[attr="class","mila2"] he's bigger and stronger than her, but she has the element of surprise. her heart soars with victory as she gets him underneath, but it's only a matter of seconds before he's manhandling her again and he's gasping at the air to breathe. mila's grinning at him though, cheeky and wide, and eyes glimmering with the air of innocence.

[break][break] "maybe!"

[break][break] but soon he's wading off into the surf, and she follows him. she plunges into the water a bit, swimming forward until she's only but a few inches from him. she resurfaces, carding her fingers through her hair and wiping the seawater from her face.

[break][break] "you're right," she says, smiling up at him. "the water feels great."

[break][break] "mei doesn't know what she's missing out on."

Mila resurfaced mere inches from Gunner, water streaming down her body and dripping from her hair. The sun illuminated her smile in a way that made his heart skip in his chest. Had she always been so beautiful?[break][break]

Without thinking, he drew her to him, lifting her up with the help of the buoyant waves so she could wrap her legs around his waist and her arms around his shoulders. Their faces hovered inches apart from each other.[break][break]

"Maybe it's better she's not here," Gunner murmured before kissing Mila on the lips. His nose nuzzled her cheek. "I have you all to myself."

[break][break] her heart skipped a beat — though she wasn't sure if it was due to fear or exhilaration. both seemed to rise within her whenever gunner said things like this, when he said things that made her wishing for something more.

[break][break] a laugh bubbles out of her as she's lifted by the waves, her legs immediately wrapping around his waist as his lips brushed against hers. eagerly, she pressed back against him, hands tangling in his hair.

[break][break] "Gunner Graves," she murmurs, slicking back his wet hair to reveal his forehead as she leans against him. her teeth drag against his bottom lip. her eyes glimmer dangerously. "now that you have me, what will you do with me?"

The sensation of Mila's fingers through his hair always filled Gunner with deep satisfaction. He hummed, pleased, as she cradled his head in her hands and kissed him back. Briefly, all he wished was for the world to melt away. They would be the only two people who mattered.[break][break]

"I can think of a few things," he replied, using her same words from earlier. His lips curled up into a mischievous grin.[break][break]

And then, without warning, he collapsed backward into the ocean. Unless Mila quickly disentangled herself from him, she'd be dragged underwater too. Thankfully, they were still in the shallows; she could surface with ease if she wanted.[break][break]

Only a few heartbeats later, Gunner brought his legs beneath him and stood up, resurfacing. The air filled with his deep laughter.

[attr="class","mila2"] her hands entangled in his hair, she stared into his blue, blue eyes. they were clear as lake-water, and she felt like she could get lost in them forever if she let them.

[break][break] when his words rumble back at her, desire coils in her stomach. she rocks against him, lips twitching into a smile to mimic along side of his. "in that case —"

[break][break] her words are cut off into a squeal as he collapsed backwards into the ocean. her legs untangle from his as she pushes herself to the surface, gasping for air.

[break][break] "you little shit!"

[break][break] mila's eyes gleam with a mixture of mischief and newfound purpose, before she lunges at him. she aims to plunge him into the water, same as before, but this time her lips close over his as they go under.

Mila's attack cut off Gunner's deep laugh as her mouth crushed against his. Automatically, his arms wrapped around her as they fell back into the water. The ocean closed around them, muting the world outside. He felt weightless, her body pressed against the full length of his torso.[break][break]

One of Gunner's hands moved to cradle Mila's face as he kissed her harder. Saltwater leaked into his mouth when he dragged his teeth on her lower lip, but he didn't care. He wished they could remain there, in each other's embrace and the ocean's.[break][break]

But the need for air urged Gunner upward. He pulled Mila up with him, their heads breaking the surface. After sucking in a lungful of air, he grinned at her.[break][break]

"In that case, what?"
