he just wanted a magikarp that doesn't look normal. it doesn't even have to be pretty as long as it's not some regular run-of-a-mill magikarp. everyone was getting them. he just wants to experience the same thing as everyone else.

at the very least, the fish seemed to bite quickly. he casts the rod once more, eager to get another magikarp of perhaps a better quality than normal.

priam doesn't know how to fish. he never had an opportunity to do so despite having lived in vermillion as a child. he did try to jump on them and grab them with his hands however, but that was different from using a rod.

he waits, a lot of groaning and whining happening in between the waiting, but he eventually gets a bite. he quickly stands up from a sitting position and tugs the line with full force.

Now Alexei was sure that there was someone who had a failed breeding project somewhere and was giving away all the Magikarp that didn’t pass the test to whoever would want to take care of the floppy fish that didn’t even amount to anything—well, at least until they evolved into Gyarados.[break][break]

One Fish after the next, they were all bleeding together. Rose could not keep count, or remember how many fish, what colors they were, or how big. That was not the purpose of this activity. As far as she reckons, the purpose was just this: to relax and enjoy herself [break][break]

While she’s not sure why it’s so relaxing, she recognizes that it is. Just then, another strike and she begins to reel in the next catch. This one was big and strong!

Each magikarp he'd reel in would get observed for a few moments before getting tossed back into the water. Thin slivers of molten gold remain unwavering upon the Magikarp as Bronze's lips press into a firm line. Must not begin to resent the magikarp. He liked magikarp, quite a bit actually - but damn if it wasn't getting difficult to suppress the irrational resentment that strove to well up every time he plucked out a standard, run of the mill fish.

Why doesn't she have more water typed pokemon? It's not like she's ever disliked them it just wasn't until recently she really put effort into catching pokmeon. Well not so much that so much as really had any need to. She's had her original 3 since childhood and they've done their jobs too well perhaps.
