With a disposable (and waterproof) camera snuggled away in his pocket, the reported inched his way through the murky Shoal Cave, his eyes scanning the area ever so often. Solrock, his Espeon, was perched on his shoulder. She would occasionally purr, but remained relatively quiet, as her ears were actively detecting even the smallest signs of wild Pokémon. Luckily, since they were currently experiencing low tide, the cave was mostly accessible to the duo. They could climb up and down the cavern as they pleased - though, that didn't mean the area itself wasn't still tremendously dangerous.

Sol mewed softly at her trainer before hopping off his shoulder. This was her common response whenever she catches even the slightest bit of movement or sound. It seemed as though a challenger was approaching them.

With Salem bored with the horses already as his trainer used one of their new friends to help clean the horse Salem decided to go explore a bit. Even with his fur, the horse just made everything so cold that even the Meowstic needed a bit more sunshine to keep himself going. Now just a little bit of moving to help warm up the body. A one a two and a jump jump jump. [break][break]

He didn't feel much of a rumble there cause the jumping. Still wanting to try and warm himself up a tad more he jumps a few more times before for a loud cry of a pokemon suddenly surprises him as the Meowstic trips and begins to slide until their body slides and crashes into one of the evolved eevees as something closes in.

So, without further contemplations, the trainer gave out the orders for his Espeon to set out an array of attacks. Just your typical psybeam here, swift there. It took a bit, as she was still dizzy from the collusion, but the duo eventually whittled the Pokemon down for Ezra to feel comfortable throwing out a Poke ball.

Upon his attempt of capture, he managed to look over at the presumed owner of the tumbling Meowstic. "Uh, hi...?"

Salem seemed a bit dizzy after his tumble, so thankfully the other was there as he wasn't going to be able to defend himself that easily from the sudden attack. Though with his cat missing Razz did leave the horses after the flashed away to go and look for him. By the time he caught up the ranger noticed the two ice pokemon attacking not alone some stranger but his cat. Taking out his pokeball the ranger takes out his Heracross and with the use of Night Slash was able to easily knock the odd looking Mr Mime away, the ranger finishing the job by throwing a pokeball toward it to capture it. [break][break]

Salem seems to cheer for his friend's win as the Meowstic hops onto the bug's head as he gives a wave to the stranger. Razz takes a moment to take in the situation that the other was thankfully able to handle. He nods in a small greeting, "hello, thank you for helping my cat, I hope he didn't cause you trouble"[break][break]

at this Salem almost looks offended at the accusation. =0

Readjusting his glasses, the male carefully examined the approaching stranger, treating the situation with a heathy amount of suspicion. His ass wasn't about to be got by some murderer tonight. "Nahnahnah, you're good." Ezra physically waved off the man's apology. "I didn't expect to see other people here, though."

As he spoke, his brown eyes glazed over the surrounding area, reaffirming his initial thoughts: this place sucked serious ass. Not only was it dank and cold, but every cliff appeared deadly.

It didn't take long for another cry to slice the silence the group was enjoying. "I guess we have company...again." Similar to before, the trainer instructed his Espeon to attack the incoming couple of Pokémon bachelors. With the help of the other man, the two were able to injure them without too much effort. The snom was especially susceptible to their incoming array of attacks.

Then, with the flick of a wrist, Ezra topped of the interaction with a capture attempt.

"No?" Razz questions almost confused about the fact of not seeing people. The young man tilts his head slightly as if trying to ponder on this, "And here I've noticed more recently there has been more traffic this way recently," heck normally he didn't travel here often after he was caught by Stormy Silph because he highly didn't want being caught again with his Ultra BEast. Guess this person wasn't at the festival. [break][break]

This time the ground rumbled as another pokemon comes their way. Always eager for a fight Slate went for the attack to help take out the graveler before using Megahorn to toss the large rock over it's head with the horn as if it were nothing but a pebble. Though as he already had a Golem he didn't have interest in another. "So I suppose then carrot planting isn't what brought you here?" he can't help but question as he knows that's the most common reason.

The stranger's quizzical look and response absolutely baffled Ezra. He knew hoennians weren't one to one with those he grew up with in Kalos, but he didn't think there would be such a stark difference in these types of things. Are wet caverns really such a hot spot in this region? Are cute cafes not a thing here? God, he felt so bad for them.

