DELILAH SILPH

HISTORY

Delilah was born in Saffron City, Kanto in 1997 to a poor single mother (Maria Ceres) but was adopted by the Silph family at the age of 8, after seeing the potential in her beauty and charming personality. Delilah attended private school all throughout her childhood, and was quickly identified as a gifted musical performer and actress. She got her first acting job when she was 10 years old, instantly becoming a child star.

From 2015-2019, Delilah attended the prestigious Wyndon Academy of the Performing Arts in Galar, where she made many connections with fellow budding celebrities. After graduating, Delilah focused on musical theater, but she was soon cast in her first major motion picture in 2020. This job led her to Unova, where she then focused on building her film career. A year later (2021), she released her first recorded album (Waking Dream). In 2022, Delilah became the CEO of her own makeup brand (Lila Cosmetics).

In 2023, Delilah moved back to Hoenn to be closer to her family, the Silphs having relocated from Kanto while she was focusing on becoming a celebrity.

PERSONALITY & TROPES

Delilah is a beloved celebrity who has gained a tremendous amount of popularity across many of the world's regions. Unlike some of her siblings, she embraced her adopted parents' high expectations, thriving under their tutelage and taking full advantage of the resources at her disposal. Addicted to the spotlight and blessed with a charismatic, creative demeanor, Delilah was always drawn to the performing arts.

Singer, actress, model - Delilah does it all. She is an ambitious woman who is fueled by adoration and positive attention, which may be an unconscious coping mechanism for dealing with past traumas and neglect from her birth family. Delilah believes a family as important as the Silphs need to maintain a good reputation with the general public, and has taken it upon herself to ensure they are always well-respected by the masses.

Delilah is a more mature version of the Idol trope, as well as based loosely on the idea of a Go-Getter Girl

THE SILPHS
The Silphs are a family with a complex, powerful history. Fiercely loyal to her family, Delilah has made it her personal mission to ensure their good reputation is constantly upheld amongst the general masses. Right now, Delilah is investigating the reason for the break-up between her older brother MATIAS SILPH and his former fiancée Eva Morales (the entire affair and altercation between them was a source of some very unfortunate bad press). She is also cozy with the Stones; hopes to take over Rotom TV.

THE CURE TO PRIMAL INTOXICATION
FERNANDO SILPH recently taunted Delilah with the knowledge that he and MATIAS SILPH are dying due to their Avatarships. PRIMAL INTOXICATION is now a subject Delilah is eager to learn more about. She refuses to accept that there is no way of saving her brothers, despite Fernando's insistence on martyring himself in order to save Hoenn.

PROVING HER USE
FERNANDO SILPH has insisted that Delilah leave Hoenn and return to Kalos, where she was last filming. He seems to believe she will only get in his way as an outsider who cannot possibly understand what Hoenn is going through. She wants to prove to her eldest brother that she is capable of doing good for the region, helping instead of hurting. She desperately seeks his approval and respect. Because of this, she is looking to explore Hoenn and understand the issues that plague it as much as possible. The more knowledge she has, the better equipped she will be to build her reputation (and the overall Silph reputation) as important protectors of Hoenn...
