I'm addicted to the panic

This battle was actually grueling it had been the one full team battle that he had been part of, and right now he was using every trick, and strategy at his disposal in order to win it. His opponent was a guy named Adrian, and outside of this battle Amor knew absolutely nothing else about him. All he knew was that for the third time during this tournament he actually felt pressured. This guy was battling with a similar intensity as Zac Ramsay, and John Sullivan. Though if he was being honest Amor wouldn't have it any other way. The two Pokemon that they had just had both fainted at the same time causing a draw at the fifth round of this match, and Amor recalled his Duraludon. It had just used Metal Burst to reflect the damage it sustained back at the opponent, but magnified, and then it passed out. Thankfully so did his opponents Pokemon.

They were both on their last Pokemon, and Amor held the pokeball in his hand, this was going to be the decided factor, the stage had been ravaged from the ferocity of their battle, and he knew that it wasn't going to let up here. Tossing the ball into the air he let loose one of the newer additions to his team. Illukas, his Hydreigon, floated above the battlefield, and she was already looking around for her opponent. Seeing the scarred landscape she knew that she was in for a tough fight, but she was up for the task, as were her other teammates she was sure, but Amor had waited until now to send her out. Which meant that she was his ace for this battle. It was surprising for her, as Draco was normally the one that he reserved, but he hadn't been used at all this battle, so she assumed that he was resting.

"I gotta admit...You're only the third person to push me this hard..." a charming smile formed on his lips, he was wide awake with adrenaline pulsing through his veins. His black Kalosian suit was dirty, and had a few rips, and tears in it from the intensity of their battle. However he wouldn't change it for anything, this is what he was seeking, someone that could challenge him like this, and push his limits even further than they were. He had learned so much from this tournament that he felt more confident than ever in taking on the Gyms afterward.

"Whatever man, just battle." A Decidueye fluttered its wings impatiently while Adrian shared a similar sentiment. For as evenly matched their face off had been, it all left a sour taste in his mouth knowing Furor, Icon or Rover could've made the difference between a sweep and a grueling contest. Howitzer too...

All of the battling was beginning to scratch at old scars.

The man opposite him just told him to battle, not wanting to hear his compliments which was fine. If that was the case he would stop trying to be so cordial, though it was rather boring if he was being honest, he wanted a chance to just be like others. Shaking his head he looked at the Decidueye that his opponent had brought out, and Illuka scoffed at it, obviously she wasn't that bothered by the leaf bird that was now facing her down. Instead she hovered right there, and waited for the command that she knew was going to come, rarely did she act on her own. Unlike Draco, or perhaps Vilu she wasn't quite intune with her masters emotions, but she would get there one day.

"Illukas, use Nasty Plot!" He commanded her, and she snarled as a dark aura appeared around her body, and she felt the power coursing through her being. Though she wasn't given an attack command yet, that was simply because Amor was waiting to see what his opponent would do.

Battle Breakdown: Hydreigon used Nasty Plot. Special Atk. +2

Adrian regrets letting Amor corner him on a pivoting pokemon, but that was just how it played out. With an obvious disadvantage between them, he is already seething, the sour taste building up on his tongue. It's not like him to give up, but the hand he's been dealt is practically rigged. He's left with only one real option. "Lead with U-TURN."

Decidueye lunges forward, out of the frying pan and into the fire, raking its talons at Hydreigon before bowing out immediately after. Though it can't retreat and be replaced, it manages to put a great distance between it and Hydreigon while keeping a beat on it; an unnatural neck bone allows it to spin its head backwards, never losing sight of its opponent even as it hastily soars skyward. It would not be caught unawares.

Not that Adrian was about to get his hopes up.

The other man gave orders to his Archer Owl easily enough, and it sped forward using it's incredible mobility to smash into Illukas, and deal a heavy portion of damage to the Hydreigon, but that was perfect for Illukas. She snarled, and leapt into the air, it's six wings beating hard against the air as it attempted to close in on it's prey. Dark energy began to coil around the two heads that were more like arms as she attempted to close the distance.

"Illukas use Assurance!" He ordered his dragon as she closed the gap between them, and then struck out with both hands towards the Archer Owl. This move was a good retaliation because as long as she took damage, it would increase it's power, and the obvious type advantage it provided. Hopefully it would deal some hefty damage back to the Decidueye.

Adrian wasn't the only one who felt cornered, Amor couldn't help, but think about if he had any of his other dragons on hand how much smoother this battle might have been. But they needed their rest, and thus he had to use some of his more uncouth, and wild dragons in this battle. The fact that he had even made it this far was surprising to himself, but their savagery was something he was able to take advantage of, and use to his benefit. Still if their opponent had a bunch of moves that could keep crushing their stamina like that U-Turn, this battle could go either way.

"Phantom Force!" But it was too late to avoid that most gruesome blow.

