The moment he saw the Lapras move, they were in for it.
Flashing this mysterious look in Skyler’s direction, all it took was that one look for Lars to finally get in on things, with a loud whistle to summon the Metagross to where he stood first.
“She’s going to be the death of everyone,” he muttered to himself, pinching the bridge of his nose before quickly swinging himself on top of Ro’s head. With him and Alpha, it was a tighter fit, but he had to get out of the way otherwise he was going to be swept away by the second rush of incoming water.
Now that the Metagross had two of them on its back, the height he could float to was more limited as compared to one person, but it still kept them as safe from the rush of water as necessary.
Five turns… no, wait, four! Have to make this count! He thought, before the Metagross extended one of its limbs and brought it down on the surface of the water, releasing a
Psychic blast in the process to force some of it upward and airborne.
See, the beauty of having a Metagross was the fact that they had four brains, and could compartmentalize all at once and focus on several different things. With a sufficient amount of water kicked up (and who knew how deep the damned thing was now because of all the water rushing in from the depths) the Metagross then put enough force behind the sphere with a single
Telekinetic flick.
The orb of water he’d managed to pull up exploded, temporarily shrouding them in a fine mist—hot hazy, but the kind one could temporarily hide away in—before the trio seemingly vanished.
But where had they gone to?
Knowing that the Jynx was somewhere on the ceiling, the Metagross had decided to ‘set anchor’, literally upside-down, on another section of the ceiling as well, dispelling the Magnet Rise and anchoring in with its massive claws.
This then forced another dislodging of icicles that had formed on the ceiling to suddenly drop. With another swing of one of its massive limbs, the Metagross forced the sudden hail storm of icicles to sail towards the other contestants with another well-timed
Psychic.
But where was Lars, and the Lucario, one would wonder?
Eventually the light ‘shroud’ would reveal Lars himself hanging onto one of the other legs of his Metagross, unfazed by the sudden change in gravity. If everyone was gonna fight down there, he might as well stay out of the way, right?
And the Lucario…?
A sudden bark of laughter from somewhere far below revealed that the Lucario had jumped from falling icicle to falling icicle using
Extreme Speed and eventually mounting one like a ‘snowboard’… surfboard… well the water beneath them was still water, per se, but how long would it remain water before it turned into ice?
Now that the Lucario looked like he was ‘hanging ten’, so to speak, Alpha then concentrated and summoned another Aura Sphere, flicking it towards one of the ‘frozen’ waves that had frosted over due to earlier interference, hoping to bring more ice into the fray and buy them some time!

It is basically insanity at this point!
