Why couldn't he just say no when asked about returning? It would have been simple, 'no this was literal hell on the nerves I refuse to do it again,' it was that simple. But no! The ranger for the whole first round found himself unable to talk and just gave a nervous thumbs up when asked about coming back. At least this time he managed to come back in nicer clothes, they were casual and still didn't fit the theme of 'Beauty" but it what he could afford he didn't get paid again until later. [break][break]

Though Sunny was excited as they thought of a few more things for this starting off the round with PROTECT, the shield going up a shinning blue to contrast her wings before breaking it from the inside to watch as it's fragments sparkle down.

Gavin takes the second round only slightly more seriously than the first; though competitive, he's not here for the accolades. His Ninetales is a proud creature who no doubt wishes to take the stage by storm but Gavin's nowhere near experienced enough to do him any justice.[break][break]

They switch up their strategy in the second round. SNOW WARNING still activates, and Ninetales' SNOW CLOAK is as spectacular as before, but the fox follows up with an AURORA VEIL to conceal itself even further. Obscured by a curtain of frost, the Ninetales lets out a haunting howl. Gavin takes his bow as the snow fades, and makes a mental note to bring a thicker jacket for round three. It feels as though he'll be defrosting for weeks.

how embarrassing. to attend another contest? her manager had really been putting her to work. was coordinating some sort of dying career? was her appearance some potential key that would revive this profession? either way, she felt really embarrassed to have taken the place of an actual participant who has been looking to get into contests. the slots were nearly hard to fill these days as is.

entering the stage, she'd greet the roaring crowd. with a simple command, she'd order the milotic to perform, "recover!" the water-type glowed beautifully.

The Comfey slides off his arm effortlessly.

“Execute.”

And upon command the Pokemon follows up with their practiced routine. Numerous GRASS KNOTS peek through the floorboards of the stage until they reach knee level. The following PETAL DANCE slices them to bits and launches them into the air. It’s nothing too impressive but Fernando’s experimenting. The petals continue to fall as well, mincing along with the small sprouts.

The ranger clapped at Sunny's performance as it went as planned. Already he felt like they were doing better than the previous time they were here, especially now that he understood that this would require routine, and Razz was determine to at least try to beat one of the three. The Silph siblings he probably didn't stand a chance against, but maybe against the man Gavin at least?

He could only hope as again he whistled as Sunny used STRING SHOT, but rather than shooting a target she shot them out to use as ribbons like a dancer. Before using STUN SPORE to dance through the powder and let her wings sparkle as she danced with the string.

Ninetales pads delicately onto the stage, its paws leaving prints among fallen spores and petals cast down from its opponents.[break][break]

Earlier in the round, the Songbird had called upon her Pokemon to perform a soothing move. Gavin looks to capitalize on such a strategy while it's still on the mind of the crowd. HEAL BELL causes a gentle melody that sings in time with the movement of the Pokemon's tails, as if Ninetails were conducting an orchestra with them.[break][break]

He finishes with a leap across the stage, tails jingling as if in farewell.

For his own performance, his Comfey reverts to PLAY ROUGH. It wriggles in a cutesy pantomime of play fighting with someone else. In practice, the attack is anything but cute, but without an opponent, watching the Comfey double over itself has a certain appeal. And, as if to make up for the rough housing, it releases a DRAINING KISS to make amends.

Okay last sprout, it was time to make it count. Or at least attempt to, he was still very new to this and he was sure there were things he could work on. With her wings still sparkling from the previous round Sunny makes a twirling entrance with a flicking sparkle of her wings. The two had long decided to used the same routine as the final round from last time with the combo of STUN SPORE and GUST in order to create a sparkling tornado. [break][break]

Razz could see some of the panic from the audience as they set up this routine again, though this time the two were clearly in control of the situation unlike the first time they tried this out. With a bow from the both of them they made their way off stage and could only hope for the best.

Gavin's final round is right before Silph will close the contest out in its entirety, and he knows the audience will likely have a bias toward the last thing they see. It's how the human nature works; performances fade with distance. It gives him a slight advantage over the other two that his Ninetales will perform third.[break][break]

The crowd remain in awe of the swirling tornado. Ninetales follows it with a MISTY TERRAIN that saturates the stage before it's lit up with a DAZZLING GLEAM of colour. Sparkles fall upon the mist like drops of rain and stick where they land, decorating the stage with bright spots of light. Gavin wades through the vibrant fog as he makes his exit, satisfied.

Having to baby the crowd with the persona they want to see irks Fernando to no end but he sells it effortlessly. Even his Comfey feels the encouragement behind his words despite knowing full well that it’s only a mask for presentation.

A LIGHT SCREEN comes up and the Comfey uses DRAINING KISS repeatedly. Each kiss leaves firm lip marks on the LIGHT SCREEN, painting it in smooches like a smeared mirror.