Although Decidueye was not faster, it was stealthier. After taking the brunt of Hydreigon's assault it would meld into the shadows, fading into an ephemeral state beyond physical form. Here it would dwell and lick its wounds, watching and waiting for Hydreigon to lower its guard, to tire itself with futile attacks that could not reach it.

But then, the owl knew what awaited it once it revealed itself once more. Assuredly reluctant to abandon its place of safety, it would need to be coaxed, and so it was; Adrian would but wish it, and its aura would blossom with darkness, replacing the stain of nature upon it like a blight upon crops. Should've lead with that, honestly...

Yet it had created quite the upset in his opponent before, and Adrian desired not to use external tricks to gain an advantage during routine pokemon battles.

So his opponent had opted to use Phantom Force, and it was a good move, if the opponent wasn't aware it was coming. Watching the Decidueye disappear into the space between shadows much like Zahak would often do during their battles was interesting. However Amor didn't have to attack as he had shown from his first move in this battle, if they wanted to play hide, and seek he would take the time to gather up more strength for Illukas.

"Illukas use Nasty Plot, don't waste your time attacking." He stated simply and the dark aura that had gathered around Illukas earlier returned, and bolstered it's strength once again. The longer their opponent hid, the stronger they simply would become, and it wouldn't matter when they emerged if they attacked or not, because by then it was to late. If this was going to be a drawn out battle, Amor would win it with sheer brute force.

Illukas stayed in the air not wanting to give up it's aerial presence, and she waited for her opponent to come out of hiding. She had fought Zahak, so she knew that it could come out of anywhere with this particular attack. Once she got hit however it would spell the end of her opponent.

Battle Breakdown: Illukas used Nasty Plot. Special Atk is +4

Slipping out from the shadows at the Hydreigon's hind, Decidueye would land a cheap shot as it blindsided it, making an effort to dart past it just as quickly as it came. As expected it resisted the attack, hardly recoiling from the blow, and likewise preparing to deliver a significant counterattack that would leave them reeling.

Gotta heal next turn, then maybe...

What was he going to do, stare Hydreigon into submission? Bah!

The Phantom Force attack appeared, and smashed into Illukas, while it hurt it wasn't anything significant, and instead she glared at the bird who struck her, and the draconic energy in her throat built up.

"Illukas, Dragon Pulse!" Amor ordered, and the moment he let out the command a dragon shape energy blast erupted from all three of her mouths, and melded into one blast heading straight for the Decidueye. They had planned for this, wanting to deal large chunks of damage at once rather than try to whittle down the Ghost type. Of course two of her moves weren't effective against it at all, but with this attack she could do something easily.

Battle Breakdown: Illukas used Dragon Pulse. Sp. Atk +4

As expected they hit back harder, causing Decidueye to scrape by with a battered wing that could barely keep it fluttering around. It looked to Adrian for relief, but he could do nothing but force it through this crucible. Realizing it would be getting no external assistance, it doubled down on its less-than-nimble maneuvering. Sorry...

"Harness the sunlight to sustain yourself." SYNTHESIS allowed Decidueye to make up for most of the damage its wing had suffered, mending the hollow bones and replacing the tattered feathers. Even so it looked uncomfortable exerting itself in such a way.

When it used Synthesis to mend it's injuries Illukas was less than pleased, but they were now on the offensive, and the bird was now on the defensive, if it used Phantom Force again, they would simply amplify their power again. So the draconic energy began to build up once more, and Amor wasn't going to let up now. Illukas would have no less.

"Dragon Pulse again!" He commanded, and once again the three beams shot out of her maws like cannons, and then converged onto one point aiming for the bird once more. If they could heal then they would just have to keep battering them down hard enough that healing didn't matter.

Rather than prolong the engagement in this stalemate, Adrian urged Decidueye into a full-blown offense; swooping towards the Hydreigon as the rush of draconic energy pulsed towards it, Decidueye's wings outstretched into LEAF BLADES that swelled with an unnatural OVERGROWTH that allowed it to carve through the incoming energy.

Thermal induction off the dragon pulse reached Decidueye, scorching its wings and drying them up, causing them to flake away as it approached Hydreigon.

They were hacking their way through the Dragon Pulse, Amor couldn't tell if they were taking damage or not, but the unnatural glow of that Leaf Blade made him wonder. When they got close enough they smashed into Illukas with those sharp blades causing her to groan, but she snapped back with powerful jaws. Attempting to Crunch down on the Decidueye. The move was more like a reaction rather than her listening to a command from Amor, but he didn't seem to mind.

"Illukas hang in there!" He told his dragon, but she wasn't going to be bothered by something so trivial like pain.

"Don't let up!" Try as it might to stuff Hydreigon's gaping maw with more LEAF BLADE, its wing became entrenched in its jaw before it crunched down on its leafy appendage, causing it to howl with anguish. "You've got to break free!" If you can.

Easy for him to say from the sideliness. It wasn't his arm caught in its jaws. Looking to the sidelines, he wondered whether he should call the match before the referee did.
