A VENUSAUR emerges from the wilds, in search of its Bulbasaur. Leaving a trail of WORRY SEED everywhere, it cries out. At the sight of the two trainers, however, it roars and prepares to charge. Thankfully, Adal swiftly leaps in to strike the larger opponent down with a FIRE FANG. This gives Remiel a chance to cast a ball.

Returning to the conversation at hand, the royal thinks for a moment before responding. "Unlike your older brother, I did not take the path written out for me. I wanted to become a force in my own right and earn it. Thus I left it all behind, much to the chagrin of my mother. The DEVON CORPORATION had provided me with a work visa as an archaeologist, so Hoenn was it."

In a way, Remiel envies Matias upbringing. The prince had grown up wanting for nothing, after all... except the freedom to do what he wanted and become who he wanted. That denial of choice was something most people took for granted.

Having caught the scent of something, Adal stops to dig into the soil just ahead. Using his teeth, he plucks out a SUNKERN that attempts to ABSORB his energy away. With one fiery huff (FIRE FANG), however, it falls unconscious. The wolf turns to bring Remiel that roasted Sunkern, after which the Galarian presses a Luxury Ball against it.

"Opinions on me are mixed. I'm certainly not loved by all, but if I wanted to return I probably could." He responds, packing away his latest capture. "In fact, my mother's counting on it." The royal sighs.

"I left that behind because becoming king meant sacrificing the basic freedom to live my life as I pleased. The responsibilities and expectations of a man with that level of power are always held to great scrutiny."

And he had most certainly faced enough of that as heir apparent alone.

Suddenly, a TAROUNTULA leaps out from the forest nearby. Just before it bites down with a BUG BITE, however, Adal tackles it away with an ACCELEROCK. The wolf then leaves to fetch its battered body, after which Remiel captures it with a Luxury Ball before returning.

it does not take much for him to begin to understand. after hearing remy's answer, it makes sense now. he'd likely leave all his assigned duties behind as well to pursue his own path. to make decisions that he wants to make instead of what he's expected to.[break][break]

the wild weezing's STENCH leaks over, calling for their attention. before it can get its TOXIC off, however, tangrowth is quick on the draw with its SLEEP POWDER. goodnight, poison binch.

Remiel smiles. "I can't say I am either. Being able to help my countrymen here as Galarian Ambassador is a fine feeling, but it eats up most of my time." Before he can continue, however, a NYMBLE suddenly darts out from the bushes to SUCKER PUNCH his Lycanroc. Thankfully, the attack proves rather ineffective.

Before the dark little cricket can bounce away to safety, Adal descends upon it with TOUGH CLAWS before biting it with a FIRE FANG. The little bug stands no chance against this attack. When the Lycanroc backs away to reveal its unconscious body, Remiel pulls out a Luxury Ball and casts it down for capture. "Another Paldean Pokémon..."

Remiel shakes his head. "I find some fulfillment in it, but it isn't what I had planned for myself. I suppose you can call it... a circumstance of an agreement I made with my mother." He adds.

Nearby, a MARACTUS that had been following the PANSAGE from earlier appears from the bushes. Enraged that its friend had been stolen, the spiky plant swings a NEEDLE ARM at Adal. The wolf bites down on that arm with a FIRE FANG, then shakes the Maractus around like a ragdoll. When it's all said and done, he drops it.

Pulling an empty Luxury Ball out of his pack, Remiel casts it down for a capture. He then looks ahead, noting the exit to the Petalburg Woods. "Well, my friend, it seems like we've made it. It was nice getting to know a bit more about you." He smiles, extending a handshake.
