During Angelo’s last visit to Razz’s brand new, temporary holdings… He’d made a rather disturbing discovery. [break][break]

With Sootopolis still under Rocket occupation, the pilot had been making occasional trips to check in with the young ranger. To ensure his friend was holding up alright after, well, everything. [break][break]

Not like he thought that Razz was incapable of looking after himself, of course… [break][break]

Although that thought had wavered during his last visit, when he’d checked out the extremely large and polished kitchen of the Silph estate Razz was staying in. And where he had made the ‘disturbing discovery’. [break][break]

After calling ahead, Angelo now stands outside the obnoxiously large accommodation, listening to the doorbell make an elaborate chime after he’d jabbed a calloused finger multiple times into the buzzer. There’s a clear plastic bag in one hand, filled to the brim while in the other he holds a single daisy he’d stealthily snatched from the front of the Silph garden – a present to appease Sabrina. [break][break]

Standing at his feet, Sammy clutches at a large bouquet of herbs. Sprigs of rosemary, basil and oregano tickling the Gulpin’s nose as it near covers the entirety of his blobby form, just the single yellow feather poking out the top. [break][break]

In the face of professionalism however, as he waits for the door of the fancy dwelling to be opened and while in the presence of the Sotally Tober head cook, he resists a sneeze.

After the call it seems like his day was going to be booked for the day. So Razz made note not to take any jobs. Not like his dispatcher seemed to mind that much seeing how they seemed to know his situation. Though being at the new place was still a little jarring for him, he was still getting used to the size of his new place, yet here he was now he was in somewhere bigger. [break][break]

Though his pokemon seemed to like it as many of them now had a lot more room to run around, currently he was drinking some water as he watched as some of his pokemon seemed to be running around playing some sort of tag game. How he ended up with so many wild pokemon he'll never know. Though as one runs in front of Sabrina while she and Cobalt were watching their soaps a yell from her gets them to stop. [break][break]

Thankfully that's when the door rings. Once Razz opens the door Angelo might find himself knocked over as both his Eevees, his Riolu, and finally his Zeraora all run outside the moment he opens the door. Followed shortly after by his Ditto. Prism transforming itself into a shiny Gulpin before it chases after the others. [break][break]

"Sorry about that, Sabrina yelled at them," he explains as if it were the biggest explanation in the world, though he doesn't miss the bag in his hand. "What's that?"

Angelo can hear them coming; the stampede. [break][break]

And yet he still doesn’t have time to get completely out of the way as the door swings open, Razz letting loose a pack of fluffy pokemon – and one squelchy Ditto-Gulpin – to charge his way. [break][break]

“Woah, careful guys!” He barks out, only having the time to scoop Sammy up from off the ground as Eevee knock into his ankles, Angelo being forced to hop to the side to avoid the rest. For the ship cook assistant’s credit, he manages to keep a tight hold of the herbs left in his care, although Sammy does tremble in his arms a little from the surprise.[break][break]

When the herd thunders out of the way, an apology comes from the doorway, pulling Angelo’s cerulean gaze over to the ranger who looks somewhat out of place standing in the threshold of such an elaborate building. [break][break]

“Is that why they were running away?” It’s entirely possible, Sabrina was a force to be reckoned with. He’d learned that from the first five seconds of meeting her, when she’d hurled a cardboard box in his face. He’s quite fond of the firecracker. [break][break]

“Food.” Is the simple response as he lifts the plastic bag in question up and nudges Sammy to be more comfortable in his arm, lips splitting into a grin as the answer dangles half-resolved. A pinch of mystery left behind. [break][break]

“We’re cooking. Sky’s not home for dinner and I’m not sitting around an empty table. You going to let me in?”

The pokemon don't seem to care too much about what Angelo said, all of them gone by the time he said anything. Least there was still a place for them to play here. "Most likely yeah, I mean she's pretty bossy when her show is interrupted," he shrugs as if it were no big deal. Though he was used to it by now so it didn't mean too much. [break][break]

Though Razz tilts his head at the other seemingly confused on the concept of food. "But... we have food?" he questions looking more confused. "Though if you're going to be here I can order something?" he offers before the other points out that he didn't invite him in. "Oh.. uh right..." he steps aside to allow the other in, clearly he has all the social skills in the world.[break][break]

When he's in Angelo would notice the place hasn't changed much since he last came, the TV is on with Sabrina watching it along side Cobalt the Metagross. On the island that separated the Livingroom from the kitchen Salem was sitting drinking juice before waving a welcome at his fellow dragon rider. "Uhh make yourself at home I guess?"

