AS THE TAUROS ARE WRANGLED, the flames from storms and blitz whirl among the festivities. A RAIN DANCE douses any troublesome fires caused by the attacks; however, it causes the Tapu Bulu to throw its smoldering tree trunks away.[break]

It huffs. Spreading its thick arms, the deity rings its bell. It's reminiscent to that of a cowbell, but its bass rumbles through your ribcages with power. A green aura spreads across the area: GRASSY SURGE. The flames take on verdant tints under this filter and as the Tapu Bulu riles itself up once more, it appears to be rejuvenating alongside smaller plants growing within the cracks of pavement tiles.[break]

THE BULL IS NOT DONE YET. Angered at the resistance, the Tapu Bulu accelerates its rage. It glides through the air with ease despite its bulky body, channeling ENERGY BALLS that fire like stones from a slingshot toward the Pokemon that contest it.[break]

There had been a few words to be said before he left for work.

"He's what?" Doug said, his confusion at Hideo's words palpable, turning his gaze towards the other youth. Who in all fairness, seemed a bit frazzled and irritable, given his response.

Doug stared at Andy gravely, saying with utmost seriousness.

"Cows." He said dryly, just as the stampede broke through around them, this being about the time his Orbeetle duo began sending cows flying left and right.

The family drama went unseen and unheard of as Doug simply shook his head at Hideo.

"Andy's can get a bit intense, but he ain't gonna let anything hurt ya." Doug said, even as he bit his lip.

It still wasn't ideal; he should be the one taking care of Hideo- but he had another job, so all he could do was trust in the other youth. Though...

"Uh, get Rocky out just in case, though." He said, ruffling Hideo's hair one last time before finally going to work.

Rushing through the mess that had become the festival was no easy task. It figured that nothing could ever go as planned in Hoenn, but couldn't the disasters be a little more tame at least!? What was up with a literal God turning up to ruin the people's fun?

As the booming bass of a... cow bell(?) rocked his core, the youth nodded to his Orbeetle's before they enveloped him in psychic energy, lifting him off the floor and above the chaos down below and taking him directly towards the action.

Lo and behold, ere' hovered the pokemon of the hour. The pain in the ass who had messed up the bloody festival for everyone.

"Bae, Garo. Get its attention." Doug ordered his Ribombee and Orbeetle; they got to work.

Bae whipped up an aromatic Sweet Scent, the fragrance floating up towards the rampaging bull as his Orbeetle attempted to stablish a psychic link for discourse.

Naturally, Doug attempted to use it to blare at it.

'Oi... uh, Lord Tapu Bulu. Can we talk about this? There's... a lotta damage bein' caused. You Tapus care 'bout the land, nature and all that, right?' He thought to it through the telepathy as he threw a leg atop Kama, mounting on her back. 'Well, uh, care to add the pokemon and humans to the list as well? Cause yer causing more damage than everyone else here! Can't we take this elsewhere?'

There were a lot of adjectives he could have used that were worse than difficult. But in that moment, childish might have been one of the worst. She wasn’t expecting it, and she was again surprised. Her eyes widened slightly; her anger shifted more from herself towards Killian Decker. Now he was just egging her on, “Childish?!” she spat back, venom dripping from the word. She had half a mind to grab Nova and storm off but that wouldn’t help her cause. It would be childish. Besides, the other half of her mind was still semi-rational, though dwindling fast. And she wasn’t just going to abandon Killian, not again, no matter how angry she felt.

Meanwhile, the dark-type was watching them eagerly. Nova reveled in the tension with her aqua eye flashing between them like a child fixed to a TV screen.

Lex watched him walk past her, amber eyes narrowing in contempt. She followed a few steps behind, stopping beside him in front of the Balloon Pop. She, of course, immediately judged the choice of game. Killian and Lex had different strengths that complimented each other in their line of work but that also left them vulnerable when not working together. Well, it left Lex vulnerable. She always felt she needed him more than he needed her. Regardless, the game seemed fair, neither held an advantage over the other.

“This is fine,” she spoke flatly, quickly drawing 10 Poke from her pocket to pay for the both of them. She knew that would probably push his buttons.

She looked towards him as the scent of tobacco wafted in her direction. She breathed deeply, not out of a desire for tobacco, but because she enjoyed the smell. It had a calming sensation for her. Lex didn’t smoke, she valued her athleticism too much to tarnish it with the bad habit, but tobacco was a subtle note in Killian’s natural scent which she loved.

Tension released from her shoulders and her glare took on a softer tone. What was she mad about again? Oh yeah, she was difficult and childish.

Lex stepped forward, grabbing the darts she would use to prove her point. Whatever point that was, she didn’t even know anymore. One by one she shot the darts towards the balloons, the occasional miss, the occasional strike. It was a mediocre performance, at best. She was able to pop 8 balloons. 30 seconds was longer than she expected but it went by quickly, “Hm,” she was her only response to her performance before she stepped back to watch Killian have his turn.

"On your left!" Came a roar as a large, blonde man rammed onto the charging Tauros, intercepting the razor focused bull from its wide open side, the charging pokemon falling onto its side with a cry and grinding across the dirt to a stop near michiko maeda .

"No means no, Mr. Bull." The man said, huffing while leaning onto his knees, rolling his sore shoulder testily before moving to stand to his full height.

And releasing a hiss immediately after when he felt a jab from the small of his back, bending over sharply as his hand reached back to rub at it.

Ugh... Age.

Finally managing to fully stand back up, the man turned to face Michiko.

He smiled brightly.



A sight for sore eyes, that woman. Even if she was forever out of reach, she would remain in his heart always.

"Good evening, Michiko! Hope you don't mind my interference!" He said, jogging up to her as he looked around the chaotic festival, brows furrowed. "Things are mighty dangerous right now. Might you be in need of an escort?"
