“I like your confidence. Venti it is.” Angelo is conflicted over whether to let his lips pull into a languid, satisfied smirk that Stormy had picked the biggest option or cry because of the price tag. He does both – although the pain remains stubbornly internal as he pulls out his wallet.

They step up to the counter and he pays for their order, a small coffee for him while Stormy’s dwarfs it in comparison when it arrives. Angelo teasingly raises a brow as he hands it over to her, as if asking if she was sure she’d be able to handle it.

“You weren't in a rush to get anywhere, were you?” He asks her as they stand at the counter where you pick up the drinks, Angelo ignoring the packets of sugar and tiny cartons of milk that was there for customers to spice up their beverages to their particular tastes. “Want to drink this here? It would be a bitch to see your second cup get knocked over by some blind cyclist - they really need to look where they're going, you know.” It wouldn't hurt to take a little bit of time out of his day to drink coffee with an attractive young woman, after all. Perhaps it would sweeten the ache of seeing his wallet thin.

Stormy's eyes widen in surprise - had he taken her seriously? There was no way she was capable of drinking an entire venti-sized drink. But he was already ordering it and handing it to her before she was able to respond. [break][break]

The warmth of the cup in her hands is relaxing, but she is, quite honestly, already looking at a way to make her exit. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy his company, it was because she did. He catches her mid-thought, and she hums back up to him, blinking away her distracted thought.[break][break]

"Me? Not in a rush, I suppose, but I shouldn't hold onto you for too long. Might give you the wrong idea."[break][break]

She smiles, a little flirty, though it doesn't quite reach her eyes. He's asking her to stay a little while longer and drink it with her, and she finds it incredibly hard to say no - so she doesn't.[break][break]

"They really do, don't they? Just running over random women in the street who're minding their business.. the audacity."[break][break]

They make it to a nearby table set up for just two, and she sits across from him, relaxing back in her chair. She's smiling.[break][break]

"So... you're a delivery-boy, then? That's fun."[break][break]

She takes a sip of her drink, the hot chocolate far too hot to drink - but she does so without even blinking. It leaves a chocolate moustache across the top of her lip, and she licks it away slowly.[break][break]

There’s a grin pulling slyly at the corner of his mouth at their banter, both of them relenting to join the other for a drink.

“I’ve always thought that they need to set up bicycle licenses – only let the responsible own one.” Angelo grins then, as if sharing in a joke that only they were privy to. Responsible Angelo. Those words used to pair together so well; he hopes that they remain a little shaken at the foundation. Maybe he likes being a little bit audacious. “Cyclists like that are a menace on the community.”

He watches as she runs her tongue over her lip then, slowly licking away the chocolate. It doesn’t click that she’s drinking it piping hot – he’s a little too distracted for logistics.

“It is – not for the job itself, though.” He admits, pulling his blue gaze away from Stormy’s mouth but feeling his own quirk up in response, in parts from the sight he had just witnessed and in parts from enjoying the company. “I like the travelling. Going from town to town. I mean, I know it’s only around Hoenn but you never know what you’re going to find, out here…” He pops off the lid of his takeaway coffee and breathes away the steam that furls into the air; pursed lips blowing on the surface of the aromatic liquid. It smells good.

“What about you? Whatever it is that you do any fun?” He takes a sip, still just a little too hot.

She scowls, but her expression is far from malicious. In fact, it is quite playful in the curve of her lips and the twinkle of mischief in her eye. There is something about this man that has garnered her full attention, and it very well might be the aloofness in his smile.[break][break]

"Responsible ones, huh? Interesting."[break][break]

And she makes a point to look him up and down with raised eyebrows, as if asking him how on earth they would have dubbed him responsible. Her tongue finishes its slow swipe, and she is more than a little bit aware of the way Angelo's eyes lingered on her lips. She smiles, perhaps encouraging his distraction, if only because it is amusing.[break][break]

"I have found Hoenn to be an incredibly beautiful and satisfying place to live, I'm enjoying myself thoroughly."[break][break]

She smirks.[break][break]

"I travel a lot too, but I'm not exactly delivering parcels, more like public speeches or my picture on screens. It can be fun, sometimes, but I definitely enjoy the meeting people and restaurant surfing and the like as opposed to the nitty-gritty business."[break][break]