Ezra shook his head as they continued to venture further into the cave, still unable to swallow the general sense of disbelief he was feeling. "N-no, no. I'm here for other reasons..." His voice softened, shrinking down to a mere whisper as a feeling of shame began to spread across his face. This look only lasted a few moments, as the man was reminded of his vision board. Be proud of who YOU are the piece of magazine scrap yelled at him. Yes, he had to gulp down his shame and face the world proudly. So, with
a heavy breath, Ezra stopped dead in his tracks, spun towards the stranger, and....mumbled, "Iwantedtotakepicturesformyscrapbook"

Just as he somewhat faced his fear of humiliation, two pokemon jumped out from beside them, circling their group viciously. Sol, who was staring at her trainer with judging eyes, immediately sprung into action. Per Ezra's commands, she attacked the Cloyster with Swift, making sure to expertly dodge his icicle spears while doing so.

When the dust settled between the two, the trainer made sure to chuck a poke ball at the wild mon, wanting to continue filling up his PC.

Razz decided to travel with, he was done with the horse for now and getting a few pokemon might be helpful. At least depending on which pokemon they could find. "Oh?" is all he asked as the ranger wasn't one for many words. Honestly it made his cat roll his eyes as he seems to tell Slate something and the blue pokemon laugh together making Razz narrow his one visible eye in suspicion on what they could be laughing about. The other speaks a bit too fast for him to catch much outside of scrapbook, "Oh a Photographer?" he asked until they're inturupted, while the other goes the battle route with the larger pokemon Razz can't help but chuckle as the Swinub trying to intimidate him.[break][break]

Though with the way they shook he figured they weren't really looking for a fight but something else. Taking out a case Razz takes out a Pokeblock, "How about a treat for you to let us be?" he offers the ice type doesn't seem to even thinking twice before it charges the ranger to snag the pokeblock and leave while the other catches the Cloyster. [break][break]

With that out of the way Salem goes up to the other seeming to ask questions about their camera work, for now just assuming the human could understand him before the Meowstic jumps on a rock and poses. Though he makes sure to tell his trainer to say something before they pose again. "Salem would like to know if you can take a picture of him because he's a narcissist," he ask it was a clear joke but Razz's delivery might make it seem a bit more serious than it should be. Salem of course just gives a mock offense at it.

Upon catching the cloyster, Ezra turned back to his duo and sighed, "I guess you can call me that." Inwardly, he was dissatisfied with his way of spewing out words in a jumbled mess so others couldn't understand him. It was a cowardly way to avoid answering questions. His eyes glanced over at the posing Meowstic . Even though the trainer sounded half-serious with his request, Ezra thought it would've been too cute of a moment to miss. "Anyone as cute as him deserves to be a narcissist," He lightly chuckled with a small head shake. He then fished his hand into his pocket to retrieve his disposable waterproof camera.

The reporter (now photographer?) took a moment to situate himself near the rock the Meowstic was perched on top of. Kneeling down, Ezra took a few photos from a handful of different angles. He really gave this pokemon the model treatment. While doing so, two wild ice types seemed to have waddled over, drawn by their curiosity of the flashing white light. "So, what are you doing around here, stranger?" He inquired casually, slipping the question in between one of his shots.

After finishing their mini photoshoot, Ezra adjusted his stance so he could full on turn towards the two curious pokemon. While both held a special essence of cuteness, his eyes were immediately drawn to the small Vulpix, who appeared to be the shy one of the two. "Aw, it's okay, I'm not going to bite." The small vulpix blinked at his cooing. It was clear she didn't quite trust him. So, following her trainer's head nod, Sol slowly approached the small thing and began comforting her. Eventually, through a few attempts of befriending, the vulpix eventually lightened up and began approaching Ezra. At this point, he rolled over his poke ball and attempted to capture the small thing, as she seemed to be much friendlier towards them.

Salem seems to visibly glow at the compliment as the Meowstic squishes his cheeks in pure joy. A small smile goes on Razz's face though he still rolls his eye as it wasn't like the cat needed a bigger ego. So for now he stands on the side as the cat poses for some pictures. Salem would definitely go to the other to see how the pictures came out if the other would allow it. Though at the mention of stranger it dawns on him that he forgot to introduce himself. [break][break]

"Oh... umm s-sorry the name is Razz Kingsman, and you?" he questions before thinking how to respond as to why he were here because how to you explain an ice horse of legend? Oh well, "There was a merchant giving carrot seeds and apparently they needed extreme cold to plant them, rumor has it that it attracts certain pokemon," he finally decides on. He doesn't know of the other has a seed of his own and he has heard that surprises are better. [break][break]

At their two visitors Razz gives some attention watching as the other went for the Vulpix and Razz decided to try again with a Pokeblock which the penguin pokemon looked excited about. He wasn't too familiar with is so he did look it up on his DexApp. "Would you be interested in more on joining with?" the ranger questions as he offers up a pokeball seeing if the penguin would join him.
