Perusing the winding path of the forested trail, the scent of the Unovan silk trees would emanate ever so greatly that it almost lulled the fairy-type trainer to sleep. She should have been used to the effects of the incense by now, but with her stumble being caught by the side of the Tropius that would walk beside her, she'd snap back out of it. All of the pokemon babies that waddled around were having fun though, splashing in nearby puddles when they got the chance; they were the cutest, all cloaked in shine with their various ways.[break][break]

Soon up the trail near the line where the forest met the clearing, the group would encounter a colbur berry tree, which appeared to have already been somewhat harvested. Only four or five berries remained, glimmering in their pink glory. Beginning to pick a few, Desiree would notice a rustle in one of the nearby bushes, which would soon project itself outwards to snag one of the berries on its own. A wild Clefable, the fairy-type trainer would gasp in delight; it was the exact same species as her baby Starlight, though much, much more grown. Perhaps a fairy grandma, it seemed just as enamored by the fellow pink individual as it did the pink berry.[break][break]

Giving the wild pokemon a little tap on its head, it would let out a tiny cosmic call, similar yet much more adult-ish in comparison to the Clefairy's. If only Starlight had come along on this little berry trip; she would have loved seeing one of her elders, but she was far too deep in a nap back home. Desiree felt the temptation to attempt a capture on the friendly wild pokemon, but she felt it would have been a bit too bashful. Coming home with a much older and stronger version of Starlight felt a little too wrong- she knew one-day Starlight would evolve, though. One day.[break][break]

Breaking into the bushes after waving goodbye, the Clefable was gone in no time. A few berries added to the fruit basket, Desiree and the group would continue their search for more.

Continuing on the route consisting of beautiful trees and bountiful berry trees, Desiree and the group of lil' babies found the motherload shortly after encountering the wild Clefable. In front of them were a neatly-kept assortment of berry trees and a giant roadside sign, reading that 'all are free to take as many berries as they please,' signed by 'the berry married couple'. Oh, how nice it would be to retire with a lifelong lover and live in the countryside, tending to berry trees; that would be a complete switch and a half for the idol, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Even though visiting her grandma on her countryside ranch was always fun at first, it would get boring after the first couple of days, and then it would flat-out suck.[break][break]

Hand extended out into the bunches of the first few trees and the next ones, it wouldn't be long before the basket was filled to the brim with multi-colored berries, a stunning assortment of flavors and shapes. The group would celebrate- though, unbeknownst to the fairy-type trainer, the incense still had more wild pokemon in store for her; out of the harvested bushes would appear a wild and fierce Cutiefly, developing itself in green-hued light. Using ABSORB against Desiree's Ralts, the psychic type would flinch momentarily before looking up at the wild pokemon, wondering why it would ever do such a disgraceful thing.[break][break]

Overprotective of her friend, Fuschia the Happiny would run towards the tiny fluttering creature and jump into the air, striking it with COVET. The two would not seem to back down, however- an all-out tiny gang war was starting by the berry sign, but extremely smaller scale when it came to their attacks. The wild Cutiefly would attempt to use its STRUGGLE BUG move against Happiny and would prove successful, but would shortly thereafter be hit by a fluctuating pink beam of Happiny's DISARMING VOICE.[break][break]

The girls were fighting! Even though both were starting to appear tired, Desiree knew that this would be a valuable learning moment for all these lil' pokemon around her; fights would be fights, but training was crucial for pokemon that would one day possibly need to defend their trainer from terrifying things, like the inside of those primal rifts. Luckily for the two exhausted brawlers, enough was enough. Removing one of her pink pokeballs from her bag, the fairy-type trainer would attempt a capture on the wild Cutiefly- that fierceness would be an appealing factor in her choice, and it was just so tiny and cute!
