And still his SYGNA SUIT remained in development. He couldn't have imagined preparing for a situation such as this any better. Nevertheless, Elise Calcifet had seemed determined to make this journey. And Remiel Calcifet was determined to ensure she returned safely. So, with a sigh, he steps forward and nods.

"Right," He begins, scanning the glowing organ with his eyes before turning to his beloved cousin. "I volunteer to step forward and take the brunt of the residual effects myself. My abilities as an avatar might prove to grant me some resistance, anyway. That and I must ensure the safety of our dear Galarian Ambassador, as well." He teases.

Though he couldn't exactly stop her from helping if she wanted, the royal reaches into his pack and produces a small mining pick normally reserved for archaeological expeditions. And, before she has a chance to properly debate him, he advances to start mining the Poison-type Tera Crystals and the minerals imbued with Dynamax Energy.

They both make the trip to the Ultra Deep Sea where she insisted on it as the organ in front of them shines with energy. She watches him mine the Poison type Tera Crystals since he spoke of taking the brunt of the residual effects himself and teases a little that he wanted to ensure her safety, much like the words of a certain knight-in-training said to her when they were younger. “I’m glad you are looking out for my safety, cousin. Your declaration of my protection reminds me of the way Cadeyrn Osmond used to say that he’ll protect me as my knight.” The royal ambassador responds back to her cousin with a little giggle though now, she wondered how the knight was doing now.[break][break]

Taking a mining pick out of her own bag, the female royal begins helping her cousin with mining the minerals filled with Dynamax energy whcih was the safer route than picking at the Poison Tera shards and having to deal with the poisonous energy around them. She was glad that this would be something to spend some quality time with her cousin over especially since nowadays, he was doing archaeological expeditions on his own without the burden of being in office as the former Galarian Ambassador of Hoenn.

Pride swells in his heart. To be depended upon in such a manner by someone he cared for very deeply was one of the greatest honors. He nods with a smile before getting to work, transforming that pride into a well-needed burst of energy and determination.

After some time, his pack grows heavier with the bounty they've extracted. But his mental well-being takes a toll as well. The miasma filling this place begins to cause hazy hallucinations. The sight of the empty void beyond a strange translucent wall fills him with fear and anxiety. Logic bids him to stop and recover from this affliction...

But pride bids him to continue.

And, without a word, he does just so. "I can last a little longer," He assures Elise with a glance. "But you can stop and rest if need be." He adds, trying his best to ignore the encroaching threat of ULTRA BEASTS. Or the fact that he likely couldn't do all of this all by his lonesome.

Not matter how determined he was.

After a while of mining the minerals for the ore, her elder cousin speaks that she could take a break if she wanted and let him handle the mining. “I’ll take a break off and let you handle the rest.” She says as the female royal stops mining just to notice the encroaching Ultra Beasts and other mutated Pokemon teleport in unluckily since they would’ve stopped the mining there to take place in this chamber. Since those Ultra Beasts and the mutated Pokemon could prove some trouble if they were to attack them, she quickly sends out Kage the Gengar from his Pokeball to do the work of defense.[break][break]

“Use Protect. Now.” Her command carries a feeling of urgency as the Gengar follows it, the barrier erected by the move would provide a defense against the oncoming threats in the chamber which send out their attacks bouncing off the protective barrier. Kage does his move in throwing out Shadow Ball after Shadow Ball towards the Ultra Beasts and the mutated Pokemon, keeping them at bay. Remiel would count on her to protect him while he was busy ignoring the Ultra Beasts to mine away where her Gengar would be strong enough to try and take them all at once…if the ghost type was able to by himself.

What a bewildering sight! Was this a side-effect of prolonged exposure to these TERA CRYSTALS? Remiel did not know for certain. Nevertheless, the sometimes grotesque fusions sometimes proved to be rather... beautiful. Frankly, the royal was in complete awe about them.

Illusions or not, however, he would not stand down when approached aggressively. Drawing his DOUBLADE, the prince syncs with the spirit of his ancestor within before swiftly evading a SLASH from a... DODBUSKEN, he supposed it could be called? The fusion of a DODRIO and COMBUSKEN:

Elise, in the meantime, seemed to be dealing with some trouble of her own. Remiel spares a glance in her direction before striking the Dodbusken back with a swipe of his SACRED SWORD. "Need any help, cousin?" He asks.

The Gengar gets worn out from using Protect to defend against the onslaught of attacks from the Ultra Beasts, so she switches out her Gengar for pressing the button on her Mismagius’ Moon Ball as the presence of a Dodrio-looking fusion Pokemon comes into their view. Though it had some features of a chicken Pokemon, she knows that taking on this thing alone wouldn’t help her. Her elder cousin luckily asks if she needed help on taking on this weird fusion of a Dodrio and a Combusken.[break][break]

“Yes, I’ll need help from you, cousin. I don’t think I can take this one alone.” A grateful smile came from the Galarian princess as she turns towards her partner Pokemon. “Mana, be a dear and use Dazzling Gleam on that unsightly fusion Pokemon if you would.” Her command towards her Mismagius would elicit a nod from the female witch-like ghost as Mana’s body shines with a bright pink glow and the bright flash of light manages to finally finish off the Dodbusken.

You must escape with your gathered material. Your ally or allies may be incapacitated by the paranoia settling in their psyches, or perhaps, the eldritch mutations beginning to metamorphose their body or bodies.[break][break]

Depending on how much your characters have mined, you may need to lessen your extracted load to ensure successful escape from this wretched place. After all, the horrors that reside here may make chase.
