If there was one thing that Lars always strove to do it was to always pay his tabs… not let the ~~old man~~ oyaji cover them for him.

He wasn’t that poor, Arceus’ sake!

Before he could make another remark, a loud Screeching noise caught his attention and a Venomoth came flying into the clearing. Just as the Lucario moved to try and snipe it down, the Metagross instead aimed a well-timed blast of Psychic energy at it.

And to think the Venomoth was about to drop an unpleasant smattering of Sleep Powder all over the place.

Not today ~~Satan~~!

Another loud Screeching noise came from the Venomoth’s maw, but a second Psychic burst of energy pelted at it. Before it could crash into a nearby tree, Lars chucked another empty Pokéball at it.

He just knew when someone had reached their absolute limit when it came to drinking games. He could tell. It was just—something he’d gotten accustomed to over the years.

Before he could continue, a Grubbin came literally dropping out of the canopy above, almost smacking him on the head had he not seen the shape falling and sidestepped out of the way in time.

The pincers were clicking, an attempt to Bug Bite Lars—however a blast of Telekinetic power from the Metagross trailing behind them held the bug up in mid-air, just so Lars could see what had almost hit him.

“You little shit—” he continued before a blast of Psychic energy sent the Grubbin flying, just as the other Pokémon was about to retaliate with a Mud Slap attack.

Another Pokéball is thrown.

“And no, hilariously, this isn’t for the spokesperson of Charja Cola.”

the battle between lars and the little grubbin is amusing to see. he watches on, clapping every now and then before the poor grubbin's sent flying and into a pokeball.

not that either of them have heard from Zac Ramsay in a while. man's likely busy planning for the next quarter.
