Once he manages to separate himself from Senon's headlock, Adrian takes a few steps before feeling his foot sink into a more gritty platform. Upon looking down he sees he's stepped into a sort of sandbar on the side of the mountain, just below a sheer cliff of upturned earth. Nearby, a Sandyghast seems to take issue with his trespass. Holding his palms up in a passive display, he takes a few cautious steps away.

"Whew, that was closer than I'd like."

SLEEP POWDER. He caught the Orbeetle with sleeping spores as Baby felt the recoil from his last battle and couldn't risk taking on a bug head on.

Crimsen attempted to capture Orbeetle!

Getting back to his feet as Adrian escaped he looked around for a bench to stretch out on.

It felt like they were going to be here a while longer and he was just willing enough to call out some of his more self-sufficient pokemon and let them call their own audibles.

SLEEP POWDER wouldn't be help as Baby sputtered onto his belly for a rest. There was no option better than a literal 'psychic sponge' to be pick up baby's slack.

Inkay hit the field and moved on the Cerebral Pokémon with haste and subterfuge. Between a merciless use DISABLE and SLASH, the psychic-type was felled in full.

Crimsen attempted to capture Beheeyem!

He almost missed Adrian snagging a focking rotom! "-shit!"

"What, just noticed?" Streaking through the semi-conductible surfaces was a Rotom, which Adrian conveniently cornered while Senon was distracted. He'd been quiet as could be while trying to wrangle it into a pokeball.

Releasing a Zangoose from its ball, its EMBARGO inhibited the pokemon from fleeing into another device or medium, forcing it into battle. A panicked, poorly considered ASTONISH fails to make its mark, while the brutish mongoose winds back an arm before lurching forward in PURSUIT of the poltergeist pokemon.

After trading a few more blows, Adrian emerges the clear victor. An ultra ball is brandished, and just as he pulls back his arm to hurtle it forward, Senon catches a glimpse of him and his quarry.

The same Zangoose was pursuant of the Gastly that appeared, trading blow for blow. When it realized its attacks had no effect on the Zangoose, it resorted to its CURSE, afflicting Zangoose but ultimately condemning it all the same.

When the dust settled, a pokeball siphoned the gaseous orb within its confines, just as Senon griped yet again. "Alright, alright," he relented.

"Next one's all you."

Unless it wasn't.

Whatever. The next rotom was going to be his, and the next bounty pokémon, and the next unown.

Goddamn Adrian, hogging all the good shit. Sinnohians? Sinnohites? Not a diffident people.

Turning his attention to a wild one passing by Sénon took notice of a drifloom and tugged at it trying to float away.

Crimsen attempted to befriend Drifloon!

Before long its attempts to get away became less and less as it realized the human handling it meant it no harm, no came to float in place, happy to belong rather than further aimless wandering.

When the drifloon seemed ready Sénon would secure it with a premiere ball, "The last of these I ran into in the wild self-destructed and blew my ass off."

-while he gave Adrian the lore references. "That's how I met Cait." That's right, Adrian hadn't heard this story yet.

He held out his arm offering support to his Inkay which promptly landed and began to suction the back of his hand with big blooper energy.