“No. You have styrofoam in a cup. That’s not food.” His response flicks off his tongue without missing a beat, expression deadpan as he remembers his disturbing discovery. [break][break]

How it had looked like Razz had cleared out the instant noodle section of the local market. And how Angelo had considered for a moment whether his death would be dealt by the hand of a dozen containers flattening him, when the avalanche spilled from the cupboards… [break][break]

“I've already brought the ingredients with my hard-earned cash, Razz. We’re cooking.” It’s clear that Angelo’s mind has stubbornly been made up, although his reasoning is filled with good intentions.[break][break]

Boots squeaking against the pristine tiles as he walks into the gloriously white and obnoxiously expansive Silph condo, Angelo sweeps his gaze over the apartment that feels like a foreign, alien spaceship. After seeing both of Razz’s former living arrangements, this place gives him whiplash… [break][break]

“Thanks. Don't mind if I do.” Make yourself at home, Razz tells him, garnering a smile from the pilot. He briefly wonders if he even feels like this place is home worthy, although he doesn’t hesitate to head over to the kitchen. [break][break]

Angelo's plastic bag is thumped down on the kitchen island, palm replaced immediately with Salem’s head when he pets the Meowstic sitting there in greeting. [break][break]

Sammy is placed alongside their offerings, then both the Sotally Tober cook and assistant start delving into what they had brought with them. Laying out the ingredients all over the countertop, taking over the kitchen in a heartbeat. [break][break]

“Hey, Sabrina. I’ve got something for you!”

An almost childish pout can't help but cross his features. Angelo being one of few people he let his guard be down with and it was why he was one of few people who knew where he relocated. "Noodles aren't styrofoam, just their cup, he corrects the other as they enter his temporary place of living. Well... Hopefully temporary. [Break][break]

"Fine if you have the urge to cook by all means, but I don't how much utensils this place has though," the place barely looked lives in when FERNANDO SILPH gave it to him. And seeing how he mostly uses the microwave for food pots and pans weren't as high of a priority as getting a few new clothes so he didn't just live in his work uniform.[break][break]

Salem purrs as the pets as he leans into them, silently demanding more acting like he's never been given pets in his whole life. The brat. Razz just takes a seat at the island as he looks at what was in the bag. At the mention of a gift both Meowstic perk up. Sabrina bothers to look toward him from the couch with a curious indifference, as she had a reputation to keep, while Salem gives him crocodile tears. A look basically saying 'you brought her a gift but not me?'

Angelo places a carton of eggs down on the kitchen countertop a little more carefully than the other items he’d so far revealed; flour having already spilled onto the surface like a small dusting of snow. They were precious commodities to come by aboard the Sotally Tober, after all. [break][break]

“If they can throw their cash around on a fancy place like this and not use it, they can afford some pots and pans.” It seemed like the kind of thing rich folk would do, deck out a whole place for when they use it for that one week out of the whole year.[break][break]

“Surprised Silph didn’t throw in a personal chef for you,” an eyebrow is quirked, grin lazy as he leans over the counter towards where the Meowstic wait. Sammy takes over removing the last of the ingredients out of the bag and then proceeds to eat it, as Gulpin do – receipt and all. [break][break]

“Here, since you both work so hard to look after Razz.” [break][break]

He hands the small flower he’d snatched from the neatly pruned gardens right outside the complex to Sabrina, before delving into his pockets. Angelo retrieves a knock-off Rare Candy he’d brought at the Mart, wrapper a little wrinkled around the edges, for Salem. [break][break]

“Without you, he’d be eating Cup Noodles every meal, I bet.”[break][break]

Both presents are last minute – or in Salem’s case, last second out of guilt – but it’s the thought that counts.

"Well I mean I'm sure they can, but like if you don't really live in it why actually have it there?" Razz comments before he actually goes into the cabinets to check. "What do you know there are some," shows just how much Razz actually checked the place for proper dishes when eating out was easier, or cereal and noodles. When he got up to lean on the island again he looked at him confused, "Why throw in a cook?" [break][break]

Both Meowstic are huddling around Angelo as he promised them gifts, and Salem gasp in excitement when he gets the candy. The cat already removing the wrapper and nomming on the candy. Meanwhile Sabrina would look at the flower seemingly unimpressed, ignore the flush of her cheeks as he used psychic to grab the flower and smell it. She meows and seems to sign something to Razz before she hovers back to her soaps.[break][break]

"She says 'acceptable'," though back at the couch she does keep the flower in her mane.

