a second protect rises, more flimsy than the last. it does not hold strong against the sheer force of the chatot's boomburst but it mitigates enough damage to allow for them to push forward.

"release the transform!"

as protect falls, so too does mew's disguise. the pink mythical morphs back into its normal form, tail happily swishing as it lets out a soft coo. she can feel its excitement like a little creeping sensation of bliss easing its way into the mind. briefly, she wonders if feels it too.

"go for the stone. whatever it takes..."

mew disappears into the shadows at their feet, then, and phantom force brings it far enough to close in on 's alolan raichu. when it leaps back up from the shadows, it looks like a blur of movement as phantom force finishes with mew slamming its entire body into the raichu to knock it down into the ground. once contact is made, mew does not linger to see if the raichu stays down. no, it needs to reach the stone, little body flying forward to cover more ground...

Chatot takes the PSYCHIC FANGS attack on the chin as he cries out in pain. [break][break]

"End it in one move cobalion! It's time for a curtain call!" she says as the legendary surges with energy from Melody calling out the z-move as CURTAIN CALL activates, cobalion's sword growing to an extremely big size as small little lights gather upon the blade and he leaps into the air, slamming the sword down onto the terrain as it causes the ground all around them to shake. It was in this moment that Elisabeth understood neither side was liable to get what they desired; more likely, both would simply be devastated as they attempted to outwit the other.[break][break]

The ground shook as the Cobalion's sword came crashing down. Nomi had to hold onto a nearby stalagmite to steady herself. Ginger had tried her best to reach the Seal Stone, but combined with her previous injuries, the CURTAIN CALL was too much for her to withstand. She fainted despite her initial burst of speed, falling limply to the ground. The crackling electricity that had permeated the room due to the ELECTRIC TERRAIN disappeared.[break][break]
Frustrated, Nomi grit her teeth and recalled her Alolan Raichu. Turning to Shade, she motioned for him to come back to her - leaving the Chatot to either faint or fly away. "Let's go," she sighed to the Marshadow. They would not recover a Seal Stone this time, but perhaps they could regroup and try again elsewhere. There was a chance that there was no Seal Stone at all in this cavern; Nomi hoped that was, in fact, the case...if they were going to be defeated, she hoped their adversaries did not benefit much from it.[break][break]
With a swirl of shadow, Shade PHANTOM FORCED Nomi out of range of the League Pokémon, towards the cave's exit. Along with , Nomi reluctantly retreated.
