The accusation drew forth another bright, melodic laugh from her lips as Elisabeth leaned back in her seat, meeting Summer's dazzling smile with one of her own.

"Miss Prescott, I am not a romantic by any stretch of the imagination. I am a rather tidy Ariados, keeping the Cutieflies in my web well-tended and out of sight from one another." Was that most of what her little flirtations were? Playing with her food before she decided if it was worth sucking the corpse dry?

Something in the back of her mind whispered otherwise. That perhaps she'd gotten so comfortable in her own webs, she ventured into others' too blindly, too boldly, out of nothing but pure curiosity at how well they might be woven.

And it might be for that reason that she found herself so entertained by Summer Atreides and her refusal of the drink offered to her from the suited table.

"You seem practised at that," Elisabeth commented, gesturing with her own drink towards the baffled faces of the men behind them. "The heartbreaking, that is."

It was not an insult, but neither was it a compliment: more a sly observation.

At the explanation given for Summer's dismissal, Elisabeth shrugged. "I don't know, I think there's plenty to commend you without invoking your father's name. Have you ever gone to one of these clubs anonymously? I'm sure you still attract plenty of attention as Summer sans Prescott."

At the comparison of Elisabeth to an ARIADOS, Summer couldn't help the amused chuckle escaping her mouth.

"I wouldn't have gone to the extent to compare you to such a creature, but... I find it fitting. A good analogy for something I believe in myself."

Though perhaps Summer's own CUTIEFLIES were more known and public that Miss Fiorelli's.

"Heartbreaking is easy when you know the feeling yourself, I find," she answered truthfully with a shrug.

However, she refused to elaborate further.

Elisabeth asked if she had ever gone to a club anonymously. And truly? She hadn't. The thought of no one knowing who she was, not knowing her name, brought a small sensation of fear to Summer. Because what if someone didn't treat her how she should be treated?

At least, in her mind, she believed that she should be worshipped and praised for just breathing.

"I haven't. I'm not sure if I'd like falling into the category as a nobody. The attention and the recognition is almost too good to give up."

It was a curious deflection, one that caused Elisabeth's eyebrows to arch with faint surprise.

Certainly she understood the allure of prestige and status. Elisabeth herself had enjoyed the rank of nobility in Kalos, and all that it had afforded her -- the pleasant and unpleasant alike.

"If you like, then," she said, shrugging. Fingers curled around her glass as her lips curved into an easy smile. "Though I find there is a pleasure in anonymity, as well. I find I am loathe to give the allure of invisibility up, myself."

Then, as if abandoning the thought and its line of questioning altogether, Elisabeth released the glass and arose from her seat with a graceful descent. The beat of the music had long faded behind her, becoming something familiar in its pulsing hum. Subconsciously, her body began to sway slightly, falling into tune with the music.

Elisabeth flashed a mischievous smile at Summer, this one more enticing as she extended a hand.

"What do you think of a change of pace?" she suggested, indicating the dance floor behind her. "It's not a ballroom, but I think we two can make do, hm?"

"I suppose that's where we draw our lines in agreement. Though I wouldn't say it's a bad thing. In fact, I think having a friend like you is quite handy."

Her glass, whichever number it is, was finished, set to the side to be swept up and cleaned by the bartender. Summer gazed across the lounge, where a number of bodies mingled and danced with drinks in hand.

Never a moment of silence, even though it wasn't nearly as loud as the bars she and her brother attended.

Looking back as Elisabeth extended her hand, Summer looked down at it as she contemplated. Of course, it was a tease. She couldn't help but give her a hard time before accepting the hand given to her, rising to meet her.

"Of course, Miss Fiorelli. By all means."

Summer's coyness entertained Elisabeth immensely, though it only showed in the florist's amused smirk. There was much about the heiress that she admired, and the woman's pride was one of those things.

"At your leisure," Elisabeth said, taking Summer's hand at last with a breathy laugh as they entered the den of wolves.

Crowds parted, not for her, but for Summer Atreides -- her reputation made waves and attracted admirers alike, their whispers audible but unintelligible so close to the source of the music. Elisabeth paid them no mind; if Summer wished to act on her local fame, by all means.

She, however, wished to dance.

Faint memories of a karaoke cafe with Pace Mahmoud came and went as she allowed the electronic melody to wash over her, teasing the gentle sway of her hips back and forth with its steady beat. You didn't have to be versed in modern dance to understand the way that a song moved you, stirring something primal in the body into motion.

You simply had to cease caring who would see you, should the spotlight fall in your direction.

Like a magician, Summer parted the sea of people with her mere presence, guiding Elisabeth with a delicate hand as they entered the dance floor. It seemingly got quieter and louder at the same time.

With eyes on the both of them, with Elisabeth's stunning beauty not hidden unlike earlier.

Summer loved attention, of course, but she came here for drinks and fun with her newly formed friendship with Miss Fiorelli. No man or woman would catch her eye and bring her away from her fun.

"Is this music what you enjoy? I can request a different tune..."

"You're full of surprises tonight, Miss Prescott," the blonde said with a grin, equally delighted to see that her partner had no interest in abandoning Elisabeth alone on the dancefloor. The two fell into a rhythm like this, whatever eyes had fallen upon them in their dance ignored and disregarded as irrelevant to their evening. "How thoughtful of you to ask after my taste in music."

A pity that Elisabeth had no real meaningful answer to give; previous conversations with Callan Young and karaoke with Pace Mahmoud had both resulted in an admission of her own lack of experience with modern music. The classic songs she had learned to love didn't belong here; rather than fit the world to what she was used to, she adapted like water, shifting her expectations to match the tempo around them both.

Like a heartbeat pounding throughout the room, pulsing with raw life.

"Tonight is about broadening horizons. I will kindly relinquish the music into your care, I think."
