Just like she'd told him when they last met, they'd see each other soon. Of course, she didn't expect it to be so soon though. After going through the chipping process and being debriefed by her numerous new council 'friends', she was released. Not without being constantly monitored though, but that had yet to bother her. [break][break]

She was to be on standby until the required her services. She just didn't anticipate they would call on her so quickly, so she assumed this was a test of sorts. And of course, she was greeted by none other than the lovely Agent Graves for this little test of hers. She had to resist the urge to start pressing his buttons immediately. A short 'miss me?' on the tip of her tongue left unsaid. But even if she didn't say anything her smug expression said it all. [break][break]

For this mission today it would seem they were raiding a Rocket science lab. A quick glance around and Serena could tell this wasn't one of the main once. Perhaps it was a temporary outpost here. If that was the case it would be easier to get into. The place looked abandoned on the outside, which made it a perfect place to set up shop. [break][break]

Crimson orbs watched as Agent Graves jiggled the doorknob before turning to her. "Not this way," he stated and Serena chuckled. "Not so fast pretty boy." she said as she reached for a pokeball on her hip. With a simple toss in the air and a flash her trusty Rotom appeared. Back from her juvenile days Serena had practiced hacking to the point it had become somewhat of a second nature to her. She didn't use her skills too much anymore but it sure came in handy in pinches like these. [break][break]

"Hit the cams and give me eyes." she ordered Bolt before slipping on a pair of Silph Tech smart glasses and pulled out her Rotom phone. Being used to other Rocket compounds it didn't take Bolt long till it found a hidden camera. Once it was integrated Serena began to get to work from her phone. [break][break]

Because of her time with Rocket it didn't take much time before the system yielded to Serena. Mostly because she had a clue about the inner workings of their security having assisted the team on numerous occasions. And because of her experience with Rocket she knew it wouldn't be simple enough to just lockpick their way in or brute force their way through. Of course Rocket had reinforced this place if it was serving as a lab.[break][break]

The sound of deadbolt locks shifting and gears grinding signified Serena had unlocked their way in. "Voilà" she grinned before swiftly sliding the glasses off and handing them to Agent Graves. If he were to accept them he'd find various displays in his field of vision. The footage from the cams, a simple map of the layout of this place and other things he could toggle. "See, not too bad." she said with a smirk before marching forward through the now opened door. [break][break]

Just as she had anticipated, the interior wasn't indicative to the exterior of the abandoned home. Inside was clearly refurbished with different pieces of industrial tech everywhere. Towards the back of the front room she spied and elevator. "The basement is our next goal." she said as she made her way to the elevator and pressed the button.

As Serena waited for the elevator to arrive her crimson orbs wandered around the room. She hadn't been to this outpost before but she'd been to similar ones. Some of the bigger ones were outfitted with tech similar to what they had at their bases in Sootopolis and the submarine. Meaning that's where they held their precious items and where they executed the important experiments.[break][break]

"Where did you obtain these?" Agent Graves' voice caught her off guard and reminded her she wasn't here alone. A small smirk played on her lips as she turned around. "Why? Want a pair?" she smirked. "I made some friends at HQ and they gave me some cool trinkets." she shrugged. "I figured you agents would know all about that." [break][break]

Then she suddenly gasped as she dramatically lifted a hand to her lips. "Don't tell me...they like me better than you now?" Rubbing it in his face that she'd been gifted items from the League instead of him was a cheap jab at trying to get on his nerves. But she couldn't help it, teasing him made all of this worthwhile for her. [break][break]

After all, if it was just cleanup that the League wanted her to do here she would've been able to do so faster without him here. So clearly there was something important for her to do during this test. Serena hated tests, so if she had to endure this she might as well have fun right? The elevator finally dinged as the metal doors slid open. [break][break]

She didn't think twice before stepping into the elevator and turning to face her partner. "Well, you coming?" she asked with a smug grin on her face as she slipped her glasses back on. It would help her to monitor the camera's feeds. Bolt would delete all the footage of them being here and replace it with a loop once they were finished here.

