As Josh dipped his feet into the water above his floating Kingdra, Keiga, his hair stood on end. While it was not unbearable by any stretch, the water was a little chilly to be going for a swim. He wondered if it might be a good idea to close his Gym's aquatic challenge during the cooler months, particularly with Kyurem influencing the tropical region's weather and making the winters more like southern Johto's.

Even so, he promised Nereus Onassis that he would show more of his water Pokémon to him, particularly Keiga, a Kingdra big enough for a single person to ride. The tip of her saddle crested the water's surface, staying upright using just her long and powerful tail. Several other of his water Pokémon were around, but Josh was aware it was the Kingdra that the older man would primarily be interested in.

Soon after, the Gym Leader received a text from his scheduler that Nereus was on his way to the Racing Grounds on the rear of the property. Phew, that was a close one - he had forgotten to take his cell phone out of his pocket! Had he gone for a swim before removing it, that would not have been very good. He replied to the scheduler with a simple Send them through.
