Watching a SHIELDON graze the fields of the Safari Zone is fascinating. Remiel can't help but observe it for a while as it does so. If he forgets everything else, it's almost like looking through a window into the past.[break][break]

However, when it catches sight of his Lucario, the little dinosaur puffs up with a big SWAGGER. It charges in for a HEADBUTT afterward, meeting a BONE RUSH instead of victory. Afterward, Remiel captures it within the confines of a Luxury Ball.[break][break]

It was clear that ever blackwell held a strong sense of justice for Pokémon. Here was a man who held no misgivings or sympathies for TEAM ROCKET. They'd seen first-hand the kind of misery the organization brought about.[break][break]

Despite wanting to engage in further conversation about TEAM ROCKET, however, it was too soon to tell whether the man could take a part in championing its eradication. It's a three-way connection. A game of telephone with gods of righteous fury. Though, if anyone were to take part in it, the one known to the DRK TRIAD as 'the EXACTING' would be it. And, as far as Remiel can tell, his ZEKROM transmits the information it gathers seamlessly to him. A stream of images and understandings that almost fooled him into thinking he'd known it all along.[break][break]

The DRK TRIAD had sent the ULTRA PLANT ZEKROM here to keep the MEGALOPOLANS from building a city. The ULTRA PLANT ZEKROM was not, in fact, from the ULTRA PLANT realm at all. It was as alien here as they were, though this one had a clearer mission in mind: to keep anyone or anything from settling here permanently. To purge it completely.[break][break]

Suddenly the communication ends.

A bright blue FUSION BOLT collides with a vibrant green SPIKY SHIELD, two orbs of pulsating energy melding with each other at the point of contact. After rolling up his sleeve to reveal a TERA ORB bracelet, Remiel lifts a hand to his ear to activate his comms. Despite the scratchiness of the transmission, his voice manages to reach Josh Devlin below.[break][break]

"It's time to go, Josh! Make haste for the portal!"

Just then, a bright pinkish-white light pierces through the haze. Remiel's ZEKROM has TERASTALLIZED into the FAIRY-TYPE, just in time to withstand a BREAKING SWIPE from the opposing BLACK YIN before it darts past it.[break][break]

A NOBLE ROAR fills the realm, summoning a surge of lightning strikes throughout the realm of the ULTRA PLANT. Then, before long, its ZEKROM gives terrifying chase.[break][break]

"What happened last night... was a mistake," He eventually responds, hesitantly looking back up at her. "It was wrong of me to take advantage of our friendship like that. Especially considering your current situation." He adds.[break][break]

With a sigh, he reaches for his tablecloth and pats the corner of his lips clean. "Everyone I get close with eventually gets hurt, Diana. It was wrong of me to shelter you in the first place."[break][break]

A wild SEEDOT manages to SUCKER PUNCH Nike with a headbutt. The Lucario, however, withstands this blow. With a sharp glare, she raises her paw, spawns a bone in her grasp, and beats the Grass-type down with a BONE RUSH.[break][break]

Eventually, the Seedot gets whacked so hard that it goes flying upward into the branches. It doesn't come back down again, however. Remiel and Nike just assume it got stuck up there and move on.[break][break]

The MIMIKYU catches Nike off guard with its darling BABY-DOLL EYES. This proves to be a good test of the Lucario's willpower. For a second there, Remiel even begins to think she will lose.[break][break]

Before the living doll can SHADOW CLAW her, however, Nike strikes first with a WATER PULSE. The Mimikyu is cast backward into a tree with a violent splash of water. When it staggers back up, its neck appears broken and it seems CONFUSED.[break][break]

Catching it within the confines of a Luxury Ball is easy enough afterward.[break][break]

With a great pull, the two free the RUSTED SWORD from the stone. "Choosing between the SWORD and the SHIELD is a constant facet of life," Remiel responds, stepping back and prompting Desiree to do the same as the stone crumbles in front of them. "Actions and reactions. Picking one over the other can make a world of difference."[break][break]

In the wake of the stone's crumbling, they soon find themselves face-to-face with none other than ZACIAN. The crown prince reaches out to gently pet the side of the canine's snout, then turns back to Desiree with a smile. "I think our friend here has chosen the blade, too. We should hand it over." He adds, reaching out to take the sword from her.[break][break]

And, once ZACIAN grabs the hilt with its teeth, the two witness a marvelous transformation. When beckoned to join it, Remiel summons a CHARIZARD to the fray and swiftly mounts it.[break][break]

"We must fight, Desiree! Let's go!"

And, as ZACIAN delivers a powerful MOONBLAST, TURANDOT soars upward to attempt to drown ETERNATUS in a raging INFERNO.[break][break]

Something stirs in the dark. The terrible sense of foreboding doesn't leave. It infects the ancient hallway they reside in even further. Every sense at his disposal screams at Remiel to leave unlike anything else before. And, before long, he finds himself scrambling to run away.[break][break]

"O-Ollie! Let's go!"

He urges his companion as their footsteps echo throughout. The next hallway they find themselves in, however, doesn't seem to have an end. In fact, it seems to grow longer with each step they take, until eventually there is no end in sight.[break][break]

Despite the adrenaline rush, Remiel manages to decipher the symbols on the wall as they run past it. The more there is, the less you see.
It repeats on and on. He can't make any sense of it right now.[break][break]

Eventually, however, the ground crumbles beneath their feet and they fall into the darkness below. A mercy, as far as the archaeologist is concerned.[break][break]
