Adrian was not quick to trust the freshly cooled mantle, switching away pokemon and withdrawing another companion. "Recon." Magnezone held itself at head height, motionless; subservient.

"Check the area..." With the caverns rumbling and trembling wall-to-wall, the path forward was uncertain. While he awaited a response, affirmative or otherwise, dust and dirt began to rain from the ceiling. And then pebbles. And then rocks...

Some rather large ones above garnered his interest. They're going to break away...

Magnezone had returned to him, whirring about something it'd found after giving the clear on the floor, when Adrian interjected: "Zap Cannon on the rubble, now!" Anything to blow it to bits.

It seemed to work for the moment, but he still needed to find his bearings; arms upraised over his head protectively, welts began to form along his arms where he'd been struck. This $#!% bites...

As they move along Recon guides them towards a trench, or crater in the earth. A cache of forgotten artifices is theirs for the taking, most tempting of which is a Hot Stone of unknown origin. Its unnatural glow and heat vex him and the others, who are reluctant to hold it for long. Recon's Magnet Pull suspends the objects as they make their hasty retreat. A second Relic Crown is uncovered as they come up to their next hurdle.

While he awaits their input, Adrian and the others are at liberty to inspect their cumulative fortune. Most captivating to him is the stone, which seems to arouse the awareness of Yveltal within him...

But the demon does not speak on the matter.

Prodded along by curiosity, he begins to fiddle with the glowing stone, examining its facets. It would have made an awesome King's Jewel or something.

Adrian stares at the antiquated crowns for a good minute before thinking to try it. And perhaps it was naive of him to think it'd work, but they had uncovered the two artefacts relatively close by...

I mean, it's gotta be worth trying, right?

What they weren't expecting to find was a stone that gave off some kind of odd warmth. it was as if the mountain was giving them its own secret santa gift for the year to them. now they all probably seemed like jerks for digging into this mountain without giving something back in return. still it did try to kill them a few times so...there was that. as he watched @adrian fiddle around with the stone and one of the crowns they had found earlier kazimir was looking around to see where they could strike next to find a way out. things were really starting to feel steamy and he didn't want to become a raisin.

that's when he saw the magnezone zap some rocks, it was probably the only lead that they had for now so he sent out his toxtricity who danced around on the hot floor. "sorry aniki, but let's blow away those rocks over there. show them some punk rock spirit!" he said as he placed a hand on his pokemon's shoulder to calm him down before shoving him towards the rocks. the guitar pokemon strummed his chest to let out an overdrive of a power chord.

Orion doesn't notice the Joltik that's taken up residence on his shoulder until his skin starts to tingle and he cranes his neck to the side.

"How'd you get here?"

Evidently, it seeks to avoid the baking heat of the cavern floor; Orion's own boots are made to withstand the heat of Mt. Chimney and the Fiery Path, but this sort of heat manages to permeate their soles and leave his feet uncomfortably warm.

As the councilman struggles to find a suitable pokeball amidst his bag, the little electric spider fires an electroweb toward the boulder the others had been attacking. It settles around it like a net and charges it with electricity as if in hopes of amplifying the others' attacks.

"Oh, thanks. But seriously, where...?" It clicks, then, and he laughs apologetically as he returns the little guy to Kazimir. "Sorry, didn't notice him at first!"

the four them manage to break something from the rocks, a hot stone of obscure origin that he will want to try to sneak into his loots after. as the bunch spams the blocking boulders with electric attacks, his rotom flies out of his pokeball and begins to follow the other's lead.[break][break]

“oh! you're a quick one, aren't you?”[break][break]

as the group begins breaking the walls further with fire attacks, the redhead decides to retrieve brenn and summon dax instead to do the work while hoon assists. “use your jaws to take the treasures off the wall before it goes down.”[break][break]

using shock wave into the walls, the group finally sees the remaining boulders before they can descend deeper into the boiling hot chamber.[break][break]

valerio then throws his rhyperior into the scene. then creature then walks towards his aim, not minding the hot magma that is licking his hard carapace, as he positions to prepare his attack. the pokemon raises his arms and billows into the hot air: avalanche starts to rain upon it, breaking the first layer of hot earth liquid with cold ice.[break][break]

"Ice, huh?"

He'd been thinking of more water, himself, but he's not an avid spelunker and retracts his hand from Swampert's pokeball as Valerio leads their charge. He'll go with the group. It's worked so far.

His Silvally has proven to be effective in more ways than one, and he pats it fondly as it rematerializes next to him.

With its crest, Silvally stands taller than the councilman himself. It bares its fangs as it sizes up the boulder, ice forming on their sharp points. When it finds the right weak point, it lunges forward and sinks those fangs into the molten rock. Orion worries for Percy's health, but he seems to be holding up all right.

"Mime, Ice Shard!" By the staggering of the walls, their collapse seemed increasingly more imminent, and Adrian wanted nothing more than to be free of these unpredictable dungeons. Time wasn't on their side, so they'd need speed.

