Rumors spread that a ghost blade was hunting that area. And sense Genesis loved her ghost types, she was there is a heartbeat. Green orbs flickered over the area, the edges of her lips curled up in a smile when she spotted the ghostly steel. Her eyes on the shiny, there was something almost ancient about the blade like they were crafted in the middles ages or something. Either way, she wanted it. Doing her best to be sneaky, the raven haired woman launched a ball at the swarm hoping her aim was true.

he would've brought a fighting-type for the steel-type if the aegislash weren't ghost-types as well.

kyle rolls up to the swarm with his mightyena on tow. he's not sure what triggered the sudden awakening of these pokemon, especially since it's difficult to differentiate from coincidence and correlation nowadays. regardless, taking care of them was crucial.

as soon as the call sounded, multiple trainers had assembled to where they were. kyle wasn't an exception.

his mightyena makes quick work of one, making it easy for kyle to throw a pokeball for a capture. he couldn't really take the time to wait for it though, as there were plenty more to take care of.

For who gets to slay the dragon!” Fern’s boisterous claims turn on his dragapult as he points, then mimics being stabbed in the heart, staggering near until he bumps into her long, dangling tail. Cecilia, to her credit, trills in offense of been having be made a hunting prize.[break][break]

“Oh, tosh, you know I’m only kidding,” they coo at her and she quickly relents for a scratch under her scaly chin. “Still though, another might make for a good spar..” In all reality, if Fern were to even attempt dually wielding the steel of his doublade’s in his own hands, his arms would be jelly within minutes. He has never been particularly strong. No, the ghost blades hold more interest for him in terms of their type. So of course he was going to wander his way to a clanging swarm of them.[break][break]

That and Fern has always been enamored with old Galarian tales—the stories he was told as a child of daring feats and knights in battle. Triumph in war, the conquest of lands and the felling of mighty beasts. These tales and mythologies ring true of home for him, and he’s gone so long without that he will seek out any glimmering trace of Galar that he can find. So as he aims for a particular shine among the clamor when he throws his pokeball, the sentiment rings true in his mind. This is a piece of home.[break][break]

there's weapons scattered about, most moving on their own accord.

some clash, some simply hum with hymns of old.

her expression is blank, as if observing requires an air of neutrality.

and despite herself, she gets closer. if she didn't know better, she'd call it a forgotten battlefield: the remnants of old houses erased by time and senseless fighting. somehow, she knows that this sight means something more than the past.

it's more... history repeating itself in the same old bloody fashion.

He didn't seem convinced. She scoffed at his incredulity as he flew them over the desert, its vast expanse like a boring brown blanket, akin to the especially dusty ones her mother kept up in the attic of her childhood home. Nothing exciting ever happened in the desert, Zoey knew. It was the sort of place snobby archeologists liked to pretend they were excited about, even though they hated standing out in the blinding sun for hours on end like any sane person would. "Just because you don't like to watch TV doesn't mean it isn't true," she pointed out. "I just wish all these medieval fantasy shows weren't so awful to women, you know? We had a pretty shit deal back in ye olde days."[break][break]
Castor grunted in agreement. At least they could agree on something today![break][break]
Just then, the glint of something metalic caught Zoey's eye, even though she was wearing her violet-tinted sunglasses to ward off the sun's nasty glare. Usually the desert made a person work for treasure, but something shiny seemed to be laying right there on the sand, as if begging to be snatched up. Zoey tugged urgently at Castor's neck.[break][break]
"There's something down there! Take me down, please." And because she'd said please, he did so with grace, swooping into an elegant dive that made Zoey's hair fly out behind her, but not too dramatically.[break][break]
The thing on the ground wasn't a treasure at all, it turned out. It was just an Aegislash, meandering about looking confused. Or was it determined? Hard to say for a Pokémon without much of a face to express with.[break][break]
As Castor hovered in the air above it, it seemed to grow agitated. "Do you think people really fought with swords once, Cas?" Zoey inquired curiously, completely undeterred by the Aegislash's raised arms, as if it might attack at any moment. The Charizard ignored her inquiry, sending out a preemptive FLARE BLITZ at the Aegislash before it could attempt to hurt Zoey. The girl coughed and waved her hands as the fire roared.[break][break]
"Cas! Come on! It's already so hot here!" Zoey cried out, annoyed. She plucked a Pokeball from her belt, and threw it at the now-on-fire Aegislash, hoping that would do the trick to get rid of Castor's flames. She wasn't entirely sure what she would do with an ancient sword Pokémon that had quite literally crawled out of a hole in the desert, but she'd figure it out later. Maybe she could play it some epic tunes.[break][break]

Aegislash are rather...interesting. It was one of the Pokémon that seemed to be the spirit of knights from the ancient ages...or so he thought at least. [break][break]

All he cares about is that they had a useful ability. Stance change, a move that he had to fend off himself during his battle with Greyson Connors. it weakens whoever strikes at the shield and it felt exhausting. [break][break]

He wanted another one for himself afterwards, to learn to fight against that exhaustion with his abilities. He spotted an aegislash and immediately began to spar with it, using a baton he found in the rocket sub to defend himself against it and eventually won out the duel. He threw a pokeball at the ghost to try and capture it for himself. [break][break]

Mint said with a grin, arms crossed and standing in a power stance as Tortellini flaoted behind him, groaning and expelling giant clouds of smog in support for his trainer. Mint coughed only a little, pointing towards the swarm of ghost blades. "C'mon babe, HEAT WAVE it's a BBQ time." he ordered sending the sea green beach ball into the hoard.

Unlike the rest of Cerberus, he stands back preferring the ranged option. Also...he sort of lacked....a real boy sword.... No he was not self conscious about it.
