Remiel's Garganacl tanks the DISCHARGE that washes over it, then advances toward the SANDY SHOCKS with a strangely intimidating noise. Before it can hope to strike the PARADOX POKEMON with a DRAGON HAMMER, however, Mochi the Wyrdeer intervenes. Its attack manages to cast the strange being backward and down a nearby hill.[break][break]

Needless to say, this gives the drilling rig more than enough time to finish its survey without being destroyed first. "We got it!" Remiel cheers, closing out the interface before rejoining his comrade. "We should have enough time to pack up the drilling rig and take it back as well. Well done, Ollie." He smiles, offering a high-five.[break][break]

Traumatized by his recent POISON PATROLS, Remiel resists the GRAVITY to look around. "Mochi?! Where?!" But, instead, soon comes to realize that is the name of the WYRDEER that Ollie has summoned.[break][break]

When it lifts the SANDY SHOCKS into the air with its PSYCHIC power, RAPHAIM is sure to slam it back down with his own control over GRAVITY. The combo renders the PARADOX POKEMON immobile for the time being as it struggles to break free. Ollie and Remiel, in the meantime, feel far less heavy than they did seconds ago.[break][break]

Rushing to check the interface panel on the drilling rig, Remiel nods. "The geological survey is at 75%! Just a bit longer!" He communicates, turning back to the SANDY SHOCKS when, against all odds, it rises from the ground with a crackling DISCHARGE.[break][break]

Before the SLUDGE BOMB can drench Remiel, however, the crown prince TELEPORTS. In response to the attack, his Palossand emerges from the SAND TOMB with an explosive EARTH POWER, striking the Weezing down from the sky. The attack proves super-effective and the chimera collapses with an ugly moan.[break][break]

Only then does it begin to charge to an EXPLOSION.[break][break]

Casting a quick look in the direction of the prisoner camp, Remiel is relieved to see Elise has successfully managed to rescue their comrades and lead them away. With that out of the way, he focuses on sending his Palossand forward to capture as many TEAM ROCKET grunts as it can within the grip of its sand wave.[break][break]

And, just before the Weezing EXPLODES, his Palossand SHORES UP to form some cover for Remiel and his newly acquired prisoners.[break][break]

A wild SANDY SHOCKS wriggles itself from the ground nearby, seemingly disturbed by the activity the two rangers have just commenced. Once it's freed, each of its eyes acts independently of the other, assessing all of its targets as it spreads an ELECTRIC TERRAIN beneath its feet. Then, with a strange call, it attempts to pin everyone down with increased GRAVITY.[break][break]

Casting a look at CALYREX, Remiel nods. "Keep each other safe. If ROCKET catches sight of the High King here, they'll no doubt attempt to apprehend him." And, with that, the crown prince descends the ridge with his pile of living black sand in tow.[break][break]

"Call for reinforcements!" One of the TEAM ROCKET grunts urges the other, watching helplessly as his Growlithe is captured within the grasp of a swirling SAND TOMB. A worried WEEZING attempts to float over the yapping pup and offer its help, but it doesn't have any arms or hands. "It's the traitor Calcifet!"[break][break]

As the other grunt attempts to turn around and make a mad dash for their communications tent, Remiel is quick to spawn a LIGHTNING BOLT in his hands and cast it. It strikes, knocking the man unconscious before he can say he'd spotted Elise Calcifet freeing the prisoners. The Weezing, in the meantime, has given up on trying to rescue the Growlithe and instead casts a SLUDGE BOMB in Remiel's direction.[break][break]

The wild FROAKIE executes a QUICK ATTACK, striking at his Hisuian Goodra after it leaps out from the rainy fog. It only manages to strike the dragon's steel shell, however. It hisses in pain after landing on the ground, clutching at the foot that had cast its kick.[break][break]

Not one to waste an opportunity, the Hisuian Goodra strikes with a fiery DRAGON BREATH. In the wake of those blue flames, both it and its master find the Froakie PARALYZED. Pulling out a Luxury Ball and capturing is easy enough afterward.[break][break]

Behind him, in the depths of the cave he had just sealed, there's a noise. A hollow and bone-quaking groan reverberates throughout the very terrain as Remiel swerves his Aerodactyl around to face the cave-in. Their ruckus, it seemed, had attracted something to their location.[break][break]

From the resulting cloud of dust that hung over the area afterward, the reason for this sudden happenstance would soon come lumbering out, slowly swerving its gaze to and fro.[break][break]

Remiel watches as a small squadron of GENESECT come to Lulu's rescue, and his first instinct is to form a LIGHTNING BOLT in his hands. Despite her ascendance, he's got a clear line of sight to her. All he has to do is aim and throw.[break][break]

But then their eyes meet, and he hesitates.

The royal can't himself explain it. But, ultimately, the lightning bolt goes flying toward the Genesect that has his Lycanroc cornered instead. BULKED UP after withstanding the Gouging Fire's strike, Adal breaks past said Genesect with an ACCELEROCK and then charges at the ancient lion with breakneck speed.[break][break]

Before it can attempt a BURNING BULWARK to counter, the Gouging Fire is struck backward, casting up a blinding cloud of ash after it stumbles. Then a sharp whistle echoes throughout the charred forest. "That's it! Time to go!" Remiel shouts, recalling his Lycanroc before narrowly TELEPORTING away from a RAGING FURY that follows.[break][break]

TOTAL OF ROLLS MADE BY ALL WRITERS REACHES 666. - A rift to the DISTORTION WORLD opens briefly, like an opening eye. Peering into it fills your characters with dread. You can not enter this rift, but one may theorize the DISTORTION WORLD is attempting to map out this new area in order to create an antimaterial counterpart for the world.

He reemerges on the other side of the forest, where the leaves remain green and the ground unspoiled by ash. The only oddity here is a RIFT that tears open just ahead of him. The DISTORTION WORLD lies on the other side of it, filling him with more and more dread every second that he peers at it. Just as soon as it had opened, however, the rift suddenly closed.[break][break]

Damkina makes a dash for it with Remiel upon her back, casting a series of STONE EDGE to shield them from the blast of PIN MISSILE. When the Iron Thorn looming above catches wind of her trajectory, however, they adjust their aim. Thankfully, Elise's GENGAR is there to PROTECT them from the blast they would have otherwise run straight into.[break][break]

Though keeping Elise Calcifet was his priority, however, the crown prince was not in the habit of leaving allies behind either. The FLAMETHROWER that ignites that sky briefly takes him back to a time when he had. His father had paid the price for his cowardice all those years ago, reduced to ash in the darkness of that DYNAMAX DEN.[break][break]

But the same fate would not befall Josh Devlin today.

The loud thud and the BUG BUZZ that follows is all the alarm the two Dragon-type specialists need to ready themselves for another attack. At the sight of a familiar disguise, however, the royal's glare slightly softens. It had been some time since he'd contacted oscar clayton aboveground. Unfortunately, this meant he would once more be forced to juggle between holding back and granting TEAM ROCKET the defeat they deserved. "ELECTRIC TERRAIN." "It's you and me again, Freya," The royal remarks, keeping his eyes fixed on the first TEAM ROCKET member to grace their presence. "And this looks like the same misguided pest we lost in the dust cloud some time ago. Come to meet your bitter ends here, have we, gentlemen?"[break][break]
