circle in a cage.

Eyes roll and she returns to rummaging through the desk for wherever her snacks have gone off to this time. Though she always returns them to the same place she gets the feeling her banette has been moving them when she is not looking, sensing her need for a breaks in the routine and giving it to her where he can.

"There are always monsters that need slaying Fernando, it doesn't hurt to waste a little time sometimes."

She makes no move to stop him of course, because she's already completed her goal here anyway. He's not nearly as riled as he was when he first entered the office and the night can return to the same serenity it has always offered her.

Fernando doesn't argue his point further. There's no point. The threat of the Ultra Beast prove too damning for him to ignore and no one living can convince him otherwise. Not even persephone amavi. His need to conquer the unknown and reign above all, if only in theory, is what drives him for a better tomorrow. It keeps him sane and brings order to his anal sense of logic and reason in a world filled with magic and wonder.

With his demeanor adjusted — shifted, more likely — Fernando departs, eyes narrowed as he tries to come up with another solution to a problem without an end.
