"Well, yeah, it's my project!" Mint said with a laugh, playfully rolling his eyes at Ashley. As he worked the little attachable cameras spring to life. Tiny LEDs flash and blink patterns as Mint ran through initial maintenance and checks before use. It doesn't take too long now, having done it so many times before. He's familiar with Lulu Flint 's equipment. [break][break]

"Kep?" he echoed tilting his head. "Uhh...kepler brueshaber ? I think I've seen him around Dr. Flint's lab but I haven't spoken to him much." he said with a shrug before shutting closed the computer as his little drones were ready. He gives his Tangrowth a thumbs up for attachment. Linguini's vines take care of the rest, wrapping around cameras and beginning to deploy them. [break][break]

"This stuff? Gym Leader Josh Devlin . He's kind of intense, and his city is huge. Though, I've tried to hit big and small places just to get a good mix." He's not sure if it would affect anything, but it was good to consider the differences between population. For what exactly? Couldn't put his finger on it, but seemed like a good variable to be aware of. "Anyway, after I get my video feed, then we just retrieve our equipment and head out." he said with a laugh. "Though it might not be you with me. It doesn't really matter who grabs this stuff as long as they do."

When Ashley first met Mint, he just thought he was a pretty face to booty blast into orbit in the pool. Considering his assumption had left 'cute giggly boy, bit dumb' in his head, that guilt would be carried with him. Judging from his own tendencies and lovelife, Ashley preferred a smart partner as is.

Which, had they not paved over that awkwardness, would have made it worse.

Thankfully, he does have Kep now, and as he takes a breath in. At least he never has to linger. Instead, he sees Mint give a thumbs up, and Linguini takes care of the rest of it, which has Ashley and Sunny both watching in a bit of intrigue. It would have been fine...

Until, that is, when Mint mentions whose Gym it is, and Ashley's smile disappears.

"Ah." He knows the guy enough. They camped, after all. It leaves a bad, irritating taste in his mouth as he closes his eyes and exhales. How long had he been holding in that breath. He has to push through that though. The League had some good people. Josh was intense, but he wasn't a bad guy. Silver eyes look back to Sunny, who worriedly enough hugs into Ashley's head.

"Shouldn't be too hard then. If you need me for it, let me know. I got you."

No favoritism. The League was a plague and needed its own reformation.

Mint nodded along before glancing over at Ashley grinning as he finished his work. "Sure. Wouldn't be a hard mission at all." He said with a laugh as Linguini retracted his vines and gave Mint a little thumbs up. He nods at his laptop, packs it up and stretches. [break][break]

"Let's head out." He stated, eyeing his partner in crime before adding. "We can grab a late night bite, if you're up to it." Again, another broad grin is flashed. "Rocket's dime and all." He said before returning hsi Tangrowth and hoping into his truck. He waited for Ashley to join him, settling into the driver's seat as he kept his attention on their surroundings.

With a final glance over his shoulder to what was done, the promise of food on Rocket's dime does appease him, and Sunny seems to be happy to hear that too. His mouth isn't in a smile as he turns towards the Gym. It's... conflicted.

"Yeah... I'm feeling Alolan tonight. You?" Maybe some good fish would help clear his mood. As he gets into the passenger seat, Sunny now in his hoodie again, he stares forward. With a sheepish smile, he just hopes.

Hopes Josh isn't going to find out who did this to him. It's just business. Keep telling yourself that, Ash.

Coming back from a long weekend, something peculiar caught Josh's eye on the front corner of his Gym property: a large quantity of cargo crates. Figuring it was just a restock of office supplies and other things needed to run the Gym, he at first paid them no heed. It was only when several of his interns pointed out the big red R on two sides of the crate that alarm bells started to ring in the Gym Leader's mind. The crates were filled with emergency supplies, also labeled with the same big red R. That could only mean the presence of Team Rocket.

Why, though? Unless... was the Desert Primal Point's location leaked somehow? If so, Josh could find himself at the helm of a major military operation he was not ready to lead. It would be prudent to quash this while he could. "What do you want me to do with them?" Second-in-command SHAWN RICHARDS asked. "All these boxes have the same label on them. I looked inside, and they're legitimate. They've just got the Rocket logo on them."

"Nothing," Josh quickly replied. "We're leaving them where they are and having Mauville Law Enforcement take care of it. If they have to get Interpol involved, that's on them." With that, the Gym Leader immediately dialed the private line the League provided him to contact Law Enforcement. "Gym Leader Devlin. I came to open up the Gym this morning, and saw a large stack of medical supplies predominantly bearing the Team Rocket logo, in plain sight of the Gym's entrance. It appeared there some time within the last three days." He silently listened to the other end of the conversation and answered the dispatcher's follow-up questions as they came, though he had little information. "Thank you. Keep me apprised."

Once the call had been disconnected, Josh snapped his fingers toward Shawn. "When you get a minute, pull someone from Maintenance to get a tarp over those unsightly things. It's not urgent but I'd prefer it to be done at your earliest convenience. I gotta get the Gym opened up." Little did he know that his entire conversation, both with the police dispatcher and his Gym staff, had been recorded...

The buzzing around the supplies is always obvious. Panic, confusion, and finally caution settled as various members of the staff handled dealing with the supplies meant to help a city fighting for rations. [break][break]

The reaction is about as expected. But nothing explosive like outright destruction. Still, it's interesting to see how each gym leader reacts. That's what Mint thinks as he reviews the footage before waiting a couple of nights and then returning to pick up his equipment with the help of his Tangrowth. The little drones secured, he hopped back to HQ ready to pass off the cameras for maintenance once more.