Its efforts seemed inconsequential, but eventually Mr. Mime's worth begins to show. The shards of ice it hurtled forward began to freeze over where they'd struck, compromising their obstructions.

"How do we get out of here???" Adrian looked around for an exit and saw nothing but rubble.

"bust out of here! what else do we do?!" kazimir replied to adrian's question as he swapped out his poison brother and sent out his gallade that knelt down waiting for an order. ice type attacks probably could work, after all they would melt and get everything wet which would dampen the rock right? well they had done some crazier things in this dungeon of a cave after all so why stop now. "triple axel!" kazimir shouted and immediately the gallade rushed forward as icy mist surrounded its legs as it jumped up and kicked some of the boulders with its strength, normally its arms were its stronger limbs but it had been missing leg day for a while so this was good exercise.

THE WHOLE CHAMBER QUAKES. around you, the magma bursts into pillars. FOUR HEATRAN crawl out from a crack in the wall, traveling across the cave walls like spiders. Aggravated by your presence, the Heatran attack immediately. However, those with the keenest of eyes, would be able to spot an unusual stone altar on the other side of the chamber. In its center, a small spherical slot remains curiously vacant.[break][break][break]

It is clear that escape is not possible without some sort of fight, for the Heatran are swift and able to traverse this treacherous terrain with ease.[break][break][break]

the cave erupts and soon the group is surrounded by beasts that crawled out of the molten lava. that fact alone was a pretty frightening fact that really painted a picture of melting in these things mouths if they got their jaws on them. good thing kazimir wasn't going to let that happen anytime soon. "i'll bust open a path for us guys! these guys ain't so scary looking!" a lie he told himself really as he threw his pokeball and unleashed his urshifu who took a fighting stance when faced with their enemies, as it did kazimir slipped on a glove and mirriored the pose of his pokemon as the stone in the glove began to glow and a blazing aura surrounded his urshifu.

with a mighty roar the light exploded and his urshifu, now mega evolved, rushed forward and punched one of the approaching heatran back with one mighty punch. as the others drew closer the urshifu reeled back its fist and stared down the approaching enemies before releasing a g-max one blow that shot forward and hit one of them square in the head. right between the eyes. "that's the way! knock their blocks off!"

the g-max one blow from kazimir's mega urshifu sure is effective against the enemies, but as soon as they are punched to the ground, the quadrupedal creature shift themselves and begins to chase them once again. valerio realizes there is something they can still do to depower them.[break][break]

and then he sees the strange altar from the other side of the chamber.[break][break]

“i have an idea.”[break][break]

the redhead takes the bag of loots and retrieves the hot stones from their bags while his fingers reach to his pocket. he whistles for his charizard to prepare and mounts on the lizard while he sends out a mega garbodor.[break][break]

“fly me into that strange stone pillar.”[break][break]

hoon flaps his wings and begins to dash into the other side. the heatran sees this and decides to follow the charizard, only to be stopped by the gigantic garbodor.[break][break]

“take cover guys! and your noses, too!”[break][break]

the pile of trash begins to glow a silver light, warning them of the doom that is about to happen. in a flash, rodriga begins to use explosion.[break][break]

Four Heatran began rushing them...

Almost nothing would ever help him to feel safe while trapped within the bowels of Hoenn's mantle. But as his most trusty pokeball came to rest in the palm of his hand, Adrian found comfort in the heft, hurtling it upward and releasing Furor onto the scene in all of its resplendent rancor. "Furor!"

It leers down at Adrian after frantically looking around the cave; this situation is almost worse than New Year's at Slateport. Although the leviathan creature obeys for now, its seems moody.

Adrian holds his wrist up, the MEGA STONE flashing with light as a rainbow sheen reflects from its surface. "Let's get this done!" Despite his faltering confidence, he managed a cocky grin.

Furor becomes surrounded in a churning maelstrom of sea spray and brine as it ascends, achieving Mega Evolution at the zenith of its rise before holding there, casting a loathsome gaze downward. "Alright, now use Z-Hydro Vortex!"

Surrounding them was a massive vortex of water that ravaged the magma and rock alike, with Furor riding the undertow, rampaging all the while its attack encompassed the swarming Heatran...

It says a lot about Hoenn that Orion's only slightly alarmed by the sudden appearance of Pokemon he's never seen before. Silvally jumps in front of him, defiant and snarling, but Orion worries that he's taxed the chimera too much already.

Reluctantly, he returns Percy and tosses out a Drifblim.

I probably shouldn't tell them I've never tried this before... He knew that some Pokemon didn't survive a move like this, but these were desperate times and the Drifblim was a ticking time bomb. It's one of the reasons he hasn't used the ghost-type much, afraid that its wild nature might cause it to explode at the wrong moment. This, however, is the perfect moment.

Valerio tells them to take cover, and the councilman tosses his Drifblim into the chaos alongside Garbodor. Upon noticing the trash Pokemon begin to glow, Drifblim copies it in earnest. Like an overfilled balloon, the ghost-type expands and expands until the pressure is too much and it EXPLODES.
