Rose reels up her second tiger stripey one of the day, and boy did this one fight. He was HUGE! Admirable, really. It took a little wrestling to get the Magikarp to stay still enough that she could free him of his hook, but she manages, and then without assistance, flops himself back into the water.[break][break]

Once more she takes a turn, wondering what other colored Magikarp she might catch.

Not orange! Sam could have whooped if he wasn't so paranoid about causing a scene. Too long in Rocket made him paranoid who would recognize him. Either way, excitement bubbled to the surface and showed in his eyes as he tossed that pink beauty back.

he wonders why Noelle Lane stole his rod when everyone knows he's a filthy casual at almost everything and that his rod wasn't special. if anything, it was an unlucky one since it kept giving him those normal magikarp with only the slight variations.

he steals hers when she goes for his, giving it a try if her rod was significantly more lucky than his.

The unexpected turn of events had left him rather surprised as he quickly ducked out of the Soda Pop shop, carrying a small bag that was filled with a dozen cans of soda. He’d only meant to purchase two, but since he’d landed the bottle going pop on him, he was given a lot of extra bottles as compensation—as well as being a good sport.

Now that his hair faintly smelled of what he suspected to be vanilla-flavored soda, he finds an outdoor shower stall to duck down into, drenching himself with enough water to get most of the scent out. He didn’t want to be left with an absolutely sticky feeling on his body the whole day.

Once that was done, he meandered his way back to where the Magikarp—holy crap.

The last time he was here there was only one pool and a lot of people crowding around it.

Now there were… several pools that looked to be an interconnected system of glass tubes, and within these, a whole crapton of Magikarp idled about.

Whoa. What the absolute fuck? He thinks to himself, blinking as he falls in line and grabs a fishing pole, waiting his turn. The line moves real slowly because there’s a lot of people around, and it takes him almost twenty minutes to make it to the front.

“Here goes…” he mutters once he’s close enough, casting a line down.
