Every hit of Josh Dragomir 's multi-attack combo landed, cascading sets of damage numerals making Josh smile as the two took the raid boss to its second phase. Purple dragon energy and red fire energy glowed around the three-headed dragon, the scene giving the combatants a reprieve for their white mage to patch the group's wounds with a casting of MEDIARAMA.

A large splash of lava forced Josh and his Beast to retreat to the outer edge of the platform to avoid being singed. The fire dragon leaped out of the lava lake, molten rock dripping from its tail and soaring around the crater in its six-winged glory. Even though the dragon could fly, it wasn't out of reach of Josh, thanks to his steed's legendary jumping prowess. "Alright, buddy! See if you can lure it toward me!" the Gym Leader suggested.

After hitting the blatant Omnislash, Josh felt dizzy and sluggish but quickly managed to recover himself. Who knew that Interpol training could help in a video game like this? He certainly hadn't thought of that possibility, but here he was. But it didn't seem like the dragon thing was finished just yet. Devlin told him to lure it to him, so, well, that's just what he would have to do, wasn't it?

Launching a Fire spell at the creature to get its attention, Josh would begin waving his arms as the Charizard started hovering down lower towards the younger Josh. "C'mon! Follow the pretty pony! Follow the pretty pony, big guy!" he called out, shedding that stoic demeanor a moment and channeling that contest personality in the process to lead it back.

The crazed flurry of slashes left the dragon on its last legs and vulnerable to the biggest strike Josh could muster. With the creature stunned, Josh had time to set up for a big finishing blow. As he raised his sword high above his head, his mount's thundercloud glowed bright white. Though the tactic of DONUM GLADI would be a really expensive version of the skill Charge, it served the same purpose, their foe taking a turn off to get back to its feet.

The blistering fast "Raikou" lunged toward the instance's boss, making a beeline for the largest of its sword-inflicted wounds. Making a daring leap from the swiftly-galloping feline's back, he plunged his electric blade into the foe's open wound in a vicious, charged STORM STRIKE, a bright flash of the immediate environment an indicator of the critical hit. Resistance to electricity meant little in the face of so many multipliers, a gorgeous dissolving animation bringing a smile to the young man's face.

Looking at the loot list that popped up on screen afterward, Josh shook his head. "No Pyre Ashes," he remarked, failing to get the Moltres mount advertised as the raid's top prize. "What in the world... not even a single rare! This is all uncommon loot for this instance. You do any better?"
