No sunlight came through the trees of Petalburg Forest even though it was the early afternoon that the royal ambassador decides to take her walk around the woods. Adjusting her dark blue jacket with her gloved hands for the cooler autumn weather with her free hand, her other arm holds the Kantonian Vulpix whose fur emits warmth from his body. Finding a tree stump for the duo to rest and have a little break from the stroll, Elise sets her Vulpix down for the fox to watch his trainer take out a bag of trail mix she bought from home. Much better than to buy the gas station’s overpriced 15 PD trail mix bag.[break][break]

Shun wags his tail excitedly as he tries to reach for one of the cashews the Galarian princess ate out of the bag after taking off her gloves. “I’ll let you eat the nuts only, but the raisins are terrible for you.” After eating a few more cashews, Elise gives a little handful to her Vulpix and watches Shun eat the handful with a few bites out of her hand.

After eating the cashews from his trainer’s hand, the fire type fox sees a wild Lileep in the middle of the clearing that they stopped at. With the wild Lileep staring off into the space of the taller trees, Shun tilts his head at the fossil Pokemon though he doesn’t appear to want to battle with the Lileep. When the Vulpix sees the Lileep hop away to the foliage in search of something else to do, he looks up to the ambassador as she gives him another handful of nuts.

Shun notes a wild female Budew coming to see the little snack time that the fox and his trainer were sharing together. A smile comes on the ambassador’s face when she gives the small grass type some of the nuts from her bag as the Budew eats the snack. The Vulpix yawns and curls up next to the female royal while the Budew trots off to find some other Pokemon to play with. Another yawn came from the male Vulpix as he looks at the pair of trees near the other dark wood ones.

During their walk in the woods, the Vulpix smells the scent of something sweet before he finds the smell coming from a wild Vileplume. The wild grass type was sitting on a log since it was helping to build up food storage for the long winter though the Vileplume looks up to the little fox and the ambassador that came to see the flower Pokemon. [break][break]

Shun gets asked by the Vileplume if the fox wanted to spar with the wild Pokemon for a bit. With a nod from the Vulpix, Shun goes first in attacking with an Extrasensory blast. The Vileplume is thrown back by the psychic blast and sends a Petal Blizzard which makes the fox whimper in pain from how sharp the petals were.[break][break]

Sending another Extrasensory blast, the Vulpix watched the Vileplume get knocked out as Elise tosses a Dusk Ball from her pack to make an attempt to catch the wild Vileplume.
