"You and I both know it wasn't," Razz grumbles to himself seemingly more upset about it that he should be. He honestly doesn't even know why it upsets him. Had he just tried it on his own and failed he wouldn't have cared, but since Angelo was here? It was a strange thing. [break][break]

He nods his head about the grams of flour and gets out something else to put that in. Though he is interested in how the other knows of the device while Razz takes a picture of their Unown as he gives a nod of thanks as he submits it. "There were multiple people helping some cat and dog with their cooking orders," he pauses for a moment as he's sure Angelo would give a look, "I had the pokemon cooking, not me."[break][break]

"Speaking of though there is a symbol on it you might want to avoid anyone who wears it," he mentions as he does show off the symbol to the other.

Taking a step closer at Razz’s gesture to take a look at the strange Unown device, cerulean eyes scan the data that flickers onto the screen, curiosity soon becoming replaced by a pinch of his brow. Something suspicious and familiar flickering within a weather eye… [break][break]

“Hang on. That looks familiar...” He mumbles, his calloused finger tapping against the panel where a symbol sat. Its shape burned into his memory from back earlier in the year, when kyle lopez had shown him the exact same formulation of lines in a café post excursion.[break][break]

Everything about that day had been singed into his mind. From the explosion of the yacht deep within Sootopolis waters to the feel of claws gouging lines through his skin and how cold her skin had been, how dead Melody Miro had looked… [break][break]

And meeting her for the first time. The birth of his and Latias's companionship, he’d never forget. [break][break]

Arms folded and hip leaning against the countertop, cooking takes a backseat in favour of the conversation. Thankfully, Sammy the cook assistant is there to pick up the slack, using his stubby hands to mix the pasta dough while Angelo’s attention splinters. [break][break]

“She told me about this group of yours,” he answers honestly when asked about the conversation Razz and skyler dross had had, that morning after the Sootopolis takeover. Back when he’d been getting a pitiful, troubled few hours of sleep… [break][break]

When he’d woken up Razz had already gone. And they’d eaten the leftovers. [break][break]

“But I already heard about them from someone else a while back. All I know is they’re hunting avatars.” [break][break]

Angelo doesn’t have time to contemplate on any information that he may have picked up over the last few months. Neither he nor Skyler – and as far as he was aware, Razz – were avatars at the time, so finding out about these supposing assassins had found little priority in his mind.[break][break]

Now, however, was a different story… [break][break]

“You ran into them? They didn't hurt you, did they?” [break][break]

Raising a brow, Angelo’s cerulean gaze remains locked upon Razz, cold blue fire burning within. The mood in the kitchen simmers into something a little more serious, broaching the topic with little hesitation as something protective burns deep within his gut. [break][break]

“I mean, that big white dragon that was with you in Sootopolis? It’s a legendary, right?”

”If it’ someone from the League who told you about them well…” he gives a slight pause as he thinks for a moment of how to phrase this without making the other have to worry about the possible threat these people were. Especially now that his wife was a potential target of theirs. ”Who do you think was the one that’s gave them the warning?” there wasn’t, was eventually the short conclusion. [break][break]

”I was the first to encounter them as far as I know, the white dragon you saw was Reshiram, they were angry because their avatar had been killed by someone who wore that symbol. But they had also killed the person before I got there so I don’t have much information outside they’re after avatars, the only new clue was that symbol that appeared recently with that device,” he tries to keep his explaination quick and to the point for Angelo, as he figures they might need some focus with the food.

”What of that red flying pokemon? They choose you too?” he can’t help but question uncertain of the married couple was a pair of married avatars. Part of him can’t help but wonder if they had a kid if those powers would transfer down, but that wasn’t something he was going to ask out loud.

Razz sidesteps, breezing over the explanation of his encounter with the Unown assassins instead of answering about his wellbeing and relationship with the ethereal dragon. Angelo gets the gist, anyway. [break][break]

Although he has a feeling that the ranger wouldn’t tell him if he had been injured, either way. [break][break]

“You’re looking into it then, yeah?” He assumes that’s what he means new clue. Angelo steps back towards the kitchen counter, Sammy having efficiently prepared the rest of the dough. He’d had a good teacher. [break][break]

“I’ll keep my ear to the ground for you while I’m on the move. Maybe you ‘n your dragon friend can piece something together a little faster that way.” [break][break]

The fact that Reshiram’s last avatar had been offed was a little concerning… Although Razz was more than capable of handling himself, Angelo knew, the protective side of him urges to take a little weight off the young recluse’s shoulders. Even if it was just gathering whatever intel he stumbled across.[break][break]

“Chosen? Nah. She’s more like… a tagalong,” he snorts softly, fondly, when asked about his own dragon companion. It’s clear that she’s more than that by the twinkle in his eyes, in their steadfast companionship throughout the Sootopolis incident. [break][break]

“Her name’s Latias. She's one of the Eon Duo. Helped save my ass earlier in the year and well, we’ve kind of been together since. No magical, blood pact powers though.”[break][break]

Taking the dough from his Gulpin assistant with a lopsided smile of gratitude, he begins to knead the heel of his palm into it.

"Yup, its basically what it tasked me with," he gives a shrug. While he's grow a bit closer to the dragon since there there was still a bitterness there. The doubt of not really being chosen from his own merits but rather the white dragon just wanted someone who could help them find the previous avatar's killer. Just convenience at being there over someone's actual choice. [break][break]

Something that was far different between Angelo and this 'Latias' of his. "I've heard stories of them being supposed guardians of the Sky here in Hoenn, but I don't know much details about it, but I'm glad you have someone watching your back, I think you and Sky can to live a dangerous life style"[break][break]

As the other messes with the dough Razz just sort of poked at it, not entirely sure of what he should be doing, "You know I've never really done this before..." he comments as he just watches the other, "My father was against my brother and I in the kitchen so I never made my own meal until I finally moved out"
