Hideo had been caught off guard when his Rotomdex told him that it had seen a map show up after he’d filled that survey. He’d been even more surprised when it told him it got into contact with people online who’d seen different parts of the same map, and that they wanted to arrange a meetup to put the pieces together.

It was a bit annoying his Rotomdex did that on its own, but who could resist putting a map together? Even Hideo could get the appeal, and it would give him something to do in between catastrophes gym challenges.

Hideo had accepted the earpiece and the goggles that one of the people in the chat offered. Why get goggles when his eyes wouldn’t be open?

Easy answer: he wasn’t the one wearing the goggles.

No doubt the Dragonite would be easy to spot flying towards the group. The reflection off Aaron Toral ’s Skarmory made it easy to find them. In its arms was Hideo, the earpiece over his right ear.

Also in the Dragonite’s arms was a Beheeyem - the Psychic-type wearing the goggles over his eyes.

“Hideo here!” the boy announced over the headset. “Ready to find where this map leads us!” He’d made sure to pack well for the trip: among other things, he had a first-aid kit on him, as well as a print-out of his map piece - and his Rotomdex, though he’d only really need it if it needed to be consulted. Or they needed the screenshot of the map piece again.

Though not particularly acquainted with technology, Gwyar had always considered himself a practical and sometimes even pragmatic man.

As such, if he was offered a ride in a private plane...

Well duh.

"Officer Wledig on the scene as well!" He called out cheerfully from the back of the plane, raising his coffee in the air. Sitting besides him, Raki yipped cheerfully as he threw several confections and snacks in the air, snatching them all back before they so much as touched the floors.

Hideo’s Rotomdex hadn’t filled him in on who else would be coming here. Though to be fair, it only had internet handles to work off of. Despite the natural-tinny sound of the earpiece, Hideo could recognize a number of voices before they even spoke their names; the only voices he didn’t already know were PENELOPE LIVY ’s and Guillermo Marceliño ’s.

Unfortunately, his initial plan to just physically put the pieces together fell through as reality struck: it wasn’t going to be easy to just get everyone together in the air. “I can't be much help with editing images,” Hideo said, “But I can get my Rotomdex to send you our part. Just gotta get’em out first.”

His Dragonite halted in the air - per his Beheeyem’s instruction - so Hideo could reach into his bag and get out the Rotomdex. It took a quick moment before the device fly out of his hands and floated in front of him. “Nosey, mind sending him the screenshot again? We’re putting it all together now.”

“On it,” the Rotomdex said, following the command - and staying very close to Hideo and his Dragonite. It wouldn't be long until Alexei Ivanov got the screenshot_123.png file sent to his computer.

While his Rotomdex got on that, Hideo would chat along. “Not really rumors, but I’ve been caught up in a lot of weird stuff happening across Hoenn. Like, I didn’t get exposed to much when I was home, but I’m pretty sure if this much strangeness happened so quickly, I would’ve heard about it.” And his parents would’ve used them as another chain to hold him at home. “‘Specially the last few months.”

The bit Aaron Toral mentioned did catch his attention. "What was the riddle, Aaron?"
