Callan and his large pile of salt stood amidst the Battle Hut's training ground. Facing him was his training partner for the day, Callan had invited Raziel Beckett as part of a training exercise in order ot identify the weaknesses apparent in both Pokemon.

When his partner arrives, he provides a momentary smile and offers a handshake. "Thank for helping me do this." He replied, as his Garganacl, Lars, stood on his side of the field to prep for the battle ahead. "How does it feel to train Kingambit? Out of curiosity."

Getting the call for training wasn't something he did often. Usually training with himself, but seeing how it was from one of not only one of the Rangers, but also an Elite Four member? He follows the social norm as the other offers his hand to shake and follows suit. He gives a nod, "Sure always happy to help," he offers before giving a shrug. [break][break]

"Sorry I'm not sure myself, right now I have three of my Bisharp who I'm trying to decide on giving the crest to as I hear having more than one of the Kingambit can be.... chaotic," that was the simple version, "I rather not have the team divided," with that he looks to the three that were being considered as if to ask which wanted to try and it was Pitch who came up, punching his fist together to tell the Elite four member he was ready.

Callan's Garganacl takes a widened posture as it readies itself for battle. Salt slowly flows from its body, like sand as it moves. "Lars, IRON DEFENSE!" Callan orders, as the salt golem hardens itself in response with steel energy, the salt blocks crystallize into pink blocks.

"Same, Pitch and Blue seemed excited at the idea," Razz offers back with a nod as they take their place for battle. Blue seemingly annoyed that Pitch gets the battle while Yellow is indifferent. [break][break]

When the battle starts Pitch is on the move, not seeming to care too much as the other's defenses have risen as it goes in for an attack with an IRON HEAD to see how well it's attack matches against the salt pokemon.

The Garganacl's defense hardens against the Bisharp's IRON HEAD, but the force of Razz's Bisharp stumbles the Garganacl, leaving it open for a secondary attack.

Lars balances itself on its hind leg, its salt arms flailing barely as it's momentarily open for a follow up strike.

With the Iron Head hitting it's mark and making the salt Rock pokmon successfully flinch Pitch decides to take advantage of the situation with his most unique attack as it brings up an arm while the other is struggling to get their feet under them. Water forming before launching itself like a cannon as they use HYDRO CANNON to try and do as much damage as it could before it could move again. [break][break]

Sure he is too tired to move after, but they hope it will leave the other in a much weaker condition.

The Hydro Cannon lands, delivering a devastating blow to the Garganacl, however its Iron Defense had previously mitigated the blow from the IRON HEAD. The HYDRO CANNON connects with full force as Lars groans from the water, leaving it in critical health. Unfortunately, it did not knock it out just yet.

With the Bisharp momentarily stunned, Callan sees the opportunity for a counter attack. "Alright Lars, BODY PRESS!" He orders, as the salt golem raises its arms and applies its defense boosted full body force into Pitch.

This pokemon was definately sturdy he would give it that. Though it seems like it was finally about to attack, and with the command of the FLYING PRESS Razz was worried. Especially with the tired Bisharp unable to defend himself against the attack as the salt pokemon's attack comes crashing in and knocking the Bisharp back. Its heavy body being the only reason it didn't just go flying like a cartoon. [break][break]

The other's training as an elite four member really showing as when Razz gets a good look at Pitch from his standing to see the black Bisharp knocked out which just makes him chuckle lightly, "looks like you win," he tells the other as he moves to where his pokemon was as he took out one of his healing items to help Pitch out. [break][break]

"Did you really named your pokemon after Laurence Anderson?"

Lars's big heft salt body squeezes down on the BISHARP with a BODY PRESS, but once Razz's Pokemon was unable to battle, it stands back up immediately and remains stationary. In this regard, despite being made entirely of salt, the Garganacl was unlike anything similar to Lars in personality.

"Yeah, I named him after our extraordinarily briny Head Ranger." Callan chuckles, "Thank you for the battle Razz." Returning the Garganacl back into its Ultra Ball, Callan walks towards Razz, "Do you want to grab a coffee before we split?"