Laughter barks from Angelo’s throat, hearty. Sabrina’s ‘disinterested’ reaction to receiving her present is not one that he buys completely, especially not when Razz provides a translation. [break][break]

His lips curl in a knowing and amused kind of way but Angelo doesn’t call the Meowstic out on her bullshit, letting her float away with the flower in her hair and her reputation intact. [break][break]

“You’re welcome.” [break][break]

After appeasing his favourite feline pair, cerulean eyes turn towards Sammy, who has arranged the wide array of ingredients that they’d brought with them out on the kitchen countertop. Ready to be prepped. [break][break]

“Alright, assistant number two. Ready to cook?” Turning to face Razz with a smile, Angelo claps his calloused palms together once in a signal of action, before stepping off towards the sink to wash his hands. [break][break]

It doesn’t sound like a question, so much as it’s a call for all hands-on deck – no matter whether this had been an agreed arrangement or not. [break][break]

“Salem, you too. If you’re in the general kitchen zone, you’ve volunteered to help. Those're the rules.” Unless you're skyler dross , then Sammy will see you banned or, at the very least, heavily scrutinised.

"I... me?" Razz question when called out as assistant number two. "I mean I know how to follow directions at least? but there is a reason I just turn to Ramen," the younger man will just shrug at the other, "Its just easier."[break][break]

Meanwhile Salem's eyes widen in shock hearing about how he would have to help too. Unsure if it was just because he was at the table or if it was because he accepted the gift. The cat decides to spit up the chewed up candy in it's wrapper before twisting it up again and puts it on the table. His hands go up as he meows something akin to a 'nevah!' before running to the living room. [break][break]

“Good thing that’s all I need you to do, then!” Undeterred from Razz’s fumbled excuse, Angelo smacks the young ranger on the shoulder. Smile sharp and wide at his, relatively unwilling, assistant. “You’re already one step ahead of Sky.” [break][break]

With a little bit of encouragement, hopefully Angelo could save Hoenn from the second coming of Gulpin Green Egg Sandwiches.[break][break]

Fingers remained clasped on Razz’s shoulder as Salem expresses his own dissatisfaction of being asked to help by hacking up the candy he’d been eating, returning it in its wrapper and backing out. An eyebrow is raised as cerulean eyes chase the Meowstic out of the kitchen, less grossed out – he’d grown up with five younger siblings, after all – and more deadpan dissatisfaction. [break][break]

Sammy, however, eagerly accepts the slobbery treat. Eating it whole. [break][break]

“And I don’t think Salem will be taste testing anything.” He bounces off Razz, loud enough for the pesky cat to hear him. [break][break]

Turning to his trusty green assistant and his new, hesitant one, Angelo gives a nod over towards the sink in a hint to follow suit with washing his hands. [break][break]

“We’re making ravioli. You like pasta, right?”

"I don't think anyone can be as bad as Dross," he comments as he recalls when skyler dross basically poisoned her own pokemon. That poor poor Reuniclus. [break][break]

Though as Salem does his little display Razz can't help but wrinkle his nose at his cat before he leaves. Then to make it worse the gulpin just eats up what the cat spit out. Gross. [break][break]

All Angelo would hear back is a nyaaaah which Razz doesn't have a clue on what it means. So he doubt the other will but tone wise he can tell that Salem isn't to bothered on the idea. "Yeah it's fine, this is just the we boil it in water or something right?" he hopes for because the idea of having to stuff them themselves seems troublesome.

Angelo doesn’t think twice about sticking up for his wife when she isn’t here to defend herself. skyler dross was a calamity upon the kitchen and they all knew it; Razz would see no objections. “Touché.” [break][break]

The same cannot be said for what he says next. Raising a brow, all Angelo need do is swing an open hand towards the collection of goods that he had brought with him, lined up on the kitchen countertop with Sammy looking expectedly their way. [break][break]

There are no pre-made packets of ravioli. Or even pasta, for that matter… [break][break]

“We’ll boil them once we’re done making the things. Trust me, it’s not as hard as you think to make from scratch.” Says the man who's spent plenty of time in the kitchen. Not just back in Alto Mare with his grandmother and when he'd make food for his younger siblings, but now for a helpless sailor who can’t cook an egg without setting off some kind of radiation warning.[break][break]

“Now, here’s the golden question for you, Razz…” Angelo steps towards their workstation, fingers clamping around a familiar commodity, holding it out to him. “Can you crack an egg?”

Razz can't help but sigh at the fact that this all had to be made from scratch. It all just seemed so inefficient, though it could be because he was being bias about the whole thing. Though he pouts a bit as his skill comes into question. Or well his lack of skill really as Razz grabs a couple of bowls that could be used for mixing, "I can crack an egg," and he attempts. [break][break]

And it fails.

"I'd like to point out that I usually just boil eggs in the toaster," because he's never really learned to cook. It was forbidden for reasons he could only guess about. He'll try again learning his lesson the first time about doing it too hard. So he'll try softer.[break][break]

No better, but it doesn't break and make a mess this time.

He takes a breath of frustration, but at least when it cracks no shells fall in.

"Maybe I should just let you," he grumbles, as he moves to wash his hands of egg white.
