Kouji didn’t like dressing up, he also didn’t like places like this.

Fortree seemed to be a place he would keep returning for, and in this case, in this faire, it was a place they had a job to do. A trade of information, and yet the person who they needed to gather the information from had picked a disguise chosen by many others.

”Are all informants this annoying?” He whispered to his partner for this mission, Temp, a person he could get along with well, and yet Kouji craned his neck both which ways as if to feel out the mobility of it. His right arm was still hurt, and he still had a slight hobble; but he felt better, and that was all that mattered.

"Yeah, usually." These types of missions were Temp's least favorite. It never felt like there was any meat in them. You just tracked down someone, be shady with each other a few minutes, then go back home. He wanted action.[break][break]

"They'll find us. I told them to keep an eye out for... this mess."[break][break]

The 'mess' in question being... Temp.[break][break]

He spoke down to Kouji Matsubara. Not on purpose, but because he was riding 'horseback' on a massive shiny Kommo-o. The pink and yellow dragon was decorated with a hat on her head and a few frilly ribbons like a princess.[break][break]

Temp was dressed up as a knight.[break][break]

Except it actually wasn't a knight costume. It was... his Sygna Suit. Except, except it wasn't fitted properly yet.[break][break]

It didn't have any of the Infinity Energy infused into it yet. Temp was supposed to wear it for a few days before sending it back to the maker to be finished. That way they could form fit it to his person better or something. He didn't know, he didn't make clothes.[break][break]

Even if he looked kind of stupid, Temp couldn't resist a little teasing.[break][break]

Kouji couldn’t help but release a deeper sigh at that.

Still, he tugged at the tunic that he wore underneath his dark brown cloak; his looser pants were of the same color, and yet the tunic was pure white with golden accents. He had a fake sword by his side, but yet.

”Aye, but I hope I ain’t gonna run into some guy called Frolo, I’m more of an Esmeralda fan.” He said between chuckles, it lightened the mood some, but he wanted action that he knew he wouldn’t get in a place like this one.

”What’s with that get-up anyway? Seems weird even for a place like this, tryna grow into your older brother’s clothes? Or is it Cil’s?” He said with a half smirk as he patted the sword at his side, his eyes scanned at the surroundings.

”The hell! I’d be a be-” He stopped himself as he tried to avoid getting wound up by the earlier comment. ”I thought about it, thought against it; I know how a knife and gun work, but I don’t like using stuff I can’t understand.” He said with a shrug.

”Maybe if I understand it in the future, I’ll use it. Looks crazy useful, saw some kinda crazy rider chick use one once, to ride on the wing of some pokemon.” He said as he ran a hand through his hair, before he held it tightly, his eyes fixed on the crowd as he released his hair, and then allowed himself to fall back until he was leaning against a wooden wall, his arms crossed over his chest.

"I dunno. Cill just told me that's what it was called. Some big fucking paper about the place. Took me fucking ages." Cillian Quinn had actually had to go back and help rewrite most of it. Temp had grown up very poor and without a formal education. He was lucky he could read at all even if poorly.[break][break]

"I am into people way smarter than me..." Before joining Rocket, Cillian was a scientist. Still dabbled in that shit in the secret science lab in their basement. Shame that Cill still wouldn't play 'Lab Assistant' with him down there. Damn sterile work spaces.[break][break]

Glancing around, Temp's eyes narrowed in on some flashy, Anime looking guy. He didn't even fit in with the rest of the crowd. And was heading for them with a purpose. Temp wrinkled his nose and rolled his eyes.[break][break]

Kouji calmed his breathing, his hand went inside of his tunic, and stayed there; resting on the hilt of his knife, his eyes focused on the man, and yet, he allowed Temp to take the lead in this one.

He watched as the man stopped a couple of steps in front of them, saying he stood out was one thing, but it was the shine on the hilt of the scabbard that told him that wasn’t just a model, it was a real sword; Kantonian in design.

A cryptic message, and yet it didn’t mean anything.
