Bathed in glory, they raise their sword high.[break][break] This isn’t the story of how a hero slays a dragon. That isn’t the story Navy wants to tell the people of Hoenn. This is the story of a dragon being a hero, too. For that to be the case, he must dominate Vortigern – remind him of something said long ago.[break][break] “I told you, no matter what, I was gonna be a Champ. You said you’d help me get there. You gonna just forget that? Gonna let Pops put you down like that?” From his sygna suit explodes a galaxy of power. Even those in the front row feel it – a draconic field, spreading violent energy across the stage. Vortigern bathes in that power, grows strong from it.[break][break] His rage builds. Like a volcano bubbling up, it explodes. Outrage takes him. Z-energy bathes Cobalion. Crystalbloom power spreads through Vortigern. It’s a contest of willpower. Vortigern slams against Cobalion, Cobalion’s sword slams against Vortigern. If he was the monster he would have become in Rocket’s hands, he would fall here. Cobalion would slay the villain.[break][break] But that isn’t the role he is meant to play. Not today. He slams into Cobalion. Again, and again, and again. He tears until it is done, until he alone stands. A warrior’s road ends in death or glory. There can be no other path for Navy or Vortigern.
