Supercharged and eager to throw itself into the fight, a RAICHU gives Remiel and his Charmeleon no time for rest as it darts in. With the element of surprise on its side, it manages to tackle Atsuko (QUICK ATTACK) before proudly stomping its feet. The ambassador knows he doesn't need to say or do much for what's to come next, however.

The Charmeleon inevitably bounces back and charges the Raichu with what appears to be a claw readied to slash. Just as it begins to try and evade, however, she quickly whips around to strike it with the extended reach of her tail (DRAGON TAIL). The strike lands, sending the Raichu flying down the hallway before hitting the ground and collapsing.

Remiel runs ahead, parting from Mars briefly, to pull out an empty luxury ball and toss it at the unconscious Raichu.

It’s with an amused smirk that Mars watches as Remiel’s Charmeleon faces off against a wild Raichu, the Alolan variant of the latter happening to be one of his favourite Psychic types. And yet, even if that’s the case, of course he sees no reason to intervene, doing no more than merely petting his Rapidash’s side while watching the scene unfolding before him.

Only when Remiel runs after the Raichu does he step away from Incitatus, and he only does so because a Scizor charges for them with a BULLET PUNCH.

A HEATPROOF titan emerges out from the labyrinth that is the abandoned power plant. Eager to test its mettle against the Fire-type Pokémon, the BRONZONG fills the hallway with a resounding (and intimidating) 'gong' just as Mars makes his quip.

It's fine, though. At least it saved Remiel another eye-roll as he closed his ears shut with his hands.

Atsuko steps in shortly thereafter, striking true with a blazing INFERNO. The Bronzong pushes through with a HEAVY SLAM, but the Charmeleon uses its martial arts prowess to COUNTER, using the momentum of the larger opponent against it. Another loud 'gong' resounds, and the Bronzong emerges from that sideways on the ground.

Remiel pulls out a ball and tosses it at the fallen bell afterwards.

Like a tolling bell, a Bronzong loudly announces its presence, and this time Mars is the one who rolls his eyes.

Interrupting him when he’s talking? That’s just rude. Now he really is glad he sent one of those to the furnace.

His Rapidash doesn’t seem too happy with the Bronzong either, but Mars just pats its side as they watch how Remy’s Charmeleon deals with the wild pokémon. It’s then when he looks at his watch, almost as if he were bored.

An ION DELUGE fills the hallways as they advance. The clip-clop of a ZEBSTRIKA's hooves echo throughout until, finally, the bovine rounds a corner and appears. With wild eyes, it neighs loudly before charging the Charmeleon with the intent to THRASH.

Atsuko precedes the attempt with a blazing INFERNO, however, swinging herself around with a powerful DRAGON TAIL afterwards the knocks the bovine sideways into a wall. Though it staggers to remain standing afterward, it eventually collapses.

It's at this point that Remiel goes through a familiar set of motions: pulling an empty luxury ball out of his pack before tossing it at the the zebra.

"Do you care for Mediterranean food?" He asks of Martín del Mar ; idle chatter.

Equine pokémon happen to be a favourite of the Marzán family and Mars spent quite a lot of time watching the ones they bred for their races be trained when growing up. As such, he’s no stranger to the “temper tantrums” like those of the wild Zebstrika, and he pays it little mind.

The same goes for the Rapidash who huffs in a way that almost sounds like a scoff, its attention instead being given to a Skarmory perched nearby.

”They’re some of my favourite dishes, actually. There’s nothing like good gazpacho during summer.” Mediterranean cuisine happens to be something that has been a constant presence throughout Mars’ life; both during his early childhood in Kalos and because it’s a preference of the Marzáns. Make that one thing they have good taste in. ”How about you?”

As they talk, both the Rapidash and the Skarmory charge towards each other, but while the metal bird’s PECK hits its target, the violet flames surrounding Incitatus’ body (FLAME BODY) are quick to BURN its opponent.

A YAMPER comes, seemingly, out of nowhere while they talk. It's a famished, dirty thing. But, even still, Remiel can't help but crouch down and offer it a scratch beneath the chin. His grandmother had owned two during his childhood. Yamper always brought along fond memories for him— what little existed from Calcifet Palace.

"Beef shawarma is good. Baba ghanoush, too." Though that one is mostly just really fun to say, he thinks, as he pulls an empty luxury ball out from his pack and taps it against the friendly Yamper's forehead. "Would you like to go get some after all this?"

Mars has never been a dog person, and watching Remiel reach down to pet the Yamper that seems to be in serious need of a bath, that sentiment persists within him. Then again, a lot of people probably feel that way about cat pokémon, so who is he to judge?

Remiel, in turn, despises most cats. This is due primarily to his Galarian Meowth, THORGRIM. So dogs aren't really all that bad, in his eyes. Regardless, he places the Yamper's ball away as he straightens in posture once more.

Nearby, Atsuko is bitten by a PACHIRISU on the tail (HYPER FANG). It tries to RUN AWAY, but a swiftly executed DRAGON DANCE grants the Charmeleon the speed it requires to slam the squirrel down with a DRAGON CLAW. The prince retrieves an empty ball from his pack and tosses it at the rodent afterward.

"I prefer the term... 'dinner'." He replies, casting a narrowed gaze on Mars. "I'm seeing somebody anyway. A certain pink-haired employee of yours." He adds with a slightly smug smile, turning away as he leaves to fetch his new capture.
