Zac had encountered enough trouble installing the Unown app in the first place, but with none of the psychic Pokemon in his bag, PC, or garden, he didn't have anything to contribute to the collective search.

"I've been attacked twice by these little buggers," Zac said, chewing on a psychic muffin he'd made. "You'd think that tracking them down would be easier, but I've had no luck so far. What about yourself?"

Chu-e chewed on his own muffin, which was not psychic, but instead was filled with blueberries. Just behind both of them, a Galarian pair, a Slowking and Slowbro, each also with a muffin. The Slowking was chewing like Zac Ramsay, while the Slowbro was chewing like Chu-e.

They were fueling up and getting READY.

"You know what they look like though, right? Weird, lettery things?" Suddenly a bouncy blue baby appeared from the foliage. Zac quickly identified that it wasn't an Unown and let it be, tossing it one of the cupcakes.

Zac noticed the Slowking chewing like him and stopped, watching the Pokemon suspiciously.

When Zac Ramsay stop, so did the Slowking. The Slowking also watches Zac back, just as suspicious.

"I've seen drawings in books before." Said kind of idly, as he stared after a Duosion. The whole line of that pokemon still made him a little sad to see, but it didn't hurt like it did before. Stupid dead husbands and their stupid favorite pokemon.

When it floated away, Chu-e glanced back at Zac and his Slowking.

"Aloe, you making friends or being an asshole?" It was hard to tell with this particular pokemon.

"Nah we're just having fun," Zac said, starting to chew again. He pulled out the tray of muffins and offered one to the crowned Pokemon. "Get one of these in ya gob! They're full of good vibes and energy crystals," he said.

Zac had spent a long time brainstorming how to make a food 'psychic', and this latest iteration didn't seem like winners.

As he held out the tray, a beam of psychic energy from the bushes hit the tray, sending the muffins flying through the air. "Hey! I worked hard on those," Zac said as he picked up one of the fallen muffins. Annoyed, he hurled it into the bushes where it splattered on the rude Pokemon. He followed the attack with a Pokeball.

"Crystal?" Like a dog being promised a bone, Chu-e perks up.

He frowns when the muffins hit the dirt.

"I don't know if that's how being psychic works." A Spearow screams and flies from a bush, grabbing one of the muffins and flying off with it clasped in it's claws. Tragic.

Aloe had managed to take one before they fell, munching into it eagerly even with the questionable ingredients. The ones on the ground wouldn't go to waste, the Slowbro flopping down and cramming them into his mouth, not caring about the dirt.

"Hey! At least these guys like them. Maybe you made a new Psychic type treat?"

As Slowbro ate, a Skwovet dashed from the underbrush and snatched up one of the fallen muffins, stuffing it into its fat cheeks. The little rodent scuttled up a tree and stopped still just long enough for Zac to toss a Pokeball at it.

"I was trying to make a Psychic treat, but there's not really a comparable flavor, right?" Zac said, pulling out a second batch and offering one to Ki. "Where do you get the Psychic from? Herbs are all grass, magic stones are still just rocks. I tried to infuse it with pieces of a crystal ball but that's just a disaster waiting to happen!"

Chu-e took one of the offered muffins and crunched into it. Yes, delicious minerals. Shake that his parasite had made him like to eat weird shit like this. He wondered if Cillian Quinn still had that crystal toe and would let him eat it.

His G. Slowbro wandered off and came back holding a Wyanut under it's arm. The Wynaut wiggled, so Chu-e broke off a piece of the muffin and fed to it before tapping it with a pokeball.

"Psychic powers are supposed to come from your brain, so what if you made a Brain Muffin?" Gross. Nasty. Disgusting. But still an idea.

"A brain muffin," Zac said slowly, chewing over the idea. "Where would I get the brains though?" he asked. It was the first of several questions, but Ki had opened his eyes to a new avenue. To catch something smart you had to use something smart. Not hocus-pocus mumbo-jumbo, but maybe pieces of other Psychic Pokemon?

It seemed a bit unethical, but ethics only applied to actions, not to thought experiments.

There were a lot of answers Chu-e could have, mainly about he was a criminal and could get Zac Ramsay whatever he wanted, but he would keep that to himself.

"What about food waste scraps?" Lots of places that processed things to eat tended to throw out those types of organs. Maybe if Zac found the right supplier, he could get them safely. Like, if the creature was gonna get turned into nuggets anyway, may as well use the whole hog and make it a little better.

Which was maybe more than the thought experiment Zac had wanted, but hey.

The Slowbro had wandered off again. A shot of poison and it had brought back another offering to Chu-e, a Bidoof, which he tossed a ball at absently.
