Surveying the camp, Gunner agreed with Greyson's assessment. The group of Rockets beneath them had to be an advanced party, led by someone either confident or powerful. The best plan would be to strike that person down as soon as possible. Cutting off the head of the Ekans, as the saying went.[break][break]

"Got it," Gunner said, nodding his head in confirmation of the plan.[break][break]

To complement Greyson's Scizor, the agent summoned his Salamence, Bruin. He hopped onto Bruin's back and the pair took wing, diving down along the cliff's face while Greyson and Scizor descended by foot.[break][break]

As soon as Bruin landed at the edge of camp, an EARTHQUAKE shook the immediate area, causing the exact sort of chaos Greyson Connors wanted.

The oncoming rush of another Salamence caught Gunner and Bruin off guard. The masked agent leaped from the back of his Pokémon as the Dragon-type received the DRAGON RUSH in full force, skidding across the ground thanks to the momentum of his attacker. In retaliation, Bruin raked DRAGON CLAWS at the other Salamence, seeking to draw blood.[break][break]

Meanwhile, Gunner joined Greyson. He recognized the blonde man facing them from internal reports: THEO BECKETT, a notorious underboss brought up in Team Rocket's Kanto regime.[break][break]

Gunner set his jaw, his hand moving instinctively to the knife sheathed at his belt. All around them, shouts from the forward camp filled the air, yet he did not notice them, nor did he care. Here was a perpetrator of Kanto's crimes.[break][break]

Here, they would pay.

the scisor beside him is less affected and she dashes in, a BULLET PUNCH aimed directly for the underboss.

would this this too descend into a brawl of trainers?

Gunner, on the other hand, had no qualms with killing terrorists. They deserved nothing less than death.[break][break]

Yet the scatterbangs went off before he could act. He staggered backward, blinded, his ears ringing. A thunderous roar filled the air, the cry of his Salamence as the other's jaws closed around his flesh.[break][break]

While Greyson's Scizor launched itself at Theo, Gunner turned his attention to the Pokémon battle nearby. "Bruin, KN to four!" he yelled over the din.[break][break]

Upon hearing the command, his Salamence shook off the other and took wing. FLY brought him high up into the air, poised to descend upon the enemy.

but as chaos continues to spread all around them, he finds himself unable to command his forces with the appropriate level required.[break][break]

a banette rises from his shadow to take the BULLET PUNCH, giggling as it conjures up WILL-O-WISP to burn the scizor.[break][break]

he whistles, ordering his salamence to veer away from the other one for the moment. it turns and DRAGON RUSHES toward Gunner Graves, looking to slam into the man.[break][break]

it does little to deter her.[break][break]

she quickly begins to fill the battlefield with her copies (DOUBLE TEAM), eratically shifting places with one another. the mass fills this side of the field with same glistening scarlet chrome armor. half of the mass splits off to target THEO BECKETT , while the other chases after the ghost, each rearing back with a myriad of different attacks.

all the while, the real one, prepares for a brutal strike on the underboss himself.[break]

"I'm good!" Gunner confirmed before turning to see the enemy Salamence rushing toward him.[break][break]

Before it could reach him, however, his own Salamence descended to crash into his charging opponent. If successful, the two Dragon-types would skid across the earth, raising up a cloud of dust and dirt.[break][break]

Still, there was no need to stay in the collision course of an angry Pokémon. Gunner dashed closer to Greyson, throwing a sticky glob in the space he'd occupied in an attempt to slow down the green Salamence.
