Melody Miro's voice is definitely wonderful — one of matias' favorites, actually — but the earplugs aren't for that. oh, gods, never for that. he'd listen to her music over and over again until the day he dies.[break][break]

“Ears of a Noivern? Really?” Must be pretty selective hearing. For how little he listened to her sometimes she would certainly argue that. Once he moves forward, she rolls her eyes playfully, hopping into a skip to catch up with him as she leads the way.

Eva watches with a curious stare as the Combee filter in and out of their nest, busy as always. A consistent hum vibrates through the air from the steady beat of their wings, “I think we should try and relocate it,” Eva decides. She hates the idea of destroying a whole nest of pokemon or leaving them with no place to go, “That way, they won’t have a reason to return or set up shop elsewhere, you know?”

However, this hive posed a particular challenge: there was no visible Vespiqueen.

relocating the nest sounds like the better idea compared to the brief one he had of burning it entirely. that wouldn't have been very nice for the combees, he imagines. so he nods, agreeing with her idea.[break][break]

"Laurence Anderson taught me how to do this once. well, he rambled on at the bar, but i'm sure i remember some of it."[break][break]

according to a tiktok video, they'd have to first take a part of the hive into a container, scoop combees into it, then repeat until they're all ready to be moved.[break][break]

but, again, eva's right: they need the queen.[break][break]

"i don't see her either," he mulls, "it's strange, right? you'd think they'd follow her wherever she goes."

Hm, what a strange predicament.

“Well, moving the hive without her would be pointless . . .“ a waste of their time really. For now, Little Root would unfortunately have to deal with their Combee situation. But not for long!

“Let’s investigate these Combee then maybe when we come back the queen will be here,” Eva thumbs the pokeball at her side that contains the rogue Combee from earlier, “We can block this area off to the public in the mean time to make sure no one else gets hurt.”

Eva hated leaving the job unfinished like this, but half-assing it wouldn’t get the answers they needed. So, after some research they would return, fully prepared to handle the situation at hand.