As expected, Agent Graves was in no mood for her antics today. But somehow that made it all the more sweeter to tease him. It was like a game of cat and mouse, she'd never grow bored as long kept entertaining her. The unlikely pair took a short ride on the elevator to the basement only to be greeted by pitch darkness on their arrival. [break][break]

Agent Graves was the first one to exit the elevator proceeding with plenty of caution for the both of them. Serena, on the other hand, leisurely relaxed her posture and shoved her hands in her pockets as she took her time following behind him. It didn't take long before the room was bathed in illuminating light and the pair could finally take a look at what was before them.[break][break]

Typically, like most of these outpost labs, an operating table was located in the middle of the room. As the former beast approached the table she realized it had been recently used as there was still evidence of bloody residuals. She quietly reached forward to feel the worn leather binding straps between her fingers.[break][break]

"What kind of experiments has Team Rocket done recently? Do you know?" Agent Graves asked her as she moved on to another area that caught her attention. "You mean other than the cute team building party exercises?" she replied back coolly as she held up a dish of what would seem to contain Tera Shards.[break][break]

Now that she got a better look at the environment, a certain recently promoted scientist had come to mind. Serena had never met her personally but she'd heard tons of things leading right up to her recent departure from Rocket. "Rocket's science section is full of eccentric psychos so it's tricky to narrow down their respective fields but..."[break][break]

She paused as her eyes narrowed as something dark red caught her eye behind a curtain in the corner of the room. Making her way over to it she quickly pulled the curtin back to reveal a wall covered in Unown symbols etched on the walls in what looked like blood. It didn't seem like it had a pattern to it but she wasn't exactly sure. Scrap paper littered the floor that also contained the Unown symbols.[break][break]

"Hmm..." she hummed before turning back to him with her arms crossed over her chest. "If I had to guess this place was being used to look into Terastallization." She said as she nodded toward where she found some remaining Tera Shards. "I'd heard some of the newer lab rats had gotten interested in Tera energy..." suddenly her face darkened as she glanced back at the restraints on the table. [break][break]

She was reminded of the original instillation of M.A.G.M.A. before its revision. Something she had been actively willing to pursue if it meant she could have the power to overpower Katherine. With a soft scoff she continued, "...and the creation of synthetic avatars." She pointed towards the operating table. [break][break]

"Those restraints aren't for pokémon, they're human restraints. They work different. You can also tell by some of the equipment that's displayed here right now." she said as she made her way over to him. "Clearly this stuff was used recently. See the tools on display here? They wouldn't use these for pokémon. Those are probably somewhere else here." [break][break]

Serena took one more quick scan of the place before nodding. "If I was being honest. This place screams more of a human torture basement that science lab. No kink shame though." she joked before letting out a sigh. "I've....personally seen some of the other ones so..." she said with a forced laugh.

His surprise was to be expected. The reveal of human experimentation had to be one of the most inhumane things to people with a properly working moral compass. But for Serena it just served to remind her of desperate times. If things had gone the way she wanted to back then she might've ended up as one of those botched experiments too. [break][break]

"Can we seize anything here for intel?" Agent Graves asked as she rushed around yanking drawers open looking for anything concrete. "Hmm, I'm not sure about that one." Serena said as she began to move, still at her relaxed pace, towards the opposite corner of the room. "Since this is a smaller outpost anything they have here wouldn't be anything of importance."[break][break]

She said as she began digging through things as well. "But it wouldn't hurt to look. Be careful though. I wouldn't be surprised if they would notice some things are missing or misplaced." It was just a touch of extra caution here. It was wartime so who knew how Rocket was bolstering their security. She didn't want to leave any evidence that they were here.

It was one of the few times Serena hated being right. She would've loved to come away with something tangible to prove she really was as capable as she boasted about. But as she continued her search it only confirmed her suspicions. There was nothing here for either of them. After a few more minutes of searching to no avail she put everything back the way she found it and headed towards Agent Graves. [break][break]

"Is there anything else we should check before we go?" He asked as he turned towards her. Serena shook her head. "Nothing but residuals and dead ends here. Best to get out before we leave any traces." She said as she crossed her arms. "Mmm, I'd take a picture of that though." she said as she nodded towards the horrific unown writing she'd found earlier.[break][break]

She was reminded how her brother had been obsessed with the unown as well as Mars before he left back to Sinnoh. Serena's brows knitted together in a frown. "I'm not sure what this is exactly but...I didn't hear about this being linked to the Tera Crystal experiments before I left." she muttered, "That and where there are unown the Drk Triad is not far behind."[break][break]

It would seem things were starting to get interesting now. "Let's go, we've found all we can here."
